I bought my 2019 Scat used. Car looked brand new, drive train was spotless. Used isn't an issue in my opinion, just be cognitive in what you're looking at. Check the car over before hand. Most used Scats can be had with a warranty too (if bought from a dealership)
You can buy from a private owner and still get the remainder of the warranty,But the key is do ur homework ,take your time and wait for the right car,When i bought my 2016 Hellcat in march of 2019 ,it was like a brand new car and i paid $46k ,it had 1,778 miles,The original owner bought it as a leftover in august of 2017,so i still had 19 months left on the bumper to bumper warranty and and 43 months left on the power train.I bought the car from a 51 year old who owned mutiple muscle cars and this was one of the 2 cars he was selling to free up cash to buy his next toy which was a Dodge viper.I recently sold my car for $50,500 with a little over 18k miles on it ,Its all about being smart ,know what your buying and thats about it.
I bought my 18 daytona used but still under bumper to bumper warranty. The previous owner dealt with the depreciation I just swooped in and got a good deal. It only had 11k miles I bought the mopar maximum care from mopar too so that extended my bumper to bumper even longer.
Ok then how long you been around cars? I guess you for got that extended warranty sometimes won't be covering everything on the car ? Mr get the extended warranty. Have you done research or have you got that money tree in the backyard or house ? Sorry all sometimes can't afford or want something that just put your hellcat from 44 or 50 all the way to 70 or 80 thousand dollars and yes after you financed. Mr extended warranty. Hey it is what it is. You know it all.
I agree with you 100%. As a mechanic I do research on these cars and everything about them . So when I get one I Know what to do when purchase. I also inform others to do the same. High mileage is a chance you will be taken having problems not enjoyment of the car. Yes so do your research, take a mechanic with you when you go purchase one or take to one so he or she can take a look at before you buy it. Thank you for putting this out there is a investment not a toy. You have the love for the car to enjoy it and appreciate the car.
Definitely inspect the axels 4 the challenger & driveshaft for the charger, fail points on manual challenger do to wheel hop bad suspension & tires, the issues with the driveshaft on the charger auto still kinda baffle me but hemi muscle knows. He got out his right after he got it fixed.
I agree with you on this Knockout 360. I'm the second owner of a 6.4L. Perfect exterior, interior (60k on it). The first week? Had to replace brake pads....following week? Rotors....a month of ownership? All plugs changed then? Waterpump....then tires....now? Runs like a champ but yeah....be careful out there. Look the entire car over.
Yo Bro I bought mine same miles and same stuff I had to replace to besides the water pump but I had even got a check engine p0456 but it wasn’t that bad of a fix.

I agree with everything you said. I bought my 19 scat when it was only 4 months old. Only had 4,500 miles on it. Brand new still. A few months ago bought my wifes wide body scat challenger 2019 with only 10,000 miles on it. Still pretty new. I take really good care of our cars. Probably only did a few burnouts and few donuts that's about it. This is a expensive investment. Im trying to keep mine for a long time without having to fix a ton of stuff on it. Yeah I have fun with it but its babyed. I wont go buy a scat/hellcat with over 25,000 thats my limit. Great video
Honestly I might go for a high mileage one. 15k-18k miles a year means it's a daily. People don't rag too hard on their car if they only have one. 3-5k a year means it's a second car. Was it sitting in a garage or outside? Nothing kills a car like sitting

Some people dont know what they’re talking about lol . I bought my first scat at 119k miles and it ran so good I ended up selling it and the new owner has it at 180k still running strong
He isn't lying though.. a lot of those chargers/challengers run like $35,000-60,000 but be having like 65k-90k miles 2017 and up you know people do a lot of racing and stuff like that in those type of cars, I see it all the time here in Va groups of them together on the highway flying.. I’m bought my 2014 challenger RT 100th anniversary with 57k miles on it recently. The Original owner was in the military and didn’t beat on the car it was barely driven at all but these cars are made to be beat on. I plan to cam it so I don’t have to worry about lifter issues later. Don’t buy any car from anyone under the age of 30.

