Just wanted to say thanks! 3 days with my baby and I felt very incompetent, this video helped me drastically on understanding the kind of movement I should perform to move her around. I have terrible coordination in general, so it's much easier having a good set of "instructions" rather than coming up with my own ideas for movements. Baby is much happier when I hold her now ;)
I am an expecting father, and decided to get ahead of the game by looking up how to hold my baby when they arrive. This has helped immensely and I will be saving this video as well as looking for others of yours! Thank you so much!
The way he is holding the baby at 2:10. That’s how my dad was holding me three days after they had me. My mom almost had a heart attack😂 lol, I’m still laughing cause my grandpa recorded it
I've spent 9 months trying to find any kind of resources for dads. Finally, 36 hours after my son was born I've discovered this channel. Thank you so much for this and all of the other info you're providing. Seriously! Thank you!!
This is wild cause I’m currently sitting here with my 36 hour old daughter trying to find out the best way to pick her up without waking mama bear haha

She is so sweet! My youngest is 9 years old now and yet I find myself watching videos like this all the time! Babies are so special especially @ the newborn stage. There is nothing like your newborn all nuzzled up and falling asleep on your chest. I think it brings just as much comfort and bonding for the parents, as it does the baby.
Thank you so much! The newborn stage is pretty special. Jo (featured in the video) is 4 now, but our youngest, Sally, is only a few weeks old. So, we get to enjoy all those newborn snuggles again!
😂 you might be overstating it a bit. We’re planning on pivoting our content to focus on relational aspects of parenting. The plan is to keep it light and fun with more of a vlog feel. I’m excited!
Congrats!!! Happy we could help. New videos are coming soon with a whole new feel and focus. They’ll center on parenting from a whole heart and giving our kids the affection and affirmation they need to grow up happy, healthy, and whole.
This video and explanation has been sooo helpful to me! My niece was just born last night and I needed guidance on how to do this properly, thanks so much.
New dad here, my son was born with a small head injury and I’ve been so paranoid to handle him (he’s all healed up!). This video really helped man. Thank you. I love my son and just want to be a good dad lol
Much appreciated Matt. My wife and I are foster parents and just got a 9 week old in our care(not an age we normally take in but this was a special circumstance). I need a crash course on "how to baby" quickly as my wife and I still need to work fulltime.
I am going to be a dad first time in June, I am so excited but I have never held a baby in my life so I am a little nervous so this is so helpful thank you ❤️
Congrats! 🎈🎊🍾🎉 and thanks for the comment. If you haven’t seen it yet, our video on burping may help ease your mind a bit more. Babies aren’t as fragile as they seem. Here’s the link: ruclips.net/video/W7Q7pbaBCks/видео.html
We just had our first child about three weeks ago. I sometimes get anxious just feed her, so this helped a lot. It will take awhile to get some of the techniques down, though.
You need to support her back as well. Thanks for being a dad. I raised mine without the father. It’s so strange to see a real dad to this day. Men, zip it up if you don’t intend to be around to help.
This was a great video! Could you make a video on tips, things you learned along the way, things you would have done differently, etc. as a husband while your wife/partner was pregnant?
Thank you for this. I am an expecting mother, of my first, and have no experience with babies. This video was extremely helpful. Not all of your viewers are men! 😀
Not in a million years I’d think myself going to RUclips to look for videos like this, just became a dad yesterday here I’m sitting on a chair in the hospital and watching this video . Great video !!! Thanks for the tips
I watched this clip 2 years plus ago in preparation for our first. Watching it again now for our second and realised this clip is 6 yrs old.. Baby Joanna must have grown so much..
Thank you so much brother. I am gong to be a dad for the first time. Little bit older for our first I am 37. Wow this helped me out so much. My wife is so experienced with babies but I am not lol 😝 Thanks again and I hope I can be pro like you. Weird question all: I am cpr certified but is there classes to get certified for infant cpr?
My pleasure! Here’s a link to an online infant CPR Cert from the Red Cross: www.redcross.org/take-a-class/classes/child-and-baby-first-aid%2Fcpr%2Faed-online/a6R0V0000015FV5.html
Ughhh babies are so cute but they scare me they seem so fragile. I’m not even having a baby and I don’t know anyone having a baby anytime soon but I’m watching this in case at something random time I have to hold one
Babies are sooo cute, but they do seem fragile. Fun fact: Babies are born with a soft spot on top of their heads because their skull hasn't fused together yet. My wife calls it a "self-destruct button"
Now this is a REAL man!!! Way to go! Excellent video for new fathers
Mothers too lol
The bar is low
What a nonsense comment, can you keep your woke views you yourself and not post this garble on a genuinely useful channel
@ML-tx4gz
Treatment for childhood PTSD may be a better longterm solution for you.

@@endiya. thank you so much Endiya 🙏🏾. My son has been born 7 months ago and I did a great job holding him and still doing well 😊
The way he done all of that without looking down. I salute you sir!!
Some say that, to this day, he is still just spinning her around
😂 so true
😂😂😂
Hahaha
So legendary!! Lol 😂
its 2020 now. she might be spinning him around!
with two big palm like yours, it seems so easy to give the baby a secure hold.
I suppose it is 😁

Right?! Came here to learn how to hold my newborn, but damn! I wasn't expecting such a handsome daddy! 😊 Mom sure is lucky
Do I have to be a GQ model to be a good parent or what?
Your daughter is fabulously cool, which really help make this demo video run smoothly. 🥰
She is! She certainly made filming easy that day. Thanks for the comment! 🙏 😊

Doesn't it say a lot about our society where we get excited and praise fathers for actually being fathers.....
You’re welcome, and thanks for the encouragement!
I like that football hold. Leaves one arm free to stiff arm the cornerback your blockers missed.
Underrated comment sir!
Thanks I’m watching a baby every day after school
Same video, second baby, great techniques.

More videos are coming soon!
wow excellent video... i am watching again and again
Is there any maximum amount of time for holding the baby in upright position? Any issue with spine development?
Ughhh babies are so cute but they scare me they seem so fragile. I’m not even having a baby and I don’t know anyone having a baby anytime soon but I’m watching this in case at something random time I have to hold one
