  • Defense expert Dr. Marie Russell said that the pattern and parallel lines seen on the arms of victim John O'Keefe led her to believe that he was injured by an animal, "possibly a large dog," and not by a car as prosecutors alleged.

PLEASE tell them to add his hand in those photos of John's arm! They seem to want us to believe that the injuries were in a small area that could have come from his arm being scratched by the broken tail-light. IF they would show the WHOLE arm, people could see that his hand was also very bruised and had possible teeth marks.

We had a similar experience with a shepherd mix. Great dog for years and then just attacked my son out of the blue. (My son was 16 at the time and obviously big enough to hold his ground, thankfully.) Anyway, I had the dog removed from the house as I was tending to my son at the hospital. Come to find out the poor dog had developed a brain tumor unbeknownst to us. The vet gave him a sedative and we went to say goodbye to him. We had him euthanized because it was the humane thing to do. Even if money weren't a problem, the vet said the tumor was inoperable and he would quickly get more aggressive and have seizures. It sucked but we had 6 good years with him. 😔

To prevent bias material from being presented? I guess I didn’t know the witness themselves could be silenced, especially when it very much pertains to the type of injury this woman is depicting.. too damning to the prosecution I guess?

I can 100% attest these are dog bites or nips as I have the exact same markings on my arms from my German Shepard puppy when he would play fight with me. I have elongated marks and irregular circular marks now in the form of white scars. My puppy was only 10 weeks old at the time and I learned quick enough that playing with him with bare arms was the wrong thing to do. My scars do not go around my entire lower arms (on the soft inside) rather they remained mainly isolated to the top and side of my arms. I remember people at work thought I had been self mutilating until I told them I had a new puppy and he was too rough playing with me. I switched play to a hard toy that he could tug on and chew however the scars remain to this day.
