    Your videos are always inspiring. I do mostly computer-related projects but I've got a bunch of rigid foam laying around from some older large-scale space modeling projects (like the space ship from the old "My Favorite Martian" TV show) and now I'm thinking of doing some sculpting for a change. Thank you. :)

    ive never seen any clay added to your sculpture's before. (although iv'e also never seen all 300 of you video's) Are you using an oil based clay here?
    (as obviously water based clay soon shrinks & cracks whenever it's applied to any other material)
    on a completely differant subject you might get a superhero commission, as there's such a current trend for this kind of thing. I know of a company based in Australia, but do work for a German company (which shall remain anonymous) who do hero figure's for film premiere's, but only to order of course, theyve done- INCREDIBLE HULK, IRON MAN, BAT MAN and SUPERMAN very good but occasionally the resemblance varies i.e- IRON MAN being much more basic than seen in the film

    Nice work! Is this normal earth clay that needs keep watering to keep it wet? Or some other artificial clay?

    • @AdenHynesSculptureStudios
      @AdenHynesSculptureStudios  8 месяцев назад

      Regular clay, need to keep moist. We cover with a damp towel overnight, wrap in plastic to keep the moisture. It only needs to stay in a good enough state for the mould making. Then it's wetted again and back in the bag for another project!

  • @Poppy_love59
    @Poppy_love59 2 года назад

    May I ask, When removing the rubber mold from the clay covered sculpture, you don't apparently use any form of releasing agent such as an oil or anything. Is there a reason for that ?

    • @AdenHynesSculptureStudios
      @AdenHynesSculptureStudios  2 года назад +1

      There isn't really much need for one. The clay doesn't adhere too much to the rubber, and pulls out quite easily, and any clay left in the mould can simply be washed out, as the clay is water based.

    Phenomenal work.
    Leave it to the client to...well...ruin is a strong word, but appropriate. I know a good portion of the people in your shop absolutely hated those beautiful cats leaving the shop with the unfinished appearance. I thought those final colors were primer at first.
    Nonetheless, great job other piece as a whole.

    I am wondering if you have ever tried Pal Tiya? I had never heard of it before this video ruclips.net/video/TQvYEkXjIHY/видео.html . My thought is that for a one off sculpt where you are leaving the poly inside it could be useful. It seems like it can be sculpted and would not need to be foiled before fibreglassing., and unlike fibreglass it may not need the same amount of sanding. . Depending on price and durability it might save a lot of man hours on some projects.

    I definitely would’ve gone with a realistic cheetah look it would’ve been far more effective for the office. But some people just are not artistic and they don’t have the final vision. You did a very good job on that Cheetah and The Rock, I just hate the pink and purple colors on the cats, but that’s just me.
