The 2000s had many awesome champions. Here I rank them using some combo of reg.season records, playoff records, roster makeup, and finals opponent (Kind of).
How would you rank them? - Спорт

I agree with the rank that you made.
Not gonna lie
The Cavs could have won in 2017 it’s just that the Warriors wanted it more
1. '01 Lakers
2-10. Don't matter
LONG LIVE WEED
I like when you make these type of videos where you leave your bias out of it and talk about record and stats making the video more objective than subjective
The moment you realize every finals in the 2000s either Kobe Shaq and/or Tim Duncan is in it
@@infinite1875 Wade ?
Not 2006

That 2003 Duncan is so underrated, actually Duncan's Career is underrated.
He’s widely considered the best power forward of all time. Lol
@@mydogsnameislucy768 should be considered top 3 minimum all time tbh
📠
Arguably a Top 5 Peak 🏀
I wouldn't call Duncan's career underrated because he is still considered the best pf to ever play by most people, but overlooked sometimes imo
The 2009 Lakers were definitely underrated.
I’ve always said that it’s because it was the Magic. If it was the Cavs, they would get more of their deserved respect.
I agree they were really well rounded that year and that finals was closer than people remember a bunch of close games and then the Magic just quit in game 5 which made the series feel like a runaway
@@imhotepnixon well they didn’t ‘quit’ but it started to show that the lakers were the better team
So underrated, kobe dominated the regular season and playoffs.
First all defense and first all nba, while being second for the MVP and personally beloved that Kobe deserved the MVP that year, kobe had one less win than lebron by far a harder conference.
And although had the better team there not tier apart Infact if take pau you can argue that the cavs were better.
And lebron's stats were better but only because Kobe clearly sacrificed his stats for the team was forcing on the ring.
And the fact that he still nearly avarged 27 6 and 6 while having 49 efficiency.
I will pick Kobe.
Yet with everything I listed nobody talks about it
Is that the year they west 8th seed had 50+ wins?
Since your bringing the 2000s series back, bring back the GOAT playoff series!!!!!!
yesssss
yes pls i am waiting for the part 2 of bulls vs celtics
I think he won't, due to copyright issues

Finally Dom, decade ranking series is back i thought that this series is over, but thanks for reviving it and btw make a video about 2010s decade

@@gudrunbennetrothfuss2131 damn took the words right out of my mouth lol
So basically the 01 Lakers and the rest lmao
Why do you think they were so much better than the 08 Celtics for example?
@@Max-kv8uw just the dominance of Shaq and Kobe with a great supporting cast and their amazing run in the playoffs puts them at the top for me
@@Max-kv8uw Because you have Prime Shaq and Prime Kobe whereas everybody was old and past their prime for the 08 Celtics
literally nobody was old or past their prime in 08
@@southernbohemian They were all in their thirties and most definitely not in their primes LOL.
The 2005 finals was mad underrated. Honestly a straight slugfest.
It's sad because ALOT of people don't remember D-Wade in 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2010... they only remember Wade as Bron's sidekick... its so sad man
Lebron destroyed his career, the 2 titles did not really help with that...he was so insane back than
If Lebron didn't choke in 2011, Wade would be remembered more because he would've gotten FMVP. People are legit saying Harden is better than Wade when the nigga has no rings, and if he does, it's because he joined KD's and Kyrie's bitchass to form another superteam
@@cottonmather8146 Harden prime < Wade prime, people just forget so fast...
@@homotopf9461 They try to discredit Wade by bringing Harden's "advanced stats" and "always in the MVP race." Niggas care too much about irrelevant personal achievements and not rings. And Harden's ring will mean as much as Kevin Durant's Warrior rings: absolutely nothing.
? He literally is brought up always as the positive protagonist of the myth that Lebron needed to be taught how to win, hyped up again because of the Lebron dynamics, sanctified in the 2011 Finals (everything like the holding to the first option conflicting role, the not positive 3pt spacing, the bad fit etc slways get glossed over), and, aside the rigging comments/part, the majority always praises and talks about his 2006, even trampling over 2006 SHAQUILLE O'NEAL, Pat Riley coaching and the value and clutch of both GP and Alonzo.
The 2009 season and the constant "Jordanesque" phrase about the 2006 Finals (that btw I only hear used for him, literally nobody else, and with all time Final performances or something lol).
Ayy, and we back with the decade series! LETS GO
As a Spurs fan maybe swap 05 and 07 around.. I remember 05 more clearly than I do the 07 season.. 05 was more of a challenge throughout the playoffs and finals IMO. Especially the finals that was pure grit and grind. Other than that great video
Love this series
Intro was fire as always 🔥
The og intro's last sequence should've been kept. Where kobe is standing with ball in his left hand...
So hyped to see this. Finally getting some decade ratings.

Love your videos and would love to see you do a top 10 big 3 from the 2010s or top 10 duos, Top 10 organizations from 2010s, and a 2020/2021 mvp race video because so many player are doing well
We need more videos like this fr.
The little addition of the 2000’s electronics was a nice touch. Had the slim version of the PS2 back in the day. NBA Street Vol.2 &3 for days on end.

