I don't think fans really appreciate the talent this band has after all these decades. Sure we all love The Fixx but take a moment and realize these guys are super tight and Cy's vocals are still rock solid. This is without question the top tier and highest level of the active 80's acts on the road. This is no small achievement.
Your analysis is spot on!! Saw these guys Nov. 2023 at the Hard Rock here in Orlando and they ROCK!!! Quality talent on display with all the original members too! It’s easy to see they just love the music.
You have one huge fan here, i even pick up their songs vocally, they are the highest calibre of the 80's, i think they are musically, vocally visually exciting without special effects, just pure creative electricity, I'm 73, listening since 80's, still cannot get enough of them, it's like good classical music, good music period! Terri Leckner, Montreal
My young sons who listen to god awful mumbling hip hop nonsense heard my rock from 60-90’s and couldn’t believe how good it was. Literally shocked. I played them Who’s Next start to finish they were blown away.
I grew up in the hood listening to rap and hip pop, but luckily my uncle pulled me into good music like this. Matter in fact, it kept me wanting to be different then all the other kids. I am glad he steered me right. I now have my 15 and 8 year old listening to this in my car.
I thought the audience was very cool. It was a show that was very well recorded for a radio station. I am glad that show happened. I got to see a cool performance of a few songs I really like.
Some bands keep playing long after their hay day. They don't do it because of the money or fame, they do it because they enjoy the work! And you can easily tell the difference between these guys and a lot of "classic" rockers still out there. Jamie West-Oram's guitar work on some of their early songs was simply amazing. His dynamics were spectacular. Listen to "Outside" for an example...
+danielcwc I agree with you but maybe they dont want to? or maybe the band doesnt allow it? but again i also agree. Id stand up and sing along even if it meant I be the only one
Ciao Fixx, anzi Ragazzi come me. Io vedo, sento bellezza. Love Fixx 💙🎶🌊
@notfiveo I believe even senior folks are still capable of giving resonable response similar to what they did back in the eighties... The Fixx are an 80's band, right?
Saw them circa 1994 at The Ritz in Manhattan. A SUPERB show. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. Cy was spectacular, and from the way he sounds on this video, he hasn't lost it!
I really respect the raw live sound. Somehow this song popped into my head. This just looks like a band and group of friends with great chemistry having fun.
Adam is just a machine back there there on the drums hell all of them same 5 guys for 40 years never giving into trends never changing their sound just sticking to what they do that's the most admirable thing about this band in my opinion that and their stellar live performances.
I saw them at the Tangerine bowl with the Police and Oingo Boingo. It was1983 and tix were 15 bucks. Eric Burdon was supposed to play but he was too drunk. MTV did the show as "Rock Super Bowl XIX.
Wow! You got to see two of my favorite Guitarists and Bands of All Time in one day! Lucky 🍀 You! Andy Summers and Jamie West Oram. Incredible players and I love their sound!
Even after all these years he can still sing like that! The band sounds tight.
This band is Life. ❤❤❤❤❤
Cy Curnin just rules...
Took the words right out of my mouth. Impressive!
Also full head of hair and no greying whatsoever
@@johnpark7972 well that’s easy to remedy with hair dye.
40 freakin' yrs later and STILL got it.

