Been seeing very good reviews so far on these. Was considering EV's but the more I read about the EON 600 series the more I'm liking them. I'm glad you showed the size comparison as I was deciding between 12" or 15". Wish they were a bit smaller like a standard 12" but seems light enough at least. Great vid.
nice review and finally someone who actually told the speakers venue capacity i have a small place about a max of 150 ppl and was wondering should i go for the 15s,guess i dont need those 15s since i have subs to acompany the 12s thx a lot
I just purchased these for mains with a piano/vocal duo. They are amazing! I have used QSCs and the difference is pretty subtle. Not enough to spend $800 on the same size speaker.
Chuck I mean yeah I wanted speakers within a budget so I went for the 615’s and I think it’s definitely not the same but I’ve heard them vs qsc’s with the bass, but I went to check the bass for the eons and the guitar center I was at had a metal sheet behind the subs and I was like wth it sounded horrible. Really depends on what route I go but I will say vs. my cheap harbinger 12’s I had they blow them out of the water as far as clarity/bass not peircing highs.
I like the lit up bar. My problem is that is in the wrong spot. In my opinion I would place that bar just UNDER THE LETTERS of the JBL logo, within the little square logo. . That's the place this lite should be! Take note JBL engineers!
Do you think there's much difference from the 12th to the 15th I'm thinking about getting the 12.. other than size I know people say Biggers louder but by how much. Your opinion matters to me thanks
I have the eon208 ....nice but ........will the eon612 work with that PA system or is it a separate bigger system ? Eon208 is 300 watt system and the eon612 is 1000 watt ! Seems copacetic to me
Excellent Review! I've been looking for something lightweight & portable but with decent sound quality. That's a combination that's Very Hard to Find. Normally I avoid the lightweight stuff because it usually entails cheap sounding 1980s boombox style crap. These speakers actually Hold Up. Every speaker/monitor I own is at least 60 lbs or more - they all have casters but you Still gotta Lift 'em up to get 'em In & Out of the Truck. And the Fact that you're able to carry them Both at the Same Time... Hell Yeah - These sound like what I've been lookin' for!! Especially with the on-board EQ. I definitely agree the LED in front should've been the JBL logo, that would have looked Much More professional... instead it's just a pathetic mini bar at the bottom of the Speaker.
I just went and checked these out today and they do sound great. I was actually shocked, because I saw the reviews on the 615 and wasn't impressed. But side by side, these are actually better sounding than the 615s. Not quite as good as the QSC k12. But at half the price, wow!
Just got two JBL EON610s. The signal light is not coming on either of the channels. Also is there suppose to be a button for Mic/Line?? Because I don’t have one on either of my speakers and neither one of them is picking anything up on either of the channels.
Chuckey 2015 hey chuckey- you can only accomplish left and right sound with two speakers, not with one. So to answer your question, channel 1 and 2 are both mono.
I just unboxed some jbl eon 615s and I suppose my xlr line doesnt have a strong enough signal. I have an unpowered 3.5mm to xlr converter I was hoping to just test the speakers with. I have not been able to get a terribly loud sound out of them yet, nor I have been able to daisy chain the two.. My signal must not be strong enough for both of them to work?
Adapters are common causes for audio issues. Run a direct XLR cable and try it out. Also, check to make sure your mixer's gain's settings are correct, as well as in your software if you're using any.
Yo, Trev. Doing Mitzvah's and West Indian parties. Debating on 2 ZLX-12P's or 2 EON615's. Which would you recommend. Currently working with 2 Mackie Thump15's.
had them for 2 years are great absolutely clear sound very very good !!!

I love the eon series!!!! It's with in my budget!!!!!
I am a beginner DJ and just got a pair for $400 slightly used...was that a good or bad deal.
I gonna be using 2 JBL eon615 & 1 JBL eon618s for that gig in doing next month. Venue is 150 so sound should be covered!

Jammin Dave yes sir !

I have the Eon 612s and they fill a venue of 300 -350 w/ 12" behringer power subs
the light in front blinks orange or red if your speaker is clipping

hi there do you perhaps know if speaker not working is a fuse blown out or know where is located
if the speaker is not turning on, then it could be a fuse. I'm not sure exactly where its located, as I've never serviced an EON before.

there is a button. you need something narrow to push into the hole
The channel 1 and 2 are equivalent to speaker left and right stereo sound? Or you have to use channel 1 only for mono and channel 2 for mono?
Chuckey 2015 hey chuckey- you can only accomplish left and right sound with two speakers, not with one. So to answer your question, channel 1 and 2 are both mono.
@@ExcellenceSoundKrew Thank you.
Y ur sound mono m8?
no sound and I bought 2 of these from guitar center, very hard to get them working properly, prob a waste of my money.

For testing, I will not use any software with a gain function. I'm on the hunt for a mixer with multiple xlr outputs for under $100
Get 6 jbl in powred speakers and 4 qsc 50/50a and 6 18 in spekaer and a equalizer to balance it out and a mixed and laptop for music

+Jonathan R The ZLX is not a big upgrade over the Mackie Thumps. Go with the Eons
+ExcellenceSoundKrew Alright, thanks bro.
Why is your audio only on 1 channel?
I was just sitting 🪑 here thinking 🤔 the same ...
Por favor la explicacion que sea tambien en español, gracias
