I glad I ran onto this sight . I have a 95 4x4 that I am going to use and have used to tow with . I have the 17 deg timing that I did using the snap on timing set ., 3 k governor kit , 10 plate . 215 injectors . Probably makes around 280 or so hp . Maby be less . I bought a Mishimoto radiator to help cooling and it seems to work ok towing . EGT and boost gauges also . When I did the dowel pin I was shocked it was already out a good ways . For towing I hate automatic transmissions so I bought a g56 and going to install it . I really appreciate your videos and your good advice . I keep a check out for the 6.7 and the 6.1 p pump as I might do that some time
Worked on cummins long time, owned only recently, just got 97 12v, swaped 215 pump for a higher hp. Build and put a 160 pump in. Afc live, mack plug, 4k gov speings, and 055 del. Valv. I know its only scratching the surface but its verry impressive especially towing and adjusting the fuel as i go. Afc live gets a bad name and dont know why.
Rob how do you get a 12valve to lope at idle? I was guessing timing and fuel, but dont know and if loping at idle would it be ok for a street truck, thanks john.

Right on. I will be doing a bunch of different engine combos and hopefully do a bunch dyno stuff in the feature.

The unit isn’t bad. Most guys don’t tune it. I have made lots of them for 15 years. So I have learned how to do it with or without

They’re is a few things that make them do it. It’s cool but after you run it for a bit you will grow to hate it lol

One more rob you said that sac injectors are louder, does that mean what i call crackle? Because that is what im going for.
Ya they make a bit more noise. If you add timing makes them noise as well
What would you guess my hp rating is at? I have 4” turbo back and #5 fuel plate. And boost line is plugged?? If that factors any. With a nv4500
wheel hp 200-250
What about Allison trans in motorhome? What can it handle?
I don't recommend more then 50-75hp extra power
