Thematically and characteristically it also makes sense that he’s the one who sings that. Well him or javert because both have their own motivations behind the line. Val Jean singing it doesn’t hold as much weight imo
Absolutely love this new rendition of the song. It's one of the best songs in the show anyway, but having this new version to listen too is brilliant!! The harmonies are flawless and the Queens voices blend so well!! It is a delight to listen too!!
I saw him in Belfast on Tuesday - he was spectacular as Javert. Killian Donnelly was amazing. The whole show was just phenomenal. Bonnie Langford was so good
@@lounolastname4477 yes! I was there on Tuesday too! They were all so good. I loved his Javert, his Stars was amazing and Javert’s final song he was so powerful, he blew me away! Killian was fantastic! I was so surprised by Bonnie and the physicality she brought to the role. I thought the whole cast was wonderful! I haven’t been able to go see it in the West End since 2019 so there were so many performers I hadn’t seen before and it was wonderful to see the ones I already knew. Daniel Koek, who was the army officer who sang out to the barricade boys and told them to surrender, was the first Valjean I ever saw way back in 2013, so it was a nice surprise to see him again in an ensemble role! Glad you had a great time too!
I adore one day more but do you hear the people sing and it's reprise own my heart. The passion and the belief they can change the world makes it the best rallying cry ever.
I saw the original 1985 production in London 🏴🇬🇧 at the Barbican Theatre. It had only been running for a month at this point, and if the critics had had their way then it wouldn't have got much past the opening night 😲😲😲!!! But of course the audiences in the UK thought, "no, I'm going to see it and decide for myself" ..... and here we are nearly 40 years later 🎶 😀😍🤩
My sister and I was there August 28th 2019 🎼🎵🎶🎶🎵 Our reason for travel to London to see this concert was to see and hear Mr Boe as JVJ. A lifetime memory 🎼🎵🎶🎶🎵🙏🙏
This is simply the best. I’ve seen it live about two dozen times and it still touches me each and every time whether in New York, Boston, Dallas or London.
It is playing outdoors on the giant stage of The Muny in St. Louis this week: 17 - 23 June 2024 at 8:15 each night. Full huge cast with a full orchestra.
I always have goose bumps watching Les Miserables. I have seen the musical twice and I want to go again and live this experience.I do not live in England and it is difficult...
Just adore the ending to One Day More, gives me goosebumps every time, but love Les Misérables as a whole, seen it in Cardiff 5 times, yet to see it in the West End, but that's my next mission 😁
I went to see the theatre production at the Sondheim for the first time on the 5th of October with a friend who has seen it 27 times. I am completely hooked.
One Day More is my favourite ever Act 1 finale, but the reprise of DYHTPS in the epilogue is incredibly powerful, and brings so many emotions. It truly is a wonderful musical which I would watch time and time game if only life, logistics and finances would allow ❤. I was so proud to be involved front of house with a 'Schools Edition' in February. The cast were unbelievably talented and we were honoured to have a visit from Earl Carpenter who sang 'Stars' with our Javert. A moment I will never forget, nor the 18 year old lad who he sang with! (For anyone local, the group is CPYT based near Southampton, Hampshire)
Superb cast and performance. Michael Ball is fantastic in everything he does, and his portrayal of Javert is perfect! I could watch this over and over…..Marvellous!
Honestly DYHTPS? Reprise is without a doubt the most emotional song for me. The fact it was written in the context of a war over 200 years ago, it still resonates with me today as I watch the world around me crumble. Totally breathtaking
I wasn't sure which production the video would contain, but my initial reaction was One Day More and this didn't change my mind. Although I saw this production live and Do You Hear the People Sing was excellent and perhaps had more punch than in this recording.
Not bad but the 10th Anniversary Cast just blows this one away. I do like how its more theatrical than either the 10th or 25th Concerts. The 25th version had one thing over any other version of the song. That was when Marius leaves Éponine side to join the Revolution and the look on Samantha Bark's face is completely heart wrenching
LOVE an Enjolras with a bit of a growl and a Marius who looks a little bit confused as to why he’s there! Man didn’t notice a cholera outbreak, it’s fitting
@@user-nz7ci3py3h Hm maybe. I tried to check but can't see any info about that. The title is "Les Misérables: The Staged Concert" and it's from 2019. I'm in the Netherlands and was able to purchase it here a while back so I do know it's not limited to the UK.
Everytime I see a production of this show I get goose bumps and weep uncotrollably at times. I love it!
Me, too!!
Oh same here!
Me three ❤
It never fails to leave me in awe… everytime
Same! My family won't see it with me anymore 😬
Love " Les Miserables" !!!. Was able to see it twice on stage in theater in Philadelphia. Hope to see it again Best musical ever!!!!!.
I like how the Staged Concert had Enjolras also say, "Tomorrow is the judgment day." Since it gives him something to do during the end.
Thematically and characteristically it also makes sense that he’s the one who sings that. Well him or javert because both have their own motivations behind the line. Val Jean singing it doesn’t hold as much weight imo
One Day More, for sure. Also the 25th Anniversary Concert cast was just **chef's kiss**
They're great, really are but no cast will ever match the 10th Anniversary Concert in my opinion.
@@mikeunderwood734totally agree
@@mikeunderwood734100%!
Except for Nick Jonas ... Terrible casting.
@@mikeunderwood734 haha well apart from Lea Solanga obvs who is both the best Fontine (25th) and the best Eponine (10th)
Something about the reprise gets me. Like they all do. I think it's the building volume of it. The growth just, BAM
Les Miz rocks, Sheffield Oct 13th 24. The tears came and my heart nearly burst. A fantastic production. 👏 😮
Went to Sheffield and this was amazing. Michael ball & Alfie Boe were fantastic and that goes to all who performed
Absolutely love this new rendition of the song. It's one of the best songs in the show anyway, but having this new version to listen too is brilliant!! The harmonies are flawless and the Queens voices blend so well!! It is a delight to listen too!!
Les Miserables is the Best musical ever made . I was blessed to see it twice in Philadelphia. Have it on teo dvds . Love it !!!!!. ❤❤❤
One of the best things I've ever seen on Broadway and the 25th anniversary show done from London!
I have seen Les Miserables several times on stage and listened to the sound track in my car over and over. It's beauty always takes my breath away.
I do too,do you get weird looks cos I do
Bradley Jaden’s Enjolras is always amazing! Looking forward to seeing his Javert again on the stadium tour

