Man, William Bay is truly on to something...but it's your project, and I'm along for the ride (so to speak). I am keeping my '05 Kawi Vulcan 2000 as stock as possible, just for grins (and because aftermarket parts are a BEEEE-YACH to get!).
I have a 77 kz750. I bought the same speedo from your link on here. Do you have pictures of the wiring? That would be so helpful! Thanks!
to the haters in comments .. IF you got such a big problem with him making this bike into a scrambler ect .. then YOU go buy the bikes and restore them instead of sitting on ya bum doing nothing .. ah that felt good to get off my chest :D .. only thing i would change about the bike is put on a front brace to keep front rigid
Check out excile cycle for custom clean switches

Hi Taylor, could you kindly explain how (or if) you prime the Honda carbs after the float bowls have been drained of fuel? Do you just keep turning the engine over on the starter, or somehow prime with fuel first? Many thanks for any advice on this as I'm having endless problems firing up after working on the carbs! Thanks, Anthony
Turning the fuel back on should fill the bowls without the engine running.
I think the headlight brackets are way to long with the speedo u have installed, i would put one that would place the headlight closer
Are you cutting that 70's backend off the Camaro as well?
Are you gonna keep crying about things that don't affect you? Troll...
I have a huge question: how do you do to sell your bikes? haha I meant I've built 5 cafe racer or brats so far, but I've only sold one because I spent so much time working on my bikes it just tear my heart appart to sell them lol. I have a bond to them and can't sell them lol
Get some sort of 'steady cam' mount, mate, the hand held is almost unwatchable...
Hi there, love the builds they give lots of inspiration. Just building a kz650 1978 from scratch and was wondering what battery you would recommend. Need it small enough to fit under the seat and connecting to a motogadget m unit.
Thanks keep up the good work 👏
I’m still searching for a battery for my 79 KZ750 twin.... any help on what to go with? Don’t wanna break the bank though on an antigravity or anything. Sealed? Or OEM? What did you use on yours?
Wondering if anyone here can help me out. I have a 76 KZ750B and upgraded to a lithium ricks motorsports reg/rec for my anti gravity battery. The issue is I'm not sure where the red/white wire coming off the reg/rec is supposed to go. If any one can let me know i'd greatly appreciate it.
Just wanna ask you if I buy some of shirts and stickers. Would you mind if I gave them as prizes in a motorcycle show? Me and my brother in law is in the beginning stages of putting one together in Jackson Alabama. It will be for Jackson's annual Fall Festival next year. Looking for cool prizes to give. But wanted to make sure first. Always looking forward to your videos. Your channel is awesome. Thank you
I think the hate is just the reaction to taking on such a clean bike to do the chop. I don't think anyone would have objections to a neglected barn find, but a specimen that looks like it did when it rolled off the assembly line could be kept stock for historical value. With so many people wanting to do a Cafe/Scrambler/Brat, etc. it'll be nice to have those clean ones left (like a form of conservation), and save the modding for the beaters that have seen their share of abuse.
I see clean CB750s, not modded going for $5,000+ in California. People still like the original look.
Based on the comments from last video, I think people were just frustrated that you didn't take that into consideration.
No one wants you to stop building Cafes/Brats, etc. (I certainly don't, I enjoy your videos).
But when you find a clean bike that's 40+ years old, what you do to it matters more and more now.
Thanks for the videos. I've been watching for a few months now. I appreciate the effort involved in putting them out.
That's a good idea. You can buy one and do it.
This! They are only original once. Harder to keep them stock in my opinion.
I get what your saying Dude, but imagine your old and still want to run with the big boys ,that's what it's all about .people love to see and talk about what you've achieved and challenged themselves to do the same .and soon not being able to get some parts for old bike becomes frustrating.
They would hate to see what I did to my Norton... Lol
I love the guy and i love his work. But this time his decision is making me cringe. The only way you would find one of this vintage much more pristine, would be if a dealer stumbled on a new old stock under the stairs in his warehouse that got lost in his inventory 4+ decades ago. I love mods and builds, but this one fits in the TLC and rehab column in my book. To each his own.
I have a Kawasaki Kz650 Cafe racer build I'm doing right now and I used those cheap ebay headlight brackets that you used on your Honda build and I really liked them not only because I spent $15 on them but I wanted to use "bar end blinkers" on the front and back of my bike so they would be very low profile and the headlight bracket had those holes in them and it was perfect for mounting the blinkers to it.
Cutting down on the quick panning shots would make for less seasickness, apart from that, liking the builds.
fantastic work as always even if the idea of chopping a clean classic makes me cringe a bit
Hey if you're interested in selling the headlight and the headlight holders I'd be willing to buy
Hey bro loving the scrambler series I was wondering if you are interested in doing a mini/moped bike for your next one, maybe a Honda ct50, or ct70 even a ct110 would be sick doing it up like the deus sea Sider. Keep the vids up bro🤟🏻
Your bikes always turn out nice. I personally think you do whatever you want to the bikes. Your bike and your work so make it the way you want it. I love the restored bikes as well but to me unless it's some rare high dollar bike what difference would it actually make to chop it and make it the way you want.
Love the work so far. Don't worry about what others say. Do it the way you want. Great video and the bike is awesome
👍 You've got it going on Taylor! Great channel, always interesting content, thanks for all your efforts, you are a class act my friend.
The hoop will be better looking. Stock is boring.
Cognito Moto has an exact version of those handlebar controls you could use instead of refurbishing your old ones
What did you paint the forks with?
I think in Austria/Europe these bikes run under the name Z750b as the acronym KZ has "a bit of a history" here. Great videos, love the work you do!
Thanks!
Taylor, I'm looking for the relay that you use with your LED turn signals on your Amazon site but it looks like the product has been removed. Can you tell me what the specs for the relay is please? Thanks.
amzn.to/2NGVR2p This guy should do the trick.
Always chrome. Always.
Hi, that's turning very nice, forks look better in black. Sorry to disturb you with an electric question.. lol Im working on a cx500 and planing to change the temp sensor that is for a gauge to one for a light. Would the light have a + cable and the original that comes from sensor as - cable. ?? is the original a - for the gauge or not ? thanks a lot . Gus
Well a lot of people will frown on this, but cut it! It would be different if it was a pristine classic Honda or Kawasaki z1 or something on that order, but it's a old kz750 twin. It would be worth more custom them original.
!!!
Chop it!!!
Amazing work mate, thoughts on changing out that headlight? CB headlights look good as is but that thing is raaaank! Maybe chuck a CB headlight on if you have one around!
Front end is looking WAY more clean than stock. Honestly why would you want a cookie cuter bike anyways? Great video!
Of all these bikes I really like this bike ,any way you can tell us how it handles ,top speed etc,I own a xs 650 this seems very similar as far as a twin etc thanks
Beautiful frame hoop. It’s really coming along. Looks freakin good.
I’ve a hot brown wire in my headlight. Any ideas wat it is?
Thought of using switches off of modern bikes?
What master cylinder did you use?
Great video I love the bike builds you do man
Am wondering what bars you are using?
Diggin this Krazy KayZee build. But I like every thing you build. I'm doing a 66 TR6SR (with a
Bonneville head) 4" stretch, 2.5" drop, narrow sportster front end, 21" front, 16" rear tire and I'm going to check out the wiring video you did for that
bike- did you retain positive ground?
Sounds awesome. No, I converted it to negative ground.
Revival has good swirch options
Good progress, Taylor. 🏍👍🏍
Welcome back!
I’m also working on a 70’s KZ scrambler...thanks for the videos! Where do u obtain this seat hoop?!
