Blizzcon 2013 was a invitational. You can't say that the elite of Hearthstone was there. Just the famous streamers and personalities.
Why does everyone keep hating on Krip's intros? If you don't like it...don't watch the channel. I, for one, enjoy his intro and insight/intro into all his vids. Day9 does the same. Do you ever see ppl hating on Day9? No. Cos no1 hates on Day9. So have respect for Krip as well.
May I only watch a part of the video? Is there a rule which forces me to watch the whole video? He gets his view counter one up anyways therefore it's a win-win situation.

This does not prove anything. If you are dumb enough to make a shit deck with minimal synergy and bad cards, then of course you will lose. Just having a few legends can really change the game in your favor if your opponent has none.

Andrés Guerra Yes lets mention the one OP deck that the entire community hates to prove a point. Name 2-3 more decks that don't require legendary and can get to legendary.
Andrés Guerra The community hates it means it's the exception, as in abusing the flaws of the game. what "basic" paladin deck? what paladin deck doesn't use tirion lol. What priest deck doesn't use legendary. You say "some", never any specific deck. Not combo , not chinese, not control. Mill druid CANT get to legend unless you're one of the few pros who can get to legend w/ basically any deck. I've tested it various time and with an aggro meta, it's just suicide to play mill anything. Even against oil rogue or freeze mage, by turn 3-4 they'd already know your deck. I have nothing against legendary, but I can understand newplayer's frustrations. You need to have a fair amount of cards(most rare and some epic) to build a decent deck that can climb to rank 3-5. For new players, arena is a waste of money. They're forced to play ranked against scums who farm wins at rank 20. Btw, idk where you get the math for 3000 G from wins/month. say you play constructed, you'd need 9000 wins(sounds dumb already?). Say you have 50% win rate, you'd need 18000 games, each game averaging 10 minutes, that's 180000 minutes = 3000 hours = 300 hr/day.
Andrés Guerra Lol abuse the flaws of the game as in lack of viable cards that speed up late game. Only known cards are emperor and nourish, both can only be played way into the mid game, and by then it's too late.
a deck that only uses basic cards and gets into legend. Sounds like a deck not even Kolento can use to get to legend. Let's face it for pros like trump, even with switching between VIABLE decks based on meta(& even resorting to patron, which we know is OP), getting to legend is a grind. i don't care about bots, as in if it proves anything.
And no mill druid cannot get to legend lol. It does use volcanic lumberer, in case u didn't know, comboing with starfall/poison seed. It cannot deal w/ aggressive decks lol. It has absolutely no minion, except keeper and other higher cost minions. You definitely don't want to play oracle or grove tender against aggro, especially on turn 3, obv because then they'd know you're a mill druid. Mill druid is only ok against noob face hunters. Btw, you don't sound like you've ever gotten to legend(just saying). You seem to not understand the mechanics of the decks.
About the gold calculation, obviously I didn't read carefully. Nevertheless, 60 matches a day is not viable lol. That's roughly 15 hours STRAIGHT OF PLAYING. Even streamers don't play that much, and it's THEIR JOB. You'd have to have no life to do that. A good estimate for a new player is at least 1 year for him to have decent cards to play constructed. That is if the guy is patient enough to keep playing.

Kripp grunts as he thrusts his donger into Hafu. After an hour of donger push ups it's clear that Hafu's taco shell is much too stretched out to contain any of the Kripp's meat. Eventually Kripp gets bored of Hafu's used snatch and leaves to play Hearthstone.

hearthstone is kind of pay to win. getting epics and legendaries takes an absurd amount of dust that takes forever to come buy via saving it up. making decks like these doesn't prove your point. not every epic/legendary are good, and those with the good ones (sylvanas, dr boom, rag, etc) will typically win the game against someone without those cards
It is if you really want to look at it that way but the proper way to look at it imo is by asking yourself is yugioh pay to win or pay to play? sure you can play for free in hearthstone but if you want to be competitive and min max your deck you need to put money into it like any other tcg (it's close enough to tcg with the dust and enchanting alright! lol)
Dan Bc i'd rather have a pay to play honestly. for people that play hearthstone without putting any money into it its frustrating as you will often lose against those who are lucky with draws or spent $$$ on packs. so yes, its "free to play", but if you wanna get anywhere you need to put in some money.
i used to play magic, so i've played card games like yugioh, and the ones where you are requried to put in money are funner imo because everyone is one more of a level playing field in terms of cards at your disposal
Sylvanas and Rag are easy to deal with once you become familiar with their tactical quirks (although some decks struggle more than others, based more on strategic composition than dust value) and Dr. Boom is just a War Golem with flair. Most classes have some very powerful removal at low rarities, use that wisely and couple it with efficient minions and careful turns. You'll beat more high value decks than you might think.
The Message's Movies not my point. there is a reason nobody plays war golem, because that extra flair is what wins games in most cases. the fact that you have to play wiser just to play around 1 card (like sylvanas) kinda speaks for itself. if both players have equal skill, the one with better cards typically wins.
I would agree if Hunter and Zoo weren't most popular and successful decks on ladder. Also they require almost no dust (only few wings of Naxx)
i dont know why people are screaming pay2win about hearthstone. it is a fucking card game you need cards to play. at least this card game gives you a chance to play without paying

Kripp,p2w doesent mean to have full deck of leggies.You can have only good ones like rag,cairne,sylv,n'zoth and stuff and others like epics/rares or even commons because they're good most of the time.Still hearthstone is p2w,no argue.