When your Dad's music is better than anything you listen to.
Your Dad knows great tunes!
Than you listen to crappy music, but on the bright side you figured that out.
Your dad has great taste in music and I wish my daughters would have followed my lead on classic rock but unfortunately a no go...
My young sons who listen to god awful mumbling hip hop nonsense heard my rock from 60-90’s and couldn’t believe how good it was. Literally shocked. I played them Who’s Next start to finish they were blown away.
Well put son.
man alive, they still sound PERFECT!
Def on point
Wow. Incredible voice and the overall sound reproduction. Sounds like the record itself!!
Just saw them in Milwaukee last night. Amazing.
*Ben Eller* yeah, they still sound great
High praise from a man who knows! Kudos from an industry professional like Uncle Ben is next level.
The Fixx is the most underrated band of the '80s
Cy still sounds amazing after all these years. Some of his peers may have lost their voice for one reason or another but he's still got it.
Add Dennis DeYoung from STYX fame. Seen him last year, ( he’s 70-71 ) years old, and sounds every bit as good when I seen STYX in the late ‘ 70’s.
@@lastchance7463 Cool, he always sounds so energetic.
All of them still have it. This song live is as tight as the day they recorded it.
i see what you did there
It’s astonishing. He looks and sounds better than he ever has I’m convinced! 😮
Freaking awesome, 30 years later, they still sound very tight!
Saw them in April at House of Blues. Freaking awesome is right! Very professional band who sound amazing live. Can't wait to see them again.
these guys are still cool as shit. they sound really great
They so cool, they're going to be bored as shit in this society.
Damn this sounds amazing. Can't believe Cy can still sing like that. They look great, too. Nice to see the classic lineup intact.
This was my favorite song during my senior year in high school. The whole album is fantastic!
Red Skies at night was my favorite, the whole album was awesome
Me too I wore holes in my album - unfortunately not available on Spotify! 😭
Holy shit! These guys are still INCREDIBLE!!
Yes they are just wonderful!
That was so fantastically good it actually caused the people in the audience to freeze up like complete zombies.
Dead while they yet live lol
So few bands can actually sound fantastic live. These guys are just fantastic. Always have been. Extremely underrated band.
One of my favorite bands from the 1980's. The Fixx has so many great songs beyond the big hits.
30 years and they still sound this crisp. Well done!
Make that 39 and still forking amazing!! 😎👊
The keyboards add so much character ,everything that guy plays trips me out.
WHAT A SOUND A WHAT A VOICE!!!!
I grew up in the hood listening to rap and hip pop, but luckily my uncle pulled me into good music like this. Matter in fact, it kept me wanting to be different then all the other kids. I am glad he steered me right. I now have my 15 and 8 year old listening to this in my car.
They don't get enough credit by the populous for being one of the most prophetic bands ever
And thats fine..jewels are not laid bare😂
The band is awesome! Voice is like a bell. Clear and clean
Nice...that bassline is an incredibly hard one to keep fluid like that.
I always thought it was a fretless but then learning how to play bass, I realized you can get pretty slippery and sort of mimick a fretless.
That bass is the slippery gel that makes this song so awesome. Its tireless
this was waaaay better than I thought it was going to be
there are more years on that stage than in the Cairo Museum, and they still can freaking rock like the best!.....THEY'RE AWESOME!!!
I seen these guys 3 times back in the 80s , and they still sound good 30 years later.
draculascoffin me too they opened for A Flock of Seagulls. Stole the show.
STILL GOOD AF AFTER ALL THESE YEARS ,,,TIMELESS AND FUNKY !!!!!!
Knowing this was exactly 2 days before the song became officially 30 years old, makes it that much more awesome
Great band.. Dead audience... They still sound the same.. Awesome
What do you expect? It's Bing. Lol
What do you do, lift your skirt?
Yeah such a dead audience they need to be thrown out and replaced.
I thought the audience was very cool. It was a show that was very well recorded for a radio station. I am glad that show happened. I got to see a cool performance of a few songs I really like.
@@michaelwayne7887 😄
Luv this song and i luv his hair.
Damn they killed it! Was looking it up and sewn this performance, wasn't disappointed!
How is anyone not up and dancing??
Saw the Fixx in Jacksonville when they were promoting their album Reach the Beach.
I'm very impressed by the Drummer and the rich, deep sound of his snare.
Still listening to this amazing - that guitar
I’m 7 years late but they still sounded great. Really enjoyed this 😎
One of the most under appreciated bands ever.

