I just wanted to take a second to say that I love your videos. I am a novice and you guys make all of this so easy to understand. You are excellent teachers.
Holy moly. I didn't realize what you guys built and have to offer. Ive been out of the 12 valve world when this was coming into existence. But in 2015 when the "attitude adjuster" came out i laughed and was frustrated that people bought the "great idea" while all i could think afc adjustable fuel plate is practically useless and a in cab afc tuner would be the real deal since the afc can be basically a fuel plate and 95% of tuning is done in the afc. Great job.
I not a expert on the automatics , really enjoy watching you guys work and I might learn something . I seen the thrust washer come out and they really get loaded up as the impression is left on the back side . I think gm went to roller bearings on there tow haul models . If you guys ever do a 47 hr build to a 48 rh I like to see it with the better pump and all of the better parts thanks I appreciate it
Finally got this installed in my chevy cummins today. Cut out the cancerous looking growth in the intake plenum that blocks the rear cylinders, deleted the grid heater, installed valvesprings and 4k governor springs, with a 4" downpipe, 5" exhaust. Other than that all stock. 96, 215 p pump in a 95 silverado. How the clutch holds this I have no idea. First time I stuck my foot in it a little today I just started laughing out loud. And to think, that's just scratching the surface. Only tiny suggestion I have on the AFC live is if the 2 tubes were marked the whole length. I cut the ends shorter and then didn't know which was which, but hey, 50/50 chance & still got it right. Awesome product.
Id rather see someone take their time then try to show how fast they are While dirt debris get into to injectors and injection pump I always spay every thing down with brake clean and blow off dust and dirt Sometimes slow is fast while thinking ahead
awesome video, the directions that come with the kit are well written and along with this vid makes for some of the best directions I've seen. well done !!
There are two plugs on the intake about 12 inches apart and one of them has to go to the AFC for it to run. Your boost gauge line is probably plugged into the front one which would just be a blocked off plug on a stock truck you should be able to just follow the instructions in the video and make sure you're removing the actual AFC boost line which is going to be the rear one.
I'm really surprised you don't put plastic caps over delivery valves and injectors, if I'd not done that when I was an apprentice my tradesmen or boss would have beat me senseless, plus I would have to put injector lines in plastic bag, and nothing would have been undone without using white spirits or these days brake cleaner before and as progress, I've watched so may videos working on diesels and very seldom see high levels of contamination control anywhere near CAT standards?
Just did the mods to my AFC tonight using the install kit. My AFC had a T on the output. One hard line went to the head and one went to the wastegate on the factory turbo. I'm updating to a K27 at the same time. Do I need to do anything special for this install?
How would you run a boost gauge and AFC Live at the same time? Where you screwed the fitting on the cylinder head for the AFC Live is where a guy would put the fitting for a boost gauge isn't it? It would be cool to see the AFC boost pressure as well as the actual boost the turbo is making.
thanks for this just got my afc 2 days ago and I have my isspro boost gauge in the same port... hmmm.. ill have to find out where the second port is or else somehow splice irt like PDD asaid.. idk
Anyone else find it annoying that the replacement screws aren't matched to the original hardware or is that just me? I hate having to grab multiple different tools to take one thing apart. It would have been nice if they offered replacement screws for all or matched to what is already there. I know you shouldn't have to take this apart again but I'm nit picky.
With my 2005 5.9 24v what would be a good aftermarket turbo that would give the truck more power and torque than the stock turbo but not a crazy big one
Could a person use the AFC Live in conjunction with water/methanol injection to both gain power and keep your EGT's under control? When I finally get the truck I want I was thinking about running these together along with maybe a 450hp fueling package and was wondering if these would all work together nicely? I also want an engine that is reliable. I don't mind wrenching on them I just don't want rods hanging out of the block :) Is it possible to have reliability and circa 900 ft/lbs of torque from a 5.9? Thanks for the info I truly appreciate it.
Great vid! In a video that you did back in 2015 when yall were showing the very first one yall did while driving out on I-25. At the end of the vid, yall made a comment about it working on a first gen dodge. I am taking it as that it will work on the old ve rotary pump. Am I correct? The reason I am wodering about this is because ever since then yall have shown it only on the p7100 pump. So I am wondering if you will ever show how to install one on an old ve pump, and/or if yall have had anyone purchase it for a ve pump. I am possibly looking into it if you have.
Why is my pre boost screw under so much tension when installed on pump ?? I’ll feel it contact diaphragm then go to put say 1 full turn into it and man there’s a pile of tension. What’s causing that
PowerDrivenDiesel after watching Will turn pretty much what seemed effortlessly the 3mm Allen wrench with AFC in the vice, let me tell ya mines installed in the truck and it’s Very stiff to turn. Almost to the point if I torqued on it much more it wouldn’t surprise me if it twisted off
Awsom video best so fare would like some more detailed close up but buy fare the best how videos on the network thanks will be ordering one as son as motor arrives and I installed it in my 77 c30 square body as you guys call them thanks
I removed my p-pump and lost track of which air line is which for the AFC Live. When facing the tuner, I have the lefthand air line in line with the red power dial connected to my AFC housing and the righthand line going to cylinder head. Is this correct or do I have it backwards?
I have the exact same question. My lines were not labeled when I received the afc live and dont really want to take things apart again. Did you ever get an answer?
Unfortunately back in 2012 when I was modding my AFC I ground too much off my AFC Foot and here Will mentions we lose bottom end smoke control and I’m wondering if I had the stock length I could maybe weld some meat back in there. I’d appreciate someone maybe letting me know what the overall length of foot is. The bottom section that’s on an angle and they suggest we grind upper portion flat. Appreciate it.
I just wanted to take a second to say that I love your videos. I am a novice and you guys make all of this so easy to understand. You are excellent teachers.
I learned more in 30 minutes than I have in hours of reading.
Glad it helped!
Did someone tell him to go as fast as possible? This guy is really moving!