You can't get golden Gelbin anymore. It's one of two cards that you can never collect in this game, rendering the game pointless for collectors.

Kripp is a smart guy and Blizz appreciates him, as we do, so take this with a grain of salt.
Hearthstone is not Pay2Win - it is like League of Legends, you can reach maximum potential faster by spending cash.
Everybody knows that e.g. a Control Warrior without legendaries is weaker than same Warrior with the usual goodies.

This deck really needs TBK. It allows you to punish druid decks that invest their whole turn on a big taunt. This allows you to gain back some of the tempo you lose in the early game. The games I win with 30 legends is often turn 6 TBK, turn 7 Boom, turn 8 KT.
This follow-up works really well because when you stabilize with TBK you are still at a somewhat healthy life total. By turn 6 the opponent has seen maybe 3 or 4 cards (ALL legends), so they usually know what's going on. They know Dr. Boom, Ragnaros, Tirion and friends are coming so they want to finish you off asap. They sometimes even ignore the Boom Bots because they are scared of your legends or they answer your Dr. Boom with THEIR Dr. Boom (which obviously is the dream with KT in your hand).
Also, if you add TBK, you might want Toshley. It allows you to kill non-taunt minions if you get Rusty Horn. Probably too cute though.

One thing that makes Total Biscuits Hearthstone videos so enjoyable is that he will throw odd decks into ranked, and talk about the process. This would be much better if you did the same. I really enjoy you're explanations of choice at the start of your videos. But watching you play is kind of dull.
We don't say you have to have every legendary to do good, but you do need SOME and it IS pay to win since you need a certain set of cards since the more options you have the better you can create your deck.

I feel like the arena is a great cycle to open packs, and get more gold, to play more, and open more packs. However, Im a beginning player, just got my first 100 wins, so I have no idea if I should do arena, or how to.

I think they should start makeing legendary weapons And for those classes that dont hold wepons make some kind of legendary shield wonder if it would work. No im not saying it should fully happen but just a thought on how they could make that work

Felzx Milhouse is good without any spells. Cho and Loatheb I dunno...
+PlushNightingale Loatheb is also pretty solid without any spells. When you're limited to only playing legendaries, a vanilla 5/5 for 5 isn't too bad.

One time when I was 18 I came home from school. I shouted to announce that I was home when I heard a noise from my kitchen. It is pay to win. You have to have all the cards to keep up with the meta. If you don't you will not get far.

This is different tho, it's even matched for you cause you guys have legendarys in a quantity, while people who don't are at a major disadvantage, and the disadvantage makes it a pay to play
first of all, i dont think hearthstone is pure p2w.
however, it is really hard to be succesful without spending money on the game.
reasons: if you miss some legendaries/epics you can only play hunter and zoo. furthermoore it is basically impossible to play at a competetive level if you dont have specific cards that are substantial for the meta decks, for example: controle warriors, handlock, rampdruid, mage ....
finally, a problem is, that it is really hard to get gold/dust in order to get the cards f2p. you basically have to be good/lucky enough to play endless arena, which requires you to win 7-8 games on average
I think this way of thinking that a lot of people who already have all of the legendary cards have is completely ignorant. No shit a deck with mostly high mana cards and no spells is going to lose, its like a backwards zoo without any removal spells at all.
The argument isn't that a deck full of legendaries is overpowered, but how can you compare this to say, the cookie cutter control warrior? Compare a wallet warrior to a free control warrior. Where the free to player has a good amount of the rares and maybe even an epic or two, then the wallet warrior has legendaries that more than often do the same thing as 2-4 cards do with the single card, allowing for even more combos and win conditions to be stuffed into the deck.
Let's use grom as an example: 10 dmg 8 health charge if you have one of the many dmg your minion cards a warrior is basically overflowing with. To replicate this you would need a frothing, warsong commander, and an already set up field to ww/run your minions into just to get that same effect with the berserker. Or some other combo with charge too obviously. Point is you need multiple conditions and cards to do it.
Personally I don't care about pay to win, as I've bought both adventures and several card packs, but I wish there was a casual mode with legendaries forbidden kind of like yugioh. Also I wish that streamers would stop acting like certain legendaries don't make a massive impact on the swing of a game with this pompous "ha ha i made a deck with 30 legendaries and lost a lot obviously they aren't overpowered as a whole" nonsense

Ever notice that the serious player with the awesome PvP gear in wow tends to do better than the casual newbie in crap gear? Why would you think this card game would work differently? How do you think they got all that great gear?

It's not pay2win, it's pay2advance. Cards don't make you "win" more, they just give you more options over your opponent. Of course you can't play a fully-evolved Control Warrior until veeeery late into your Hearthstone career, but there are a lot more archetypes that require no legendaries whatsoever. You can get to Legend with a fairly basic deck, the thing that really takes a long time is learning how to play properly, and by that time you probably have the cards you need already.
Pretty much. If people are going to cry that this is p2w then they'd lose their shit over real tcg/ccg where the only way to get cards is money or trading.
