@Power Driven Diesel yeah I thought I wanted to get an old 12v, but after seeing this video it kind of scared the crap out of me. I thought old mechanical stuff was simple and easier to work on. There seems to be a lot more to this engine than an emissions truck.

The fuel bowl heater was designed to prevent wax buildup and clogging in the fuel filter. With proper fuel selection and additives, we've never had filter wax-up/jelling down to -20F. Without additives, our local blend starts to have issues around -10F.

Technically, turning up the power on any engine shortens the lifespan. However, when you're working with a robust 12v Cummins that will last over a million miles, well done beyond the rest of the F800 or any medium or light duty truck, it'll be fine. Yes these modifications will work and won't measurably reduce longevity. Keep in mind Cummins offers this engine platform for heavy duty boat use at 370 HP, so your 190HP or so F800 factory setup is detuned.

Yes they sure do but after selling 1000s and getting complaints on over half we decided to make one that actually will fit with no matter the amount of paint and when there is some damage to the spline.
Just installed the injectors from your PDD 24v 475hp fuel kit. Not sure what went wrong but got it to start up and it runs rough. Rough idle and rough acceleration until you get pretty high in the rpms. I bled the injectors good enough to my thought but could air still be trapped in the system? Friend, receive a cordial greeting from Ecuador. Please I ask for help since I have a Ford F350 truck from the year 82 I want to change its engine, I want to put a cummins like the one that the Dogge Ram from 94 brings. My question is what step of the cone and collar should I put so that it looks fast on the flat ascent and descent but also carries its load without problems I look forward to your prompt response and thank you very much for the attention given to this request.
@@pddofficial the AFC live push connect air fittings. This style of fitting always ends up leaking eventually, any strain on the tube leads to leaks. They're used on air systems on vehicles only because they're cheap, but they're a wear component and always need replaced. Something like a compression fitting doesn't have this problem it's permanent. As long as you don't overtighten it the fitting won't leak, it'll outlive the tube it's connected to. Now I'm not sure how sensitive to a little leakage the AFC is, I'm sure you'd notice it on the gauge and just the dials adjust to suit, but the sound can be pretty annoying and it's an expensive part to be using cheap fittings.
@@Dingleberry1856 If you're going to invest time and energy into auxiliary strain relief, it's easier to just use fittings that by design aren't weak to this failure mode to begin with. Besides, strain just makes the leaking problem worse, the problem still shows up even if you have perfect line runs and strain relief. Look at commercial trucks with air brakes, push connect fittings mean the lines need replaced every few years. it's cheap and easy to just pick better fittings and ensure the lines never need replaced in the first place when there's only a few fittings anyways (as opposed to commercial trucks that have dozens of them).
