    Here I am again back at this video…trying to really utilize the mixer of the rc-600 because this is my only mixer live. I’ve been literally running this thing dry. I’ve just now eq’d my vocals for the first time using the rc-600. Game changer! Now just here to ask a question that if I keep my master out knob set to “on” it will still do what I want, but I can just stereo unlink it from the sub mixes and those won’t be affected anymore by the master knob right? Ugh sorry for the lengthy comment😂

    You can route the RC-600 to your daw through the usb connector in the RC 600 directly to computer. No need for audio interface.

      Hi there Walt, thanks so much. I am enjoying sharing the workings of the RC, it’s an interesting music making tool. It’s very well thought out and the designers at Boss obviously spent time thinking of it’s possibilities.

    Is there no way to have reverb on the microphone without using up one of your four input effects? I am fine with the reverb being on both the guitar and the voice but when I switch to my second pedal board for guitar the reverb obviously disappears. I don't want to always have a reverb sitting on all four banks just so that I can use Reverb on the microphone. Reverb should be available on the microphone in the same way that it is available on the track, as a mixer that you can turn on and off independently, just like it is on a nap

    Where do you run the Main output knob on the RC600.
    Trying to work out my gain staging of my drum kit, guitar and bass guitar. Challenging.

    • @LRCDetroit
      @LRCDetroit  11 месяцев назад

      Good question. Mine is always 1/3 of the way up. I try to leave the mixer outputs at the same value of 100, or unity gain when making loops. You can adjust individual loop volumes within a preset but trying to stay at unity gain beforehand helps maintain consistency.

    I just got this pedal today. It may be explained in the video, but…
    Is there a way I can hear my real time playing only come out of a particular output. I figured out how to route my bass loops to the bass amp and guitar loops out the guitar amp. But ya, can I also only hear my real-time playing through their respective amp?

      @@dancassidy7471 thanks Dan...yes, Laura and I have done a couple gigs as a duo with the 600. It does take practice to get good at hitting the right loop on time etc but is a great tool for performance. I used it with the band too when we played continuous sets (no breaks) so the drummer could take a break. The loops sound huge through a nice PA as well. It certainly would be fun to incorporate into the full band!

    Is there a way to just run a reverb on your vocal globally? Or do you have to set it for every memory?

    • @LRCDetroit
      @LRCDetroit  Год назад +1

      Hi Christine- YES, there is a global reverb...and it sounds great. Also, you can set a reverb for a microphone/instrument/line input each memory as well. If you program a memory that you like, WRITE the same memory to multiple locations...fairly painless.

    • @thechristinedemeo

      @@LRCDetroit I see, so you still basically have to go in to every memory and set reverb on the vocal mic input? I was hoping for something less tedious. I guess I’ll just have to do this on all of mine. Thanks

      Hi Andrew-thank you! That’s a good question. Not sure of the answer but I’ll experiment. Off the top of my head I’ll say no because there’s a bit of signal on each side. Might be able to get around it by panning though.

    Problem: when I separate the microphone the input affects disappear. As long as the microphone is coming out of the main output it has the output effect but as soon as I send it out through a sub output the input effects disappear. Anyone knows why this is happening?

    Fantastic, you've done it, thank you very much, because in my ear the sound with the amplifier is superior (I've seen an Orange cab behind you, but I don't know what head you use).
    These are the videos that really serve, without bragging about anything and going directly to the point, so that we can get an idea of the tremendous possibilities of the Rc and also the exact degree of its difficulty.
    I don't know if you used one or two mics for the amp, I like to use two because I have an open cab, although Oranges, if I remember correctly, is closed.
    The reverb sounds very good and the only thing that remains for me as a doubt is that in the mixer the Vu meters do not know if they mark the saturation as well as in any sound card or not.
    You know that with digital the limit normally are between -12 and -8 dB.

    • @LRCDetroit
      @LRCDetroit  2 года назад

      Hi Emilio, thank you. The amplifier I’m using is an Orange Tremlord 30, a combo with 1x12 and open back. I used one sm57 to mic the amp in front. Yes, the RC is very flexible and powerful with its routing and internal mixer. Balancing the various inputs and outputs is easy. I am playing my first gig with it this week so we’ll see if I am brave enough to use the internal mixer or a traditional mixer 😂. I’m playing on a small patio outdoors so will also run guitar direct into the RC, no guitar amp…easy!

    • @emiliosujar7197
      @emiliosujar7197 2 года назад

      @@LRCDetroit Thanks for answering, I love the sound of the Orange amps, and it's not like Mesa Boogie where you have to be an engineer to equalize, on the contrary they are so simple that it's practically impossible to get a bad sound out of them.
      I hope, not rather I am sure, that you will leave the level very high there, in that patio where you are going to play.
      Surely you have already prepared some magnificent presets for the guitar.
      The only thing that I keep wondering is how to know if you are clipping or not when you play without the help of another mixer.
      In the videos that are on the internet we can often hear people saturating with the pedal.

    • @LRCDetroit
      @LRCDetroit  2 года назад

      @@emiliosujar7197 yes I’ve been playing through my PA system for the past couple days and notice that a little compression on the mic, guitar and loops helps keep the tones working together in volume when switching from song to song. I haven’t heard any clipping from the output, even when the meters are obviously at the top of their range. Faders for the mixer would be a great thing to have, especially so one doesn’t have to constantly bend over to adjust the knobs.

      I'm glad of what you tell me and I'm sure you were phenomenal, the faders on the mixer seem like the RC 300 had them (although I haven't had any Rc) and the compressor thing doesn't surprise me, although it's necessary in my opinion enough skill to handle them.

      Hi Mike- it's pretty easy to make a mistake with the assigns. Double check them. I used an assign to bank through A-D and was having trouble remembering which bank was on or off...especially when performing, this could be troublesome. Also, both the mic inputs and instrument inputs have a LINK function that can be set. It will definitely change the stereo image in headphones when switching a mono input. Check the manual and parameter guide for the stereo link option...it's fairly easy to find under MENU. Hope that helps!
