I wasn't blown away by this resort. The beach/pool area there had limited umbrellas/chairs. That is the first time that's happened to me at a resort, and it kinda sucks. We wound up taking an expensive cab to Horseshoe Bay Beach which is spectacular. I will say that swimming in the Grotto cave at the end of the day is very refreshing. Also, the meals at Grotto were really, really expensive. Make sure you walk down the street to the Swizzle for a meal or two to keep costs down.
My husband and I have been to Grotto Bay 3 times (the first being our honeymoon), and we HIGHLY recommend this amazing and reasonable resort. We have so many happy memories there and truly look forward to returning again sometime. The video host, June, is a gem and made all of our visits wonderful (and God bless her, she ACTUALLY remembered us each time that we returned!)
We have visited Grotto Bay several times. Great times with good food. We get a meal plan and explore Bermuda between the excellent breakfast smorgasbord and the evening meal. Keep coming back to see June Ann with all her help and the comfortable room with a view. Bus pass which includes the ferries is a super deal with a bus stop right out front and buses every 15 minutes. Go you will enjoy it.
