I love your deep review about those solar panels for eufy cameras. Since I live in raincity, it's top tough to get solar charging for my s220 solocam, so I'm considering one of solar panels. Are there any recommendations since you uploaded this item for review? Particularly, I'm trying to find a magnetic mount solar panel that compatible with eufy cameras.

Not really as I’m more and more convinced that battery cameras are not suitable for long term use as I’ve had several issues ranging from water ingress to faulty batteries in the cameras.
The one thing I have found is that the original panel in a good location will work as good as any others if they’re not getting enough sun.

@MATechRUclips I'm completely with your idea. My s220 solocam will be returned since I noticed that its battery is only half left after installation about 2 months ago. I just ordered an e330 and hb3. Solar charge sounds so sweet, but I think its technology needs to be improved way more.

And you lose out on some detections because by the time it fires up the person is gone whereas a wired system can record 24/7 so you don’t miss anything.
The way I see it is battery cameras are for monitoring and wired cameras are for security.

@MATechRUclips I agree with you 100%. I'm returned my s220 solocam and installed e330 with homebase3. It was annoying for doing cable jobs, but after that, im satisfied 100% 😌

I have 4 rohoa solar panels for my eufy cams and they do a good job and look identical to the eufy panels. They are $39 usd for 2. They have 9 ft of cable and 4w. They also charge in the shade.

Husband didn't trust that the eufy cameras would be safe in our weather. He built platforms to attach to trees with the cameras under the platforms and the solar panels fit there also. Since he used wood he painted the wood, then tops and sides have roofing material on them. So far they are working fine. We are getting ready to install a tenth camera, all outdoor cameras. The one mostly in the weather has been up almost a year. That camera gets triggered a lot. We bought generic solar panels.
In the event of failure we have wired cameras. I have since purchased solar generators that can power our internet plus all the security cameras in case of outages as we live in a huge fire area where we are subject to power being shut down.
Thanks, that light on the back of that solar panel is something we haven't seen before. Not that I would run around checking that but birds around here attack the camera lights and adjustments had to be made to prevent that.

Light uses some power, not much but still these put out so little, every bit helps.

This has kept the camera I have it connected to at 100% since installing.

Don't waste your money, not waterproof at all, a rain caused my 2C to break.

What part isn’t waterproof? Mine is still working perfect and keeping my camera at 100%

Are you talking about the eufy camera itself lol? They have a warranty for things like that. You must of got a shit camera as no one else has any problems. Mine are in the winter of minnesota and work perfect all year until it gets below -25. Love these cams.

I have 2 2c pros and they have been outside for 2 years they do get rained on when the wind blows right and they are fine. Now i have 4 of the new eufy 3 cameras with the built in solar panel and I can’t wait to test them in the weather.
