Gave a video like. The Ken Boyer is my favorite. Smart to work on his run now. Love all the’53 Topps! Have a great 4th!
I am working on Boyer, Tommy John and a few other runs right now because I believe they will get into the HOF soon. Thanks sir.
Wow ! beautiful episode , very nice rear collections and detail about players 👌👌🙏🙏like2
Thank you.
Nice slabs. Love them! Enjoy your weekend!
Thank you. You as well.
Fun reveal Drew! I liked how you gave both your and Greg Morris's estimates. Mental note for me, don't trust Morris's grade estimates... Love the Berra! Thanks for sharing
I have tracked them for a number of years. They used to be pretty spot on, but now something has changed. I have gotten a handful of trimmed cards from them. Thanks for stopping in sir.
Great video, great cards. What more can I ask for sharing. Have a great week.
Thank you. I hope you had a great weekend.
Very cool PSA reveal. Sweet Rosen. Enjoyed
Thank you sir. Appreciate it.
Some very nice cards there! The Miranda is indeed a head scratcher, and I would hope GM would offer something as they tout themselves as a highly credible seller of vintage. That said, they look great. Love that Yogi as a capper!
Thanks Peeps. I am hopeful things will turn out well with GM. I had a handful come back as trimmed, but this was the most expensive card. Appreciate your time.
Hello Drew, thanks you for sharing your PSA submission return. Whatever the grade, the cards you showed us are just fantastic ! I LOVE thoses 50 's baseball cards. Thanks you for sharing and keep growing your cards collection farmer...😀.
Thank you my French friend.
This is a really useful exhibition, Drew. I hope Greg Morris does the right thing on that trimmed card.
I have purchased a handful of trimmed cards from them, but this was the most expensive. I guess we will see what happens. Thanks Mookie.
Here from godisgreat. Love the older baseball card look. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for popping over and watching. Have a good weekend.
Nice reveal Drew. Always appreciate the humility in your delivery. I have to say though that I believe Morris influences your grade when they over grade to sell. Many great looking early 50's cards. Nice to see the Boyer RC. I'm still waiting on his 56 for my collection. I wanted an early Boyer and decided on that one.
I think you are right about Morris and the influence remark. The '56 is a better design than the '55 overall so I don't blame you there. I am trying to pick up his cards now before he makes the HOF which I think he should.
Great reveal, Drew! I need to get some Ken Boyer cards before he gets in to the hall...which he deserves. I really like the Berra card too. If you're going to have paper loss or any kind of damage, the borders are the perfect place. The card looks great to me. Have a great 4th.
Boyer certainly does belong in the HOF. As such, I have been buying up his cards when I can. Thanks Mike and I hope you are enjoying your 4th.
That's too bad about that trimmed card. Terrible of them to ghost you and not try to make it right.
Looks like whoever graded your cards was having a bad day. They kept hitting under your grades!
Love that Yogi!
Great video, Drew!
Thanks Cody. It could be that I just need to get better a pre-grading.
Nice reveal. It looks like a lot of these were under graded. They all have great eye appeal.
Thank you for stopping in. Have a great week.
Very solid reveal Drew! Love the Boyer RC that is one of my favorites. Have a great 4th!
Hope you are enjoying your 4th as well. Thanks for stopping by and watching. The Boyer RC is a great card. HOFer one day I hope.
Great cards Drew! They look fantastic! That number means very little to me. I think they look great!
Thanks Jason. Hope you are having a great start of the weekend.
Maybe your estimates are spot on and PSA’s are low. 😅 Thx for sharing those cool 50s cards.
I wish I was that good. lol Thanks Dave.
That’s unfortunate that a couple cards didn’t get graded but I still think you did well. Beautiful cards, man! Take care and have a great weekend!
Hey thank you. I hope you are enjoying your weekend as well.
Nice reveal! I see your point on the one card that was altered for possible erasing. Good old Bob Cerv, good buddy of Roger Maris.
Thanks Scott. Have a good week.
Beautiful cards no matter PSA thought lol. Thanks for sharing
Thank you sir.
Beauty slab reveal!!! It will be interesting to see what the seller of a trimmed card will do. Either way, Happy Independence Day!!!👊🏻❤️💯🙏🏻
Happy 4th to you as well sir. Thanks for stopping in for a moment.
Great video Drew. Those cards look super slabbed. The Al Rosen and Yogi Berra were my favorites. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you sir. I hope you are enjoying your 4th.
Happy 4th Drew! Wonderful cards! Love that Foiles card!
I hope you are enjoying your 4th. Thanks.
