Absolutely incredible athlete, however I feel like everyone forgets about the Greco Roman heavyweight Aleksandr Karelin. In his 13 or so years of competing internationally he went 887-2 won 3 out of 4 golds at the Olympics and his final loss was 0-1was due to a technical rule change from a few months before, the first point he’d given up in 6 YEARS. If that isn’t the most dominant athlete of all time then I don’t know what is.

On the last few lines of the video:
In an interview from 2019, Meng Suping said she'd retire sooner. Still, she was worried that, prior to Li Wenwen's international debut, team China would lose the edge in the women's superheavy category so she insisted on competing for one more year. So, on the one hand, Meng probably wouldn't be a factor for Li to lift heavier because Meng treated Li as her successor. On the other hand, Tatianna probably can force Li to lift the heaviest she can.

We shouldn't exaggerate his feats because he - is - the greatest sumo wrestler ever
Just by simple math, he has the most tournaments wins by a single rikishi at 45, next is Taiho at 32. Every year has 6 tournaments

Dominance means something different to me. It’s about competition and longevity, also, at least in weightlifting. Otherwise, lifters with few/one off performances like Lovchev or Aramnau would be mentioned. Although obviously impressive, Wen hasn’t matched the lifts of Kashirina. And she hasn’t been through the Olympic cycles of say a Lasha, never mind a Dimas. Side by side, Lasha is clearly more dominant, having set the all time historical record. Having lesser competition is not the greatest yardstick of performance imo.
