Honestly, I am a habitual car trader, I have had an 18 R/T, 19 Scat and now a 20 Scat Widebody.... I actually had less issues with my 19 scat than my 20. At 29k, I was driving home from work one morning and all of the sudden the car stalls to a dead stop, gave a good knock too, i figured i must have blew a fuse or something odd. Nothing was wrong, it took me 20mins to start her back up and went on about my day. Two days later i was coming home one night after going to Busch Gardens. Car stalled and died while going 70 and if you know anything about cars, if the electric goes out so does your power steering... that was fun. Stalled again going to the dealer the next day, had to tow. Car was in the dealer for a week and found out there was some loose ground bolts for the Power Distribution Center. Fast forward to January, one morning I started up and before I left the driveway the engine died again. This time i was more worried because it had drove fine for a month. Car managed to start after 20mins and a jump to find the CEL came on. At this point in time I was trying to go to an interview but had to cancel to go to the dealer. First they said my no. 2 cylinder was cracked and unable to maintain pressure, then it was the cams, then it was the headers and then I landed a new engine at 30k miles, was in the shop for 3 weeks. They gave me a nice rental Grand Cherokee though, very nice.
Do i recommend dodge products, yeah just dont expect it to be the best there is and for the money you might want to look elsewhere until prices drop.

The reason the widebodys delete the fog lamps is to give you the functional vents to cool those big ol' Brembo's.

You're right about the Hellcats; there were three USED Hellcats on the showroom floor and ALL of them were more expensive than my brand new Scat Challenger WB that I special ordered. Incidentally, my salesman called me a week later when I had only 176 miles on the car and told me he could sell it for 10k more than what I paid if I was interested; crazy times. Thanks for the 40k update.
How long did you have to wait? They told me 6 months. I think I got freaked over. I paid 53k with all the fees and tax, & supposedly I ordered the extended warranty, but I've yet to see the paperwork & am about to start looking into it again. But I have a basic narrow body because I didn’t wanna wait 6 months
I paid $62K for my Fully Loaded Scat Charger, I went to the dealership they offered me $58K for it with 5100 Miles on it.

You can cut down the wheel spin with the right tires. I use BF Goodrich Comp 2 A/S Ultra High Performance tires on my ride. I've got the horses you do and get very little, if any spin. They are even good on wet roads. They grip like Spiderman. They heavily contributed to my victories against the Scats I've raced. Please do yourself a favor and look into them, my Brother. :)

They grip great even 245's, they slide too whenever you decide you wanna have fun. The only bad thing about them is that they can deteriorate fast if you don't take care of them. & if you have lots of fun just like any other tire. Id highly recommend rotating them often

Just put 42,000 on my 2019 Charger Scatpack and yes switching up to my daily is hard. My other car is a 2013 Honda Accord coupe that I have to force myself to drive but once I get in it I go from Superman to Clark Kent. But it's cool though I kept the Honda Accord because of it's longevity. Zero issues knock on wood and smiles per gallon. I get between 17.4 to 19.6 in sport mode 95% of the time and never used ECO mode all freeway miles. Love this car.
I just pulled the trigger on a used 2018 with 16k miles. Still in the lust stage, obviously, but I think I'm keeping this thing until the wheels fall off.
The Comp cam stage 2 really woke mine up. It's got Magnafow exhaust and a catch can and that's about it. Fast enough for what it is. If you wanna be faster with this you would have to change rotating assembly to aftermarket. It is great now so I'll save that kinda stuff to my old school toys. I work for a living so a bit limited. Hell , the tuner cost 600 bucks alone.

I have a 2018 Dodge Scat Pack Challenger 392, I have done nothing to it and I mean nothing pure stock. I have never gotten below 19 mpg, I average 22 to 23 around town. On the highway 25 +, I love it. However I do run regular gas, yes regular, the dealership told me to use regular gas. Now my 2020 Ram 2500 4x4 puckup calls for medium gas, even though it the same 6.4 motor, well almost the same, head's are different I'm told, that truck only gets 15 to 16 around town and 20 to 21 highway. I was surprised when you said if you put regular in your charger it would blow up. I have 40,000 thousands plus miles on my challenger and never had any problems. Good luck to you and I supposed you already know the Hellcat is capable of drinking a gallon and a half of gas per minute. I saw that on Jay Leno garage. Good luck.

When I'm street racing. I put my15in Slick's on there is no spinning I get all the power to the ground drag radials and regular tires are a joke. Put stress on the rear end easy fix if it breaks

I took a little trip 2 weeks ago. I live in Indianapolis Indiana and I drove a nice little round trip to Las Vegas, just over 3,800 miles and my Durango SRT was amazing on the open road!!!
Could you do a video on what you think is worth fixing yourself and what you leave your mechanic to work on for 2019+ chargers?
I run Nitto NT555R2s in the warm weather months and Continental DWS06s any other time. The Nittos are king when it comes to traction but not as comfortable if you daily which I do, but it still doesn’t bother me just depends on your preference. The continental is just better all around but you will still get just a little spin.