Nice reveal. Cool yogi still
Hey thank you sir.
NICE PSA RETURN! I'm terrible at guessing the grades as well 😂 Nice additions to your collection
Thank you. I am trying to get better, but boy do I have a lot of work to do.
Nice cards and pretty good guesses, you did better than I would have. lol.
Thanks but I have a lot of room for improvement. Thanks for stopping in. And thanks for the address you sent.
Nice reveal Drew. Really nice Ken Boyer RC and Johnny Hopp got the Big A. Still a great looking 52 Topps of his. Great 53 Topps. I know that is your go to set. Enjoyed and Happy 4th.
Thanks Steve. I hope you are enjoying the holiday. Appreciate your support.
Morris slogan should be over promise and under deliver- lol seriously great cards decent grades especially that 7. Hopefully, they’ll take care of you with that $90 trimmed card. Thanks for sharing and Good Collecting 👍❤️
lol - Thank you for commenting and watching or is it the other way around? Either way, thanks.
@@CleanCheapShots there standard operating procedure seems to be over promising grades and under delivering results. Yes, typically you’d want that reversed- lol
@@commentingcollector Right on.
Great video. Borkowski def does look like it’s in a sleeve 🤔. Weird. Seems like they maybe grade pretty harshly. Still a nice Yogi card even if it’s a 2. They all are great to have slabbed and in the PC. Great job. Thanks for sharing. Be well. 🤙 14:39
Thanks Dave. I hope you had a nice weekend.
Hi Drew, first off, Happy 4th to you and your family. I hope you enjoy your day.
You showed some nice cards in this video. I go back and forth on whether I want a Ken Boyer rookie because it looks similar to his 56, which I have. I may end up getting it because I am a big fan of his but I want to get a few others first.
Great to see the 59 Cerv given your local connection to him. I like the Foiles card. The fuller body images in 53 stand out because there are so few of them. Nice backdrop on the Borkowkski with the flag and the vintage advertising that is partially visible.
I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing.
I hope you enjoying your 4th with friends and family.
I think Boyer gets into the HOF in the near future and I would expect that his RC would go up in price a great deal. Therefore, I am trying to put his run together now.
Very true statement about the '53 full body shot cards. I tend to gravitate to those more myself for the same reason.
Thank you sir.
Nice returns brother! Hope you're doing good! 💪😁🤘
Hey there. Hope you summer is going well. Thanks for swinging by.
Beautiful cards Drew! Bummer about the Hopp and Miranda! The Borowski card looks like a holder for a larger card, doesn’t have the little groove(?) to hold the card in place that’s why they used the plastic sleeve.
The Hopp was my mistake. I should have caught that. That slab looks to odd for me so I may end up selling it. lol Thanks Jim.
@@CleanCheapShots if you contact PSA and tell them it’s in the wrong holder they might fix it for you
@@PickerJimS I thought about it but it would likely take several months to get back. I think I will sell it. Thanks Jim.
Nice reveal, unfortunate that the Willie Miranda came back trimmed. Thanks for sharing and I hope you had a great 4th of July!
Thank you. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Too bad the Willie Miranda came back as trimmed. I hope GMC does the right thing and at least gets back to you. Interesting about the Henry Foiles and how difficult it is to find in a nice grade. The cards all looked a little better than the grade in my opinion. I’m not that good at evaluating them for a grade but you’re pretty close Drew. Thanks for sharing the reveal with us
Thank you Hugo. I hope you are having a great weekend.
You may not have gotten them all right but these cards are fantastic in my book.
I have to remember that. Great advice. Thanks.
great video!
Thank you.
Thanks for sharing these with us Drew !! I love seeing the before from Greg Morris and what they return as. The dreaded clear back sleeve PSA put on that one you had. I love that 51’ Yogi !!! I think you did better than Greg Morris on guessing the grade
I have been tracking this seller for a few years now. That clear back bugs me. So much so, that I think I need to sell it. lol Thanks Dylan.
@@CleanCheapShots ha ha its only on the back Drew come on now ha ha ha
@@DoubleDvintagebaseballcards Look who is talking. lol Everyone has things that nudge them a bit. Centering might be yours? lol
@@CleanCheapShots 🤣🤣🤣
Always enjoy these. Sorry some of these didn’t hit the way you wanted.
I am trying to get better at pre-grading. I clearly have some work to do. Thanks.
Really good, stay connected! New supporter friend.

Thank you.
It looked like a penny sleeve to me too. Strange. Oh no. Shaving cards - ahhh. It's been long enough for the seller to contact you. I hope you've follow up.