I want a 12v just because of this product.
The AFC live unit is a great product with lots of adjustability. The guys at PDD lead the way in diesel upgrades. Thanks

Good video dudes, can’t wait to put my AFC LIVE I got from you guys in this week, hopefully it goes smoothly.
Good luck!

Just installed AFC Live on my truck last night, very simple installation and great instructions! Such an awesome product!
Did you have to remove the fuel plate ?
Thank you all very much I really like your videos thanks CK
For sure getting afc live before I put my 12v in my k5 blazer

PowerDrivenDiesel open injection pump, engine intake and you guys take a die grinder to the pump head... doesn't look very professional
New favorite channel on RUclips
Sorry to was watching a tear now of a 48re and I guess the video changed while I was typing lol I enjoy your videos
What if you have a boost gauge wire already running into that factory intake thread.
Remove it ? Wtf kinda comment is that

Those are some fierce hair plugs on todd in the opening clip.

Will this work the same way on my P-pump 8.3? The pump is a 7100 series as well. Do you have Delivery Valves to improve on the 8.3?
Great video guys. "Liked" and "subscribed" !
Do I have to do all the fuel plate stuff and the springs or can I just hook up the afc live lines on the afc and not do anything else to the afc
You will need to do it all in order for it to work correctly
What happens if you get the afc travel kit but have a 0 degree fuel plate? Or is the fuel plate necessary?
The travel spring changes what psi the foot moves at.

next video showing it work inside the cab :)
Michael Taylor they already made a video of it in cab

that bothered me very much. either match whats there, or charge me a few bucks for all new screws. its not just a hassle, it doesnt look very nice.
With my 2005 5.9 24v what would be a good aftermarket turbo that would give the truck more power and torque than the stock turbo but not a crazy big one
Great video power driven diesel!!

With the afc on the truck if you have the star wheel all the way bottomed out is that going to be towards the firewall or radiator

***** well crud
😂 I'm late, like way late.....but.....is it really a job unless you have an open wound while wrenching 😅

So both the AFC Live and Turbo Tuner can share the same boost reference while splitting with supplied Tee ??
@@pddofficial this is what I was thinking you guys got a new sub from me I like the detail you guys go into.
Awsom video best so fare would like some more detailed close up but buy fare the best how videos on the network thanks will be ordering one as son as motor arrives and I installed it in my 77 c30 square body as you guys call them thanks
Will this AFC live work on a 4bt Cummins P 7100 the same as the 5 9
How much horsepower can you make with the afc live
I have issues with the velcro it doesnt really hold it together really loose
What do you charge to complete the install of afc live?
Can you run any p pump with the afc live?
So how does this afc work without a plate?
The afc box stops the foot in stead of the original fuel plate stoping the foot
i bought one of this in ebay, in the video doesn't look if put the fuel plate or not after put afc ? thanks
i saw the video again you right sory

The link for the AFC control whatever is is not found when I click on the link it does nothing says not found
Ok thanks will look into it
Great vid 👍🏻
Wouldn’t you want to be afraid of runaway?
Where can I find the bolts for the afc valve there not available at the dealer
Go to a hardware store
@@EastMenloPark1650 can I have bolt size
Would the afc live work good with a towing setup?
I’ve heard they work great for towing
Any shops around that would install this in Idaho or around Idaho, I would be willing to travel.
I would recommend Master Tech Diesel Repair in Boise!
@ thank you
Thanks
Can u install an afc on a boat
yes you can so long as it has a p7100 injection pump
Cool Except the wood chisel abuse. :)
That"s why you buy the cheap one

I’d just buy a new foot. It’s hardened steel you’ll just have a gummy tip on the foot if you weld it
I think it was a waste on that truck with a single inlet intake! You're starving the first and sixth cylinders!!! But, over all I like^__^
Jeeebuz, using a carpenters chisel, shame on you lol
Show us how the Dam afc live works in action? Wtf.
Watch our new video: ruclips.net/video/A5N7bo3GPio/видео.html
Dremmel usage with no protection over delivery valves, I've seen enough wankers
Youre crazy 3/4 is way too big
Not sure I'd buy anything from somebody who dremels with an open intake manifold or grinds with an open pump. Yikes.
14,40 c cups got nips poppin through
