Lalayan from Armenia.Not Columbia...😅😅😅
9:03 My man Lasha with the 860kg snatch, putting Thanos to shame.
@@KeithGreenshields you must be fun at parties
@@KeithGreenshields lmfao
@@KeithGreenshields /r/woosh
Only 860 kg?🤣
@@KeithGreenshields special kind of stupid
Lasha no footing 860kg @ 9:03 is just pure insanity.
damm snatching a whole anchor
Lasha "Now, who da fc#k is this Eddie Hall?"
I knew I wasn’t the only one who noticed lol
I went .25 speed and it still looked like magic raised it. Dumbfounded.
Three fantastic athletes from two brotherly small, Christian countries - Armenia and Georgia!
Peep that 860kg snatch at 9:04
😂
Last time I was this early was my wedding night.
Lasha heading to the 2k total, 860 snatch already achieved.👀
Looking forward to seeing these two compete against each other again. But I could tell Lasha was in a lot of pain from his knees.
9:04 860kg💪
Such great story telling, Seb. High quality content man.
Thank you!
The 2000 Sydney Olympics +105kg session was by far the strongest battle ever, when looking at the whole competition. 5 lifters totaled 460kg or more. No other superheavy session has been that competitive.
Yeah that is true. That competition made 260kg seem routine.
Rezazadeh was the Alpha of group...hes easy cleaning schocked all challengers.
Lasha is great in two exercises .
The chances are low for a 500 total, but if anyone will do it, it will be Lasha.
bruh, he could total 500+ with his snatch alone. Just look at how smooth this 800 kg looks 9:04
What do you mean the chances are low? He's almost there
@@kaliningradtoczechrepublic8162 😂
@@Lee-ic2yn He was almost there but at this point lashas a 470 maybe 480 weightlifter
@@LilPimpOfficial I spoke too soon, didn't see the Injiry before I commented
Honestly though if he gets his leg sorted he should just go for it, imo all those 1kg jumps on records were wasting time
Thank you weightlifting house for all that you guys do. The commentary and inside videos are priceless
Hey weightlifting house. Can you make a video on the evolution of each lifts wrs from the 1800's to Lasha. Maybe even covering some other lifts that used to be on Olympic Weightlifting like the one arm snatch or the clean and press. Should be a great series!
500kg was eyed by Antonio way back in 1987 when he had done 222.5 + 270 in training, and even heaved 227.5 up on straight arms only to lose it behind. Do you remember the World Weightlifting Magazine pre-1988 Olympic Games article? "Krastev's next goal: 500kgs!"
Wow! 860kg snatch in the training hall! 😮
very sad to see Lasha injure his knee. Hoping for a full recovery!
Well you certainly know how to hype up weight lifting I'll tell you that. Had my face glued to the video till the last second.
Looking at this, you'd think Lasha is old and washed, but he's actually 29 years old. Gor is 28. There's plenty of action left in these guys. Also, the voiceover repeats itself towards the end, still a great video tho.
I keep saying it's a great day for being a fan of the sport. Lasha is a once in a generation guy for sure but now we have someone who has the ability to push him. It's the same as watching Michael Jordan back in the day. Some of us got to witness the greatest NBA player ever. We're very fortunate.
I love your channel, thank you!
love the story telling. I'm dont watch olympic lifting but this was entertaining
860 snatch is pretty crazy
I feel blessed to be able to watch these great athletes compete. I kind of feel for Lalayan despite his achievement he's always been in the shadow of Lasha. If nothing changes, I'm coming to Paris 2024 to see it live!
im a powerlifter but i love watching weightlifting house!
Brilliant video!
Uff this was intense!!! Great battle video
No matter who is second, or third, important who is the best 😎 Don,t pray for his injuries 😜 Lasha is the best ever!!!!!!!🇬🇪❣✊
This is getting very exciting!!
What do they EAT in those 2 neighboring (small) countries to be 1st to 3rd strongest in the world? :p
That 860 kg snatch was pretty impressive to say the least.
What strong men !! Amazing !!
Insane vid🔥
I like the contrast of Lasha in the front and the old lady in the back lifting 6:31 😅
This will be the best battle
These guys are snatching my best deadlifts lol
Fantastic as always
Glad you think so!
Could someone please explain how weight affects lifting capabilities (or point me to an explanation)? It is very confusing to me. I would understand muscle weight, but how is the 100kg fat bag that Lasha (or any other Heavy WL) is carrying on his belly giving him a competitive edge? Or inversely, if he, by some miracle, went to 7% fat tomorrow without muscle loss, would he be able to lift the same? Thank you.
Lalayan is only 23 he still have way to go❤❤❤🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲
these videos are amazing.
Thank you!
9:05 bro just broke every record known to man with an 860kg snatch
I don’t think we will ever see a 500kg total. Unfortunately, lasha just won’t be in that top shape again he will get a great total in Paris but not close to 500
GOD tier narration
Could you imagine doing "easy power cleans" at 245 kilos? Mad.
True Media, thanks
Never seen 860kg move up so fast. Or at all.
No disrespect but there is no “battle” as long as Lasha is not seriously injured, and Lasha proved my words last time they faced, as in prematurely proved me right!