Thankful this is back. Hopefully we get the Finals MVP and ROTY award lists.
The pistons still haven’t recovered from Robert horry hitting that shot back in 05
He finally continued the series. After a year

Are you going to do The 1990s?
I'm not asking for other decades
Bring back the GOAT playoff series
“2005 Spurs were by far and away the best team in the league that year”
The Pistons literally took them to 7 games and were the defending champions. I’d agree the Spurs were the best but definitely not WAY better than the Pistons
Major disrespect to the pistons. They literally beat shaq and kobe's lakers (heavy favorites in 2004) and proved their worth with a return finals appearance (7 games, would have won if not for Robert Horry) and 6 straight eastern conference finals
I’m so happy
Dom is carrying RUclips on his back for me
One thing overlooked about that 2001 Lakers squad is Derek Fisher. He had been hurt ALL season, but when he came back, he played like an all star and I swear the Lakers only lost like 1 game the rest of the season and playoffs. Also they had a lot of veterans in Horace Grant, Robert Horry, Rick Fox, Ron Harper, and Brian Shaw.
Duncan Tony and Manu were built different man 🔥
We dont talk about Tim Duncan in 2003. This convo needs to happen more
Just like another of these lists I've seen, the '04 Pistons are too low. Remember, the clearly worse '05 Pistons came within a quarter of beating the '05 Spurs, so I have no idea how the '04 Pistons aren't at least above that team. Whatever, they'll always be underrated. And if you want to look at regular season stats for them, you have to remember that they became a different team after the Sheed trade.
I agree 100%
Can we get more NBA 2000s? Really enjoy it
As a Miami Heat fan....I agree
03 Spurs are the team that got me into basketball. Still a Spurs fan to this day.
The golden age of the NBA. We were so lucky to watch that era. There were superstars all over the place.
Do this series for ever decade
Personally I have the 04 Pistons 1. From a talent standpoint they were outmatched, and the Lakers were coming off the 3 peat. This is also my bias for small market teams winning it all. Due to them not being able to sign top talents.
1)2001 Lakers
2)2009 Lakers
3)2005 Spurs
4)2008 Celtics
5)2007 Spurs
6)2002 Lakers
7)2000 Lakers
8)2004 Pistons
9)2003 Spurs
10)2006 Heat
The 01 lakers are easily a top 3 playoff team of all time, with the 17 warriors, and the 83 sixers
The ‘Fo Fo Fo’ Sixers are so underrated
@@user-fx3od5mp8q 2 All NBA 1st team. players, makes sense though considering nobody knows about Mo Cheeks and their best player is one of the most underrated players of all time on his own.

Pistons should be #1 IMO. No championship like it.
He’s not ranking the uniqueness. He’s ranking the strength of each team as a whole
The 06 Heat were my team at the time. Cant believe they got it done
Imagine not being subbed to dom in 2021
Out here banking on the Clayton hype.
Noti gang
Dom’s ranking criteria has changed a little bit. Does this mean we could get a updated version or is there a slightly changed opinion on the 2010 nba champs?
I know NBA TV did NB00's already but I know this is better for sure
Gotta be the 08 Celtics or the 01 Lakers, no other right answers
Before even finishing the video someone said the Houston rockets 💀
Do this with old school eras too
crazy to think how much Wade carried the 2006 Heat in the Finals
hey dom it wasn't just Stoudamire who got suspended so did Boris diaw so both big men were out.
Who else thought he posted the same video twice?😂
i fully expect this list to be just the 9 best teams at random.... then the '01 Lakers
08 celtics were really good too.
As a Mavs fan, that #10 made me happy af
Isn’t that a bad thing? Like imagine losing to the worst championship team of the decade.
@@Abbad1579 I've been in Dallas my whole life. Everyone I've met here feels that 06 was rigged with bs officiating. Being older I can see it a bit more maturely but im still bitter lol

Early squad😎😎😎
Rank the runner ups in the 2000s
LeBron is so likeable nice
I'd argue the 2010 Lakers were slightly better than the 2009 Lakers, mainly because of Ron Artest. Kobe gets so much credit that the talent both teams had gets overlooked. Lamar Odom was one of the best players to never make an all star team, and he was most the versatile player in the NBA for a decade. Ron Artest averaged 17 a game in Houston, sometimes as a second and third option while being a top defender. Derek Fisher was a solid two way player, hit big shots throughout the playoffs, and didn't get enough credit for his defense on Ray Allen in 2010. An injured Bynum was still an above average center. When healthy, he was a top 3 center. Pau Gasol was better than his numbers showed. His assist numbers were impressive despite far less touches than Kobe. His rebounding and rim protection was a huge difference maker throughout the playoffs. Pau was capable of scoring more. In 2009, he shot 60% in the finals and arguably deserved more touches.
Bout time
6:45 holy shiiii Steve Nash got clapped on that play
Can Please do the top 10 pg Sg sf Pf And C
For me, it's tough to have the Celtics at the second spot when they had TWO series go to 7 games, not to even mention they were in the first and second round. Don't think any other team had more than one. 7 game series.
Same dude. They literally went to 7 games with the 38 win 8 seed Hawks!!! A 66 win team! And game 7 was close up until the 4th quarter. Cant seriously have you as the 2nd best team of the decade when you have 3 superstars and go to 7 with a 38 win team.
Its highway robbery to have them 5 spots against the '00 Lakers, and they only went to 1 game 7
The 08 Celtics big three just got together that season and they could’ve been still trying to develop their chemistry like other super teams. The Celtics are at the number 2 spot because they were a legit super team. Eventually injuries happened and they were getting older and it ruined their chances of a three peat
2004 Pistons and everyone else.
dom talking about the 2000s? does that mean... nah it can't be
2001 Lakers are easily #1