I just saw it on Saturday in Glasgow and him and killian were amazing 😍😍😍
I was looking for this comment, I thought I was imagining things! His Javert final song was stunning
I was at a production where the crowd comes in behind you and just wails right in the aisles in the first act. Chills.
Oh wow!
Ooh what production was that??
I can't choose a favorite!! Both always make my heart skip a few beats and bring tears to my eyes!!

The original ? So the French one ?
Hard to believe the critics loathed it!
What do critics know? They can't act, can't sing, can't write music. Ignorant bunch who are jealous of those who can. I prefer to make up my own mind.
Lucky you to have experienced it!!🎉

I get goosebumps whenever I see a production of this wonderful show.
I cry so, dang much when I watch this.
So so so much
Definitely One Day More with Alfie Boe and Michael Ball!!!! ❤️
I'm just glad this channel is posting Les Mis content now.
One day more for sure , the power is outstanding
Thoroughly enjoyed this last night in Belfast! ❤
I was at the same show in Belfast on Tuesday evening, with Bradley and Killian - we were right at the front, it was totally amazing
That very last harmony of ‘ONE DAY MOOOOOOORE’ is incredible

This is the best Jean Valjean & "the keeper of the Inn"!!!
I still get chills when I hear "One Day More".
One of the most powerful stories ever narrated. Thanks to Victor Hugo! ❤
Hear this song during this hard time in my hometown 😢 Waiting for tomorrow come ❤

Omg this is overwhelmingly beautiful, unbelievable talent - I have serious goosebumps......
Still gives me chills every time I hear it!!
Thank you, a fair contest, same cast the entire time too for that matter. I vote for do you hear the people sing.

Both are uplifting 👏 As a song, I prefer ‘Do You Hear‘ but as an anthem, I always get goosebumps with ‘One Day More’

Feeling ridiculously happy today, and this tops it ❤🎉
Absolutely fabulous so powerful best ever show.
Such an incredible show, I've seen it multiple times.
Both are great songs, but Do You Hear The People Sing always moves me so deeply. Unquestionably the better of the two.
Ich finde das ist einer der besten Musical!Aus Vienna 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Superb cast and performance. Michael Ball is fantastic in everything he does, and his portrayal of Javert is perfect! I could watch this over and over…..Marvellous!
We deliberately booked a night when Bradley Jaden was Javert and Killian Donnelly was Jean Valjean - far superior performance on Tuesday in Belfast
As my favorite musical of all time, I love every song in this show. Both are wonderful but if I have to choose one I suppose it would be One Day Mere
Incredible Eponine! WOW!
Sorry that I didn't make the cut to be in the ensemble of this wonderful show -- in NJ community theater.
They’re both epic
Ahh...both? Don't make me choose. They are both sublime in their own ways.
Do you hear the people sing always brings me to tears. One day more is more powerful in voices, but the emotion in DYHTPS is like a bomb.
As always fabulous 🎉
This is an absolute masterpiece

One Day More. 25th Anniversary. Colm is the best!!!!❤
Such a great musical!
This is good but the 10 and 25 just blow you away
10 is my all-time favorite!! I can listen to it 24/7!
One day more every day!! 🫶🏻♥️
I saw the movie starring Russell Crow. He can really sing! I enjoyed it.
I was surprised that he could sing. He is a wonderful actor. The Gladiator was his best.😊

One day more , it has all the main characters involved, including the company, fantastic!
Love this song and one day more when colm sings it best
One day more almost every time.
Do you hear the people sing. It was the turning point in the revolution and evokes hope, pride and conviction.
Cant pick so love Les Mis❤
Beautiful ❤❤❤
More Day More is so powerful!
Do you hear is an anthem for hope. One day more summaries life.
Enjolras (the man with the hair bun) Bradley Jaden is so Charismatic. Can't take your eyes off of him.
He is Javert in the current arena tour - I saw him in Belfast on Tuesday - he was amazing
I wasn't sure which production the video would contain, but my initial reaction was One Day More and this didn't change my mind. Although I saw this production live and Do You Hear the People Sing was excellent and perhaps had more punch than in this recording.
Both are great piece of music, but as an anthem I think "Do You Hear the People Sing" is better.
It’s good rouser whereas One Day More is good Act 1 Finale since it brings together the individual stories and sets up Act 2 nicely

Alfie boe is amazing!!!!
Where are these Recordings are from?
Fantastic !
One day more
Garden of the lord is underrated as a piece in the stacked soundtrack of les mis icl. Same for “you at the barricades listen to this”
Ahh the Finale, count that as part of the epilogue
Another song I sob through.