Yes it does look like a penny sleeve. Kind of odd. Thanks and have a good 4th.
Great cards. Not bad, wish the grades were a little higher for you.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hey Drew- great reveal. Sorry about the Miranda. I guess he didn’t get read his Miranda Rights. Haha.
Ha - thanks
Great cards. Resend the 2 to SGC, maybe get a grade
Thanks Orlando. I am one of those that has to have the same slab. I have too many from PSA to change now. Happy 4th.
Great reveal! PSA definitely seems more strict these days. Are we seeing the beginning of the 51 red back set
I was thinking of doing a Yogi run, thus the '51 red back. Thanks for stopping by.
Man, I’m not sure who to blame GM or PSA for grading tougher. Does PSA charge for the trimmed card? I doubt GM does anything. Great cards!!!
Years ago, PSA would charge for cards that were rejected, but I have noticed over the last few years they have not charged me. Thanks Theo.
Another awesome video. Sad psa didn’t grade the 2 cards and I don’t trust psa as they lost my cards but took my money. Anyways keep up the great videos
Wow! They lost your cards? Too bad they didn't make it right with you. Thanks for watching.
@@CleanCheapShots and kept my money including the money to return my cards. I sent in Shohei Ohtani rookie cards and autos from him playing in japan. I believe that they kept my cards
@@godisgreat8462 Holy smoke!
@@CleanCheapShots crazy right
Great returns, Drew! They slabbed. Especially the Yogi! That trimming though... Ugh.
Thanks for stopping in. The trimmed card was disappointing.
Greg Morris sold me a trimmed card also.
Sorry to hear that. Did you try to contact them about it as well?
@@CleanCheapShots It was a 1960 Leaf Felipe Alou and I just bit the bullet. SGC said minimum size and sent it back ungraded. I bought a 1986 Fleer Bird sticker off probstein two weeks ago in a PSA 6. Once I received it, I would tell the card was trimmed. Not sure what to do about that one. These large sellers are starting to drop in quality, just too many items to manage. Overstating the condition, missing trimming, missing recoloring, etc.
@@Retro_Fan Some of these auction houses were investigated by the FBI. I am not entirely sure all who were involved, but you might want to search for it if you are not already aware.
Hey Drew. I’m sure you’re tired of my apologies for being late to comment on your videos. But once again, sorry for my tardiness.
That’s. Bummer about the trimmed cards from Greg Morris. I’ve been a little disappointed in them as well lately with their grades compared to what I’ve received.
I sure hope you’re right about Boyer. I sadly am not that optimistic about him ever making the Hall. If it happens I hope my dad is alive to see it. He eligible again in 2026?
How much more upgrading are you going to do on your ‘53 set?
Hey. There is no such thing as being late to a video. There is this thing called life. I am not sure when Boyer would get another look. They changed how the committees take turns which makes no sense to me. Doesn't seem necessary to do that.
Nearly all of my cards from the 1953 set are 5 or better so I won't be doing much upgrading. There might be a couple of cards I would like to get a better grade in. I am not sure why I keep buying more of them. I guess I just like them.
Have a great weekend.
Let me know if you need me to go and twist a few arms at PSA, I’d be glad to do so.
A hobby hit? Interesting. lol
Either PSA doesn’t know what they are doing or it’s that they’re using technology that u n Greg Morris don’t have? 🤷♂️ Either way those are awesome cards.
Thank you sir. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
PSA is awful. Thanks for sharing your cards.
I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Did you post this video 4 months later? Also, would it seem consitent that the eBay estimates from GM are 1-2 grades above PSA?
Yes, I recorded it a few months back. I sat on it because I was hoping to resolve the issue with the trimmed card. In my experience, I would say GM is 1 grade higher than PSA consistently. Many times they are 2 grades higher especially on GM descriptions of Near Mint. Thank you for your comment.
@@CleanCheapShots Really appreciate the insight. This is valuable information and will help many from overbidding above raw values. FWIW the problem could lie with PSA just as much as GM, if not more. Have heard many cautious stories about them for vintage, and perhaps a handful of "vintage" folks sitting over there himhawing about cards they've seen better than each one coming in. Goes in line with the POP control theory - something to consider as possible nonetheless. It begs the question(s)... SGC? Anomolies where GM grade was accurate? Thanks again.
@@Kybone As you likely know, PSA bought out SGC so it will be interesting to see what changes we see with SGC. I do have some other information I could share. If you are interested, email me and I will send you that additional information.
…….or PSA could be wrong!
Fair enough.
