I don't understand the note about breastfeeding, to alternate the straps?

You can probably breastfeed baby while using the caboo but you need to be able to tilt baby in the direction of the inwards panel. Therefore you need to switch it if you want to breastfeed on the side of the outside panel.

I’ve had one of these handed down to me. I wore it yesterday with baby and felt very secure and comfortable however I have just been advised by a Friend that it should have had a cover sleeve and shouldn’t have been worn without it. How important is it and why? As I checked so many times that he was secure and I felt confident

Is the outside wrap needed? I’ve been given a second hand one but missing the outside wrap.

Do you mean the bit that was the bag? Yes it's needed otherwise baby can fall out if you lean forward/they lean back as the 2 straps aren't enough to keep them in

Can it be used without the last piece, or can it be replaced? I lost it.

I would say definitely not. I tried at home many times and clearly the baby isn’t as safe in there. Baby wraps need that third layer that goes across and keeps them snug. Sorry!

My baby doesn't like to be in the sling... 😔

First position can be damaging for newborn's back under 4 months. This idea can be good if you aren't going to use elastic wrap

That’s not true as long as their spine is on a c shape.

Be warned, I was using the sling while leaning over and my baby slid out of it. It went in the bin after that.

You're not suppose to lean in that, it's for carrying a baby not attaching it completely to yourself, should've secured him with the hand

Sorry to hear that happened !! But the caboo definitely is a great product. I’m a fan. That extra outer layer keeps baby safer but isn’t 100% secure in my life experience compared to using a huge scarf and tying it the classic way. Whenever I have to bend over I use my hand for extra security. Sorry again that happened - must’ve been terrifying. Xx
