- In this video, we make a one-off wooden buck to send to Tuffside for our custom seat. We also weld in our new frame hoop.
Let me know what color seat I should go with.

So glad ur back on the Kz 750!
I grew up in that era and for some reason green was the most popular color for bike's. I have a 78 kz1000 that is the same color. That's why I like this build. I would go black seat and stitching, but that's just my opinion. Great video.
Sick video again!!! Glad your holding to your guns and not listening to the traditional haters.
The scrambler style will look sick on this bike!!
Its snowing in Sweden... Now Im only hoping for a great winter for some snowmobile riding👌🏻👌🏻
Bike's going to look mean. Can't wait to see those tires on it. Um i do like the tan seats but if you go with black go with white stitching. Cheers!
Really enjoy your channel, but was hoping you were going to do a seat with a bit more shape.
"Well now that all the kawasaki fans are gone..."
If you still have the original turn signals in would love to buy them.
Distressed black leather would look legit
Hilarious sawzall grab. Nice work Bruv! I would buy more merch if there was more 100% cotton. Just to let you know. Love the channel.
Hello I have order some handlebars. Can you give the details (measurements) on the ones you have on kz750 please
Just added them to my Amazon link but here is a direct one. amzn.to/2KAhr7o
Any idea if this seat company kept the "blueprint" to make this seat?
A scrambler aint a scrambler without a black engine😉 otherwise looks good
I only clicked a video faster than this one other time.
I’m about the start a ‘76 KZ750 build inspired a lot by this build!
Quick question of the frame hoop since the link is not longer valid. Did you use a 235mm hoop? The widest I can find is 235mm yet when I measure the frame I get 245mm.
Hey, just wanted to connect with you because I have a 1979 KZ750 twin and am right in the middle of stripping it down. I’ve only built a 71 cb350 cafe racer and have never worked with KZs. I’m an industrial designer by trade and live Colorado. I’d love to see if your willing to chat about some wisdom of the details on working on these bikes ? I’m on Fb and instagram as well as Bobster Cafe. Or my name. :) bike looks amazing btw. Still working out the final design of mine, but I’m thinking scrambler/fisherman bike. :)
Great Video.. Black Seat will look Awesome..
You should invest in a little shirt mic, would make it easier to hear you when you're not behind the camera
Nice work my friend! Excited to see this build finished! Keep it up buddy.
You just ruined a $5,500 motorcycle, that's what they sell for here in the UK. Grrrrrrrrrrrrŕ
Or black with grey stitching. But need some kind of stitching a different color from the black seat. By like I said it is a different build a different type of bike and you want it to be as unique as possible
I suggest if your sending out for a custom seat. Then go the distance and have the colors be custom. Suggest a two tone seat of some kind. Brown and light beige with green stitching?
You can’t make Salsa without chopping up some veggies. 😏🍿
i just uploaded my kz 750 build check my seat mods out. :-)
Yes. Please go with Black seat. Brown definitely does NOT match with uggghhhgreen!
A black seat with just stitching going across right to left would look good on a scrambler.
I said this on another video, not sure if you saw it. But the key hole on the gas tank lid isn't key specific, any key will work. And I'm sure you thought about it, but gotta remember, by bending the seat down, you effectively make it shorter
I really do hope that some of the Kawasaki purists cried as they watched you lock and load that battery pack 😉😂
Black with white stitching would look nice. Tying things together with the white emblems.
Yep you just f#$ked that bike. just unsubed
Doesn't look like you're Left enough room for foam and leather for tank clearance!
White with black stitching/ piping
I'm hoping to move to Texas in the near future and I'm inspired by that weather in November! However I'm also watching your current videos from July and the mood seems more ... sweaty than this video.
green stitching sounds risky
It's looking good!!! I'll have to send you pictures of my 77 KZ650 C1 I am keeping now!! Guy couldn't make the purchase so I decided she's mine for a while longer. I'd go ahead and buy the tube bender, and start selling some of your own hoops, I think that would be a perfect little item to add to your online store!
Great video - thanks for regular updates! Just a quick question if I can about pod filters (no, net jet sizing!). I notice you are a fan of the foam types, but after going through some of your previous videos, I haven't seen you mention oiling them. Do you do that off-cam or is it a decision not to bother? It seems a real pain to do. Cheers!
Your only doing each build once mite as well make it as unique as possible. And if it’s not anymore expensive to go with different colors and looks you might as well.......
