I'm glad I found this video. I've been wanting to buy a 12 valve truck for a while. I'm mechanically inclined and wrench on all my own stuff. But I have no diesel experience. So I'm searching info on what to look for when buying a used truck, common problems, and maintenance that I should be prepared for.

I did mine and my brothers dowel pin .. Mine was ok I just made a tab for it , my brothers the dowel was almost 1/2 way out and it pushed back in with my thumb .. While they were apart the front seal and crank wear sleeve was installed .. I left the rad and antifreeze in when I did them , a little tight for room but not to bad ..

there also 12Vs its the same. They just dont have the P-Pump
