Nice run through. I'm sticking with my Mini 2. It hits above its weight in the photo and video department and I don't fly it in a way that needs obstacle avoidance. I'd like vertical shooting (I used it quite a bit on my old Mavic Pro as I prefer vertical shots for RAW pano stitches) and tracking would be fun now and again but neither of these is worth the upgrade cost (to me). Of course, if my Mini 2 throws a motor and drops into the sea, I'll be clicking the buy button on a Mini 4 Pro without a second thought!
@@Matanumi using my mini 2 mostly for photos but I'd be inclined to do more video with a flat video profile if it had that option which is why I'd be considering upgrading

I have both. The big difference for me is the confidence in transmission signal. You have to address the differences between the USA and Europe on this, as we have a reduced transmission range. I still enjoy, and use, the Mini 2 but sometimes the transmission is unpredictable and not just dependant upon range. I used the Mini 4 for the first time last week whilst on holiday in Scotland and, after some initial trepidation based on using the Mini 2, I became confident that transmission would not be a problem. In addition the flashing lights on the legs made it much easier keep in sight in very grey conditions. Is the camera better? A little, but not not what I'd call a professional camera, especially for still images, but that's the compromise between weight and sensor size. You still need good lighting to get decent image quality. I shoot in Raw format but if you're expecting the same image quality as a M43 or full frame sensor then dream on. D-Log M is very handy, as is 10 bit. Using DaVinci Resolve I use a DCTL to convert the Log footage to Arri Alexa LogC and then to DaVinci Wide Gamut which allows me to mix and match different Log formats. Moving from the Mini 2 with the RC-N1 to the Mini 4 with the RC2 was a revelation. Being able to put the drone in the air within minutes, rather than trying to plug the phone in and boot up the app, is a game changer. Is 360 degree OA important? I've had my Mini 2 for 2 years and have never crashed it (touch wood), and I treat the OA on the Mini 4 as if it isn't there. There is a danger of becoming reliant on the tech to replace common sense. To conclude. Am I glad I bought the Mini 4? It's a close decision. If you're a photographer then I would say to save up and go for the Mavic 3 Classic or better as the sensor size increase will give a significant increase in image quality. Social media and B-Roll video? The Mini 4 offers a lot of functionality in an easy to carry package and out performs the Mini 2 in most areas. Oh, and one thing I almost forgot. The Mini 4 is a lot quieter than the Mini 2 which always sounded a bit angry to me. The Mini 4 utilises larger props which probably contributes to the lower frequency.

Great video
Nice video, but I think it is unfair not to mention the huge price difference between the two.
From look and dimensions, mini 2 is the best, look futuristic and long last
Heck yeah it's worth the upgrade because I just did!
Def worth the upgrade if you use the features.
@@FlytPath The tracking feature(s) and way points feature are really innovative for my use case and I'm sure I'll be using them on a regular basis. But first, I need a lot of practice, coming from the Mini 2 I'm amazed at all the great new features of the Mini 4 Pro.
Hallo, I went from DJI Mavic Mini 1 to the DJI Mini 4, after waiting for ages... and now I am sitting with my DJI Action 2 I have an action 1 (as well) what struck me is that the 1 over 2 over 3 over 4 have a great value..
Thanks for sharing
I Did The Upgrade And IT Was Worth it i can Tell you !!!!!
Tracking may just make the upgrade a must for me.
It’s pretty awesome
Was super happy with the mini 2 , bought used for 450 flown it for a year and just sold it for the same price as I mostly flew fob for fun instead of videos making , waiting for the depretiatio. curve to hit the avata lol.
But I’m glad I got out of it just before the mini 4 came out , now many people that follow my same buying philosophy will be looking into mini 3 and mini 3 pro
Mini 4pro is cool, but I'll stick to my Mini 2 for now 😊
But i winder if they will Make a Mini4 like how they made a Mini3 n Mini 3pro 🤔
I have the original Mavic Mini. How much better is the 4 Pro?
Day and night
Mini 4 has always on RID, the Mini 2 has no RID.
sure? why mini 4 is C0 ,i thougt rid only for c1 and higher
I see minimal difference in range
i would say. if your on a budget buy the mini 2 and if you need to upgarde just sell it people still want the mini 2 so its not so hard to.
Mini2 is more than enough for me, no mmatter what and how good OA, it will not live long. Buy some old one for fun.
if DJI made a drone space ship in the far future, that’s like Tesla x10 smart, (hopefully safe) in the air and we ain’t got to pilot it, just choose a location and we going! ROFL
Video only upgrade besides side sensors photo ability exact same sensor etc. Mini3 has same quadbaer quadbayer 48mp over sensor same as 4 and it absolutely is better than just standard 12mp setting.
I have the mini 2, but can't justify spending another thousand, even for the many improvements on the mini 4
Yup. Mini 4 is a big upgrade, if u need it.
I like how Dji does not outdate there drones
I'm waiting for the DJI Mini 13½S Air Pro, by then, maybe it will no longer have Geo fencing.
Until then I'll stick with my Autel drones.
nice
My main issue is the new licensing for GEO location wherever you fly with the mini 4 pro. What is the deal with that nonsense??
dji upgrades move so fast
Proud Mini 2 fly more combo since new. and I've been saying when the mini 5 drops maybe I'll upgrade. I paid 600$ that was a deal the prices are crazy so I'll save my pennies
It is not just a major upgrade, its a humongous one.
I am broke af, so i am keeping my mini 2 :) but if i had to choose, i d buy the air 3.
Can I please buy mini 2 from you please
