As a Phillies fan...I regret two major misses. Tommy and Mike Piazza, both Philly guys and never coached or played here. If Piazza played in Phila he'd be more popular than Schmitty. Both HOF guys but man did Piazza kill the Phils. Tommy was a gem. He loved the Dodgers. I miss him and the baseball men of his era. RIP Tommy.

Great analogy about the rope pulling.
I once had a plant manager casually address complaints about my leadership/people skills.
I told him that not everyone was pulling in the same direction, because they were not looking to do anything but the absolute minimum, at best.
Amazing how underlings go behind a supervisors back and their concerns are addressed, yet anytime I had brought up my concerns, they were so readily dismissed.
Fuck that place and damn near everyone I ever worked with!
All the responsibilities that I had, but no authority or backing by upper management.

Look at the Domincana guy dissing HOF Tommy Lasorda like he was nothing!!! Being in a Dodger Locker Room in the old days Tommy would have turned around and said, take this for instance, he thinks it's all about him........Dude that wasn't cool.......but you'll never understand!!

They paid this clown to do motivational speaking. His most famous speech was his motivation of Tom Neidenfeur who proceeded to give up the game winning home run to Jack Clark in the ‘85 playoffs. Was Lasorda to blame? Vin Scully was reading his lips and telling us what Lasorda was saying. With the game on the line, he wanted Neidenfeur to pitch to Clark, and he stood there “motivating” his pitcher' asking, “How bad do you want him?” Over and over, until he was screaming it at him. You could see Neidenfeur start to hang his head; being publicly berated because Lasorda didn’t think he was showing enough aggression. Orel Hershiser said Lasorda had to call him Bulldog because he didn’t look tough enough, in Lasorda’s eyes, and Hershiser could do a bulldog face that calmed him down. He micromanaged veteran pitchers like Don Sutton until they grew to hate him. Sutton explained, “He’d stand there and say, ‘we want to get this guy out!’ - and I’d say ‘no shit? I wanted to help his batting average!”

Really?! As this video will be watched more and more, low and friggin behold, is your unnecessary hatred for an awesome man, who btw, is most likely on his death bed as I type. Why don't you channel your insults towards something else... maybe take Tommy's advice and get a job you actually like! 🙄 PS: the majority of us would rather you delete your comment.