Nobody in the planet ever lifted weight like lasha, and i doubt anybody will do in near future
9:04 impressive lift at 860 kg.
It would've been soooo cool if Lasha missed his last c&j to let Gor finally get one over Lasha. Idk if we will ever get to see that now
Lets not forget that Ilya was C&jing pretty much the same weights at 105. #NeverForgetIlya246
IIya’s record was 437 which is very far from 460 and above that these guys regularly lifting. Please do not forget that he disqualified from two olympics gold medals.
@@andranikhakobyan5648yeah but ilya was also a 105 whereas these guys are waaaay heavier. Also if you want to talk about getting disqualified... he got popped for PEDs and every single one of these lifters is 100% guaranteed also using. They just havent been caught for whatever reason. Your argument is completely invalid
Lasha has admitted to a heart condition.
Superb in snatch but not much more than 1988 in c&j.
Many many super heavy lifters retired early before full potential and now Lasha with muscle, joint injuries and heart condition will he retire.
It's not 860kg at 9:03. That is 180kg. it's an editing error obviously. It's surprising that almost no one in the comment section knows
1 kg > 1 lbs.. 💀
860 kg would be close to 1900 lbs..!
His trainer said he was back in 220+ and 260+? This good.
@@HIMCULES I corrected, thanks.
You gotta admit, Lalayan's jerks are much snappier than Lasha's.
What kind of shoes do they use?
860 lb would already be insane enough, but 860 kg?! Dude could lift the Earth if he just grip the shaft. 😱🌍
Lasha 270 kg no arremesso. Melhor levantamento de sempre
Lalayan beating Lasha to the 500kg would be fucking bonkers. And it would be a real shame if it happened because of an injury.
EDIT: Damn Lalayan's jerk is FAST. It just *popped* up with that 230.
It would be very similar to when Carl Lewis was beaten by Mike Powell's new world record, after being for years the only person close to Beamon's world long jump record.
Yes Lasha kind of dilly dallyed his way to the 488kg and then this injury.🤦
860 kg snatch at rpe 3 is insane
Wow, what was this kind of injury in April/2022?
I'm not a doctor but from someone who has had 4 knee surgeries possibly a meniscal issue since he didn't take a long time off. But looking at it there is bruising north of the patella so maybe a quadricep muscle/tendon issue. Tears of the major ligaments/tendons or quadriceps muscle would require an extended time away for surgery and rehab. Something like an ACL tear for example is probably a year even for someone like Lasha. Seb said he irritated the other knee due to compensating for the bad one so I would guess maybe some form of knee tendonitis which hurts like hell by the way. Again just a guess off anecdotal experience.
Love the coverage, and commentary. However, as impressive as these men are, how can they be labeled as the strangest ever? Clearly Naim would win by the sinclair formula.
I would hate to be that stage every time those weights crash into the floor.
Think how good lalyan would be if he didn't have wear that wooly vest
Lasha might become the “Eddie Hall” of Olympic Weightlifting in being the first ever to achieve the big 500.
Giants
I always wondered if lasha could stop the helicopter overhead
little editing error at 12:02
Injuries are cruel
Can he return?
Algo rhythm
seems that Gor deserved way more time in this video, he ended up second and Lalayan only third.
Lasha looks really good in training. Give him another 6month and he will be back to the og form.
The King is dead? Long live the King?
We shall see.
4:09 bro just casually lifts 135?kg above his head
oh my god, i am going to buy some tickets, i live in armenia
Good decision.👍
860kg snatch??
Eddie Hall : is my 500kg Deadlift a joke to you ?
Yeah … but how much can they bench ?
Lasha Nummer 1🏋🏻👌🏻😎🇬🇪🐺🏔
It seems like the 500 goal is now not on the cards, unfortunately
Great job with the video and the writing and all that, but I personally just don’t see the narrative, Lasha was at the weakest he’s been in over 6 years and he still won Europes and Worlds last year. There is no rivalry as far as I’m concerned
Not telling Lasha what to do , but he might want to cut some weight off that belly. That can’t be easy on the joints. Plus the weights
اللهم صل وسلم على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين وسلم تسليما كثيرا
these superheavyweights are like grizzlies.
860kg snatch 😅
7
No one can beat a healthy Lasha.
"four slabs of beef each side"
Yey.
!!!😊
9:04 that 179kg not 860kg
9:03 860kg snatch LOL
but NEVERTHELESS! Even clearly INJURED and WEAK version of Lasha is BETTER than his best competition! imagine if he recovers!
Will Lalayan cause troubles to Lasha, or will Lasha retreat to his mountain, unreachable for any human or beast (480+ kg total)...
490+, actually
Best weightlifters Bulgarian
No
😂😂
Armenian. 36 medals during the last European championships, no other country got more than 22.
9:04 😂😂 Superman cannot lift this much weight
860 kg snatch! Haters go touch grass
Don't be silly guys. We all know that 860 kg snatch was just a typo... The only one who could snatch that is obviously Grizzly
What ? Really ? Somebody other than Lasha doing 500 ? Why you creating clickbait ?
Lasha will be The strongest weightlifter to ever live even if he started declining because of injuries
For the algo
