@@simonw1313 No, you misunderstand, an *assault* is a legal term, the definition of which is:
Assault refers to the wrongful act of causing someone to reasonably fear imminent harm. This means that the fear must be something a reasonable person would foresee as threatening to them.
Assault doesn't require a physical attack at all, that's *battery* which is the act of causing unlawful physical harm.
Someone being threatening and getting up in your face alongside 2 other goons totally counts as assault per the legal definition.

As someone who has been mugged before, I can 100% feel Colie’s fear and anger, especially with Cook being much larger than him. I also believe that Cook targeted him due to his smaller size, not knowing he was armed and instead assuming that he wouldn’t retaliate. And as dark as it is, the footage of the incident is quite satisfying. Cook found a victim that wasn’t gonna put up with his harassing behavior and he was clearly shocked about it. I approached him and we talked about stuff. Two large guys approached us and started to make weird comments. I though that they knew my friend and they were busting his balls. Then one of them punched me in the head and I fell down. With me on the ground they started beating my friend. I was in complete shock and when I regained my vision, I run from there. My friend was not so lucky and got seriously beaten up. I am not proud of running away and leaving my friend behind, but at that moment I genuinely thought that they were going to kill me. Yes, delivery driver's are on high alert to watch out for violent situations. You never know when the next customer might be dangerous, or you could be mugged or worse. Most people don't think it's a dangerous job, but it can be. That's one reason I always tip very generously. Plus, they're using their own car, paying for gas, and making way less than minimum wage, usually. People think the delivery fee IS the tip, but that money goes straight into the establishments pocket. One of my friends delivers pizza and he's got some weird stories.

that case in Ohio with the white kid is interesting because he appears to pull up on these black kids (who already have records) and starts shooting them with this gel gun BUT that doesn't make sense to me at all why you would pull up on three older black kids (adults) and just do that...I mean there must be more context because you would only do that if you had a death wish. and well that wish came true, but the self defense part of it is the issue because afaik you are only acting in self defense so long as you have a demonstrable reason to believe your life is actively being threatened. like that cop who shoots that woman who stole the alcohol when she was driving straight towards him. but the black kids clearly decide they are not in imminent danger at some point (if they ever did) and then they proceed to beat the kid to death. I mean his spine was broken and he was lying face up on the ground, and that was only enough to get assault charges. I mean, with the YT prank my most generous take is that "it was just a prank" and if they didn't get what they deserved at least the verdict hopefully deters pranks in the future. for the other case my most generous take is that the white kid definitely should not have acted up like that but it wasn't self defense when they stomped him to death and the only implications of the verdict are that we need to return to a segregated society.

That was probably a misinformed/stupid jury. They just took the fact he discharged a firearm literally and found him guilty for it. That being said he could have just brandished instead of shooting straight away.

@@mattsmith1126no you cannot this isn’t a fucking movie. Brandishing your weapon that close is extremely stupid and that’s why it isn’t taught.

if you pull a gun that close you have to shoot right away, or else risk the chance of having the weapon taken from you.@@jackwilson5542