They have metal or plastic covers of any color or shape to cover seat / tank space I don’t think it looks good at all with just air/ space there. Sorry bro just my opinion
There seems to be a yellow ish strip on tank within the paint strips so instead of grey stitching and bits and pieces. Make them match that yellowish green on the tank!!!!! Brah 😀
Yes black and blacked out rims. Bro it’s a different build altogether than your Honda’s. Thanks Mike
strip the paint and try painting. I’m selfishly wanting to see that because I plan to do that soon on mine. I watched all the Eastwood painting videos I can handle but would love to see someone new trying it.
Always dig you video's. Green with a cream color seat...? Just saying
oh no, no no please
I'd go up with the seat where it meets the tank not under. Think it's a nicer line side on. That said, really enjoy your channel.
Have you thought about going with a grey colored seat? Maybe a matching green stitching?
Then you can get grey bullet blinkers etc etc. a lot of bits and pieces to be different from the bike norm.......
Interested on your hoodie. But can you make your design on back side?
Triumph motovlogs
I will work on that. I need to get an enclosed helmet and figure out the audio. That bike is so loud hopefully I can figure out something that works.
Classic Octane why the need for commentary? Raw on-board isn’t done enough, imo.
I want that Bonne!
Are you going to try pods ?? I’m beat with the jetting
!!!!
Looks good man and I would love another hoodie the original I got is getting kinda ratty
I just ended up stripping and shaping my old seat and pan it worked out great.
I think you should change the whole color scheme....best wishes
Hey again Taylor
Listen I have a “problem”with my street twin, and seeing as you seem pretty knowledgeable about it all, I thought I’d ask...
I find my bike, not feeling like it used to. It use to have a strong coughing acceleration where I had a good like bopbopbop sound when I was accelerating in lower rpm. Now, I feel like it’s more like a steady stream when I accelerate, like sometimes it feels, like I could be in high rpm pretty quickly in 2nd and 3rd, I even found myself at the end of the throttle without the power I should be expected to have... it’s hard to explain by text (even more in English), even when I try to explain to the garage they don’t seem to pay me no mind... they take it for a ride and say it seems fine, but they didn’t have the before/after effect I’ve had...
I tell myself it might be that the bike used to be new and now it’s fallen into what it’s supposed to be... it’s at 4000km
I’ve played around with the clutch lever settings (1/2/3/4) and cable tightening, it does change things, but the effect doesn’t go away
I know there are more settings I haven’t looked into, like the clutch cable down by the foot, or maybe it actually comes from the accelerator
Dunno
Thanks to you Taylor
Or anyone who could help
Adrien
It's probably a mixture of wear over the riding you've done. wear of the clutch, the throttle, the engine, etc. That's why for combustion engines there is a "Break in" period. Especially with only 4000km, it's probably just smoothed itself out. But if you feel a distinct lack of power, of course there could actually be a problem, like running it all that time with insufficient oil level and the metal is shearing itself or 1000 different problems like it.
Great episode, love the "arming of the saw",lol, ride safe.
Always looking forward to your videos! Another awesome one!
Blackout the motor and exhaust on next project!
Just do another brown seat, keep the theme going.
One Kawasaki fan still here!
Very helpful for me, Taylor. 🏍👍🏍
hey man! big fan! I want to know where you sell your bikes? I would be interested in taking one off your hands finished or not!
The last few have gone to subscribers. I’m ready to sell the barn to brat cb550. Email me at classicoctane@gmail.com if you’re interested.
beautiful bike! Black suede seat
Where do you buy tires?
Thats looking pretty solid! How are you liking those Eastwood welders? Thinking about picking up their 175
I have been happy with it. Can't beat it for the price.
@@ClassicOctane Good stuff, thanks! I have been debating on pulling the trigger on it.
Nice job!
Hell yeah!
Rad.
What handlebars are those?
amzn.to/2KhkqRW . Just some universal ones off Amazon.
Great! Thanks. I have had a hard time deciding on the bars for my 82' kz750 scrambler project. Yours look great so I think that is what I will go with.
Hey Taylor, great vids as always. I'll love for you to actually show the making process instead of cutting off camera, I know you did previous videos but it's always nice to see the handy work and techniques.
Yes definitely black with lime green stitching. Definitely
you should do the seat in a green leather!
Good work man