Wow, hard to believe this song is like 30 yrs old.
It definitely has staying power.
More like 40+
more like 40 yrs old and still kicks ass
The crowd should be standing up and singing along!
+danielcwc I agree with you but maybe they dont want to? or maybe the band doesnt allow it? but again i also agree. Id stand up and sing along even if it meant I be the only one
+danielcwc It's a tiny venue...Maybe 50 people total. And besides, it's invite only for a radio station promo.
I know I would be singing my ass off.. Would of loved to have seen this..
We were told not to because of the video recording.
hell yeah!! i’m dancing & singing along and i ain’t even there!!!
Seen them almost 30 times. Last time was 2018. And still can’t get enough
it's nice to see they are still sounding good
My fave guitar riff. Never gets tired. Funky.
That's scratchin' a guitar right there! Tight bass to
Brilliant !!!!! Vocals perfect!!! Great group!!!
I need to see them live! Love The Fixx
One of my 80's favorites...still have the vinyl...
They get older but the magic remains intact, good for The Fixx.
Sounds great, still remember the video like it was yesterday❣️
2019 and these guys are still amazing! They got me through some interesting times during the college.
Love them❤❤❤❤
I'm so glad they're still performing. Love The Fixx!
Thanks for the posting. Still listening 10-2020.
What a tight band. Great sound mix.
Hope that The Fixx get inducted to The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame someday.
Idk man, that’s a long shot
@@makogearsolid8002 They induct anyone who is willing to get ripped off for some publicity.
They'll be there some day...
New wave, not rock.😅
Im so greatful for my dad being into this kinda music its so good

Brings back great memories.
Wonderfull song, l LOVE 80s
Tight performance, awesome
Dude sounds the same!! I love it
Tremendously good. A pleasure to hear such a cool song (again) in 2023. Better than anything today.
Great vocals and band perfect live performance
His voice is absolutely 100% on point! No studio magic what so ever, exactly how it should be!
Great band
OMG. The audience seems dead! It's the FIXX for Christ sakes! Should be jamming along with them
@notfiveo I believe even senior folks are still capable of giving resonable response similar to what they did back in the eighties... The Fixx are an 80's band, right?
@@mattma96 They're heavily medicated, but in their heads, they're dancing!
These kinds of performances (for radio, in-studio) usually/always have that kind of audience. It's a different vibe.
Saw them circa 1994 at The Ritz in Manhattan. A SUPERB show. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. Cy was spectacular, and from the way he sounds on this video, he hasn't lost it!
his vocals are amazing so crisp and vibrant
They sound great!!!

This group of men called The Fix is the Shit! Luv these Dudes Artistry !!!! ❤
Still a Jam
I really respect the raw live sound. Somehow this song popped into my head. This just looks like a band and group of friends with great chemistry having fun.
Saw them at the Orange Bowl in the early 80's and they are still so dynamic !
Thank-you for all your music. I cherish it.
it's nice to see a band that sounds good live especially after all these years
Love me some The Fixx
Great song, excellent Band, pristine Vocalist and superb Performers!!

Still sounds great. a relic from a bygone wonderful age.
Their still rocking, love it...
I did this song for karaoke last Saturday❤
Excellent composition, riveting performance!
Love the lyrics and vocal work. The whole band does a good job here.
The still sound great. Saw them perform 3 decades ago with THE POLICE at the Orange Bowl.
I saw them at the Tangerine bowl with the Police and Oingo Boingo. It was1983 and tix were 15 bucks. Eric Burdon was supposed to play but he was too drunk. MTV did the show as "Rock Super Bowl XIX.
I was there. Thompson Twins, Berlin too. Killing!!

The Fixx kicks ass!!!
Thank you very much for uploading this great song!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Blown away with the signing. Amazing after 30 years.
If this don't move you musically, you're comatose. If this doesn't move you lyrically, you're dead.
I am so glad they are alive and well...My second album I ever bought was RTB. First one was Big Country, IABC.
Thanks to you your song it helped during my trying time in life luv ❤️
They sound Awesome! Still!
Love the Fixx and the beat is 🔥