Your mpg will go up if you keep it at 2000-2500 rpm in the upper gears ⚙️ 5-8. When im cruising, Ill keep it in manual mode, 7th gear at 2000-2500 rpm(70-80 mph). Also, if you engine brake instead of using your brakes you’ll save yourself at least 1500 dollars or more on your brembos but you will spending more on oil changes which Ill happily pay for than 1500-2000 dollars on brembos 😂 lastly, to minimize spinning, get yourself a set of Michelin Pilot sport 4s which are the best damn tires in the business and you can start in 2nd gear so you can take off right without much spinning 👍🏼💯
Well bad timing the Michelins just went up again, but it's been building for over a year got mine in spring, before tire tariffs r talking hold.

If you can afford a Scat Pack you should be able to afford $1500 brembos.
@@blackice7408 no if your doing between 70-80 mph(cruising speed) in manual mode you’ll be at about 2000 rpm maybe a little higher auto mode doesn’t allow you to control the rpms or engine brake like in manual mode
My charger scat pack is being built in the factory right now. I ordered at the end of November and they said production will talk 8-12 weeks. I’m beyond excited to get in it and drive off the lot

The scat pack is rated for 15 city 25 high, so 24 mpg on that stretch to Atlanta is good when you considering driving through kings mountain and that construction on I-85
I swear I85 has been under construction for years, the worst wrecks I’ve seen are there.

I used to pay $4.8 for premium at 76 I think. Now I go to arco and it was $4.3 but now $4.5. And yes we think $4.3 is cheap (California). Costco premium got to $2.7 before tho

I don’t agree with the tire comment. The right rubber makes all the difference!! On any and every car!! 295 of Michelin PS4S or Cup 2 would destroy 305-315 Scorpions or pirellis (unless you get the P Zeros or better that come on exotics)
I love my 2017 Charger Daytona. Just past 36,000 miles now at 45,000: both headlights failed, replaced with aftermarket. Water pump went out. Thankfully I was at a light instead of the freeway. A/C compressor went out Replaced the front brake pads. Of course, tires. Plastic next to my right leg the trim warped close to my shifter. Very disappointed with the quality of parts, love love the car! I’ll never sell it.
They got rid of the fog lights so those vents blow air directly on your wheels to help cool them down. Straight goods. Real facts.
I made fogs for mine
That design was only necessary for the hellcats since they had additional radiators located behind the fog light locations. Dodge just didn't wanna spend extra money on a unique widebody design with foglights for the scatpack. There were already airducts for the brakes on the srt body with fog lights
@@blackice7408 you can tell they don’t give two shits bout scats lol bc look at the narrow body. The snorkel grill not even connected to anything on the scat. Their air boxes don’t make use of it, only the charger hellcats come with air boxes connected to the snorkel

Man I have a 17 scat charger fill up in Oakland ca by the time I get to Las Vegas I'm pushing a Lil over 27 mpg. 17s don't have eco mode either and I'm steady between 75 to 90 the whole way certain burst of 100 having a ili fun very capable car. Yeah I can't stand eco mode and it's bad for it too. I do get like 26mpg at 65 in a scat pack charger 2019 in that mode. But I usually run it anything but eco mode.

It's an electronic throttle it records the percentage of the throttle bodies being wide open I had a customer came in with his hemi and when they plugged it in it was wide open 90% of the time

The suspension is really good in track mode cars handle better than people expect they’re stiff af which is something you enjoy or hate in eco they ride plush that 11 yr old platform has been refined at the end of the day though haters gonna hate on em I love my scatty though throwing it side ways never gets old

Be careful when tires are new, slippery
I own a 21 WB SP charger I put 3153520 continental dsw's tire hook with minimal spin. I work for Goodyear tire and not all tires all equal in quality. Knockout did put a lower quality tire which would make a big difference also. Btw Goodyear doesn't make a tire to fit my car in case your wondering why I didn't use a Goodyear product.

I've had multiple dodge products and multiple lexus products. My next lexus will be a GSF. I'll never buy another Dodge product again. Not because I hate dodge. Because of I did I wouldn't have had 3 cars from them. Every single 1 gave me issues. And 1 was from brand new with only 90 miles when I got it. A hole started coming in the floor board on the driver's side. And it was ridiculous. I couldn't believe it. Lexus cars have absolutely never given me a single issue. I love my Gs 350 f sport. I just want more power. So I'm gonna upgrade to a GSF. I'll never go back to dodge. But for those that do. Good luck and enjoy and appreciate what you have because having a vehicle period is a blessing regardless what you drive. It's a privilege..some people have no car at all. Salute to everybody drive safe.

My 18 scat came with 245s and it felt like death on wheels when doing just the normal type driving even after upgrading to 275s. My 21 widebody scat is is a night and day difference on traction. Don't really get the title in this vid though🤔🤷🏾♂️

I put my order in for a 2022 challenger hellcat widebody Sunday. I tried to order a redeye but couldn’t customize it none of the options were available everything was out of stock I could only get cloth seats and standard rims there system only let me customize the regular hellcat with all options available 🤷🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️

Not from there but in-laws in that part of the country but there’s a gas station in a town north of the Bay Area about an hour north that it’s the only gas station in town Chevron I believe, and if our prices on the East Coast are two to 3 dollars a gallon they are running 5 to 6 dollars a gallon at least. Certainly last year when we were paying four dollars a gallon I know they were paying about seven dollars a gallon

Power stops by z71 works will solve that brake dust issue.

Have your rear e-brake assembly checked, mine on my 19 challenger completely fell apart at 40k. $2500 to fix em and only the dealer could get the parts. Other than that best car I’ve ever owned!
