You want to support baby from one knee pit to the other, in an ergonomic position appropriate to their developmental stage. For the first few months baby's knees will be positioned at hip width apart. As baby develops their legs will start to wrap around the wearer, forming an 'M' position. The doll used to demonstrate with is c. 3-4 months old, at which age many babies are wrapping their legs around the wearer. The doll is carried in an appropriate ergonomic position for their developmental stage. If you watch my videos regarding pelvic tuck/pelvic tilt, and specifically aimed at newborns, you will see the leg position discussed. Roamy, Babywearing Consultant
Thank you, this was really helpful!
You’re welcome! Glad it was helpful to you
Newborn shouldnt sit with the legs spread like this. It's not recommended by the specialists.