My cousin bought his 2019 scat a year ago with 6k miles and has done nothing but beat on it. It’s now in the mid 30ks and I know if he ever gets rid of it the next owner will have a hell of a time
Now is the time to buy new if you want one of these. Just picked up 23 Scat Challenger 6 Speed with 14 miles on it 7K off MSRP (it's March 2024 currently). You are right, these cars get beat on. I didn't want someone else's beat on Scat, so I took the plunge on a new 23 (in 2024). I plan on playing with it, but it won't be beat on and maintenance will be documented well.. It's our 4th car, so not a daily to the office. Will be garaged 100% of its life while it's in my possession.
I don’t think this type of car I would buy used !!! You are spot on ! People that had these cars beat the sh*t out of them . Keep the content coming bro 😎. You speak the truth 👍. I don’t beat on my car either . I have a 2018 Daytona 392 and it has 24,800 miles !!!😜

I bought a used rt rental car back in 2019 with 36k miles now I got 56k miles and only thing I had to replace was the radio screen because it started separating but that is more of a dodge quality problem everything else is perfect
What's up bro, totally agree, this cars even the 5.7 is better to get it brand. Look I don't do all that crazy things with my car I can tell you that for sure, I just hit the gas once in a while I just reach 115 just couple months ago and you know that ain't shit, for me was a milestone. What piss me off is the fact that i just replace my drive shaft last month no need for that when I take care my car, I just imagine all this abusive that 392s and hellcats receive. My car is 6 years 43,000 well maintained and still have this issues hopefully dodge take care this problems in a near future. But still loving my car.
Bought a 1owner 18 scat fully loaded 22k miles for $29500 with a $800 down during the beginning of Covid when dealerships were down bad. looks brand new could trade up but why do it when note is $500 month
I also bought mine used, but it only had 7,000 miles on it. Still brand new in my opinion. You are absolutely correct about buying a scat pack a hellcat or even an RT with high mileage. It is physically impossible to drive any one of those cars responsibly the entire time you're driving it. You might be able to get through 90% of the drive but some point your flooring it. With that said 90% of the miles on the car are hard and highly abusive. Lastly you would like to think any Challenger charger owner would be unbelievably diligent with maintenance. But unfortunately broke ass people by cars they can't afford, beat the shit out of them until they're broke and then get rid of them. Same goes for rich young kids. If it's within 15,000 mi of the warranty expiring I wouldn't buy it. Yes I know you can buy an extended warranty but that's not the point it has too many hard fucked up miles on it.
Just because you have it inspected doesn’t mean they will discover everything. I had a vehicle inspected and requested they included tune up needed with any other issues. They said, we can only list what we find wrong. Right after the 7 day test drive period. Engine malfunction code. Needed a tune up, that i had to foot the bill for. Shop wanted to charge me thousands of dollars. I bought everything for $120 coil packs and plugs and pep boys charged $300 labor. Way cheaper than dealer or the local German specialist shop wanted to charge.
I cannot agree more. As an old hotrodder that has built engines ( machine work), this is all relevant. These are performance built. The R/T has a conservative level of output and over engineering. But the 392 on up it's a roll of the dice on what may be. In spot info. Great post...
This is damn good information I will never buy a used Charger are Challenger, because you just don’t know what the Original Owner did to that Car and how it was taken care of.
i get called a pussy or get told that’s a real scat driver(implying someone who swings it) by my bois for not swinging or burning tires, i barley put 2k miles but majority of swingers already done wrecked or damaged the rear end and mine is in perfect condition while they paying for parts/tires/suspension/etc 🤷🏻♂️ i’ll eventually have fun but that’s after i get done cruising and enjoying it’s luxury lol
Was just watching this. I got a 2019 scat charger with 193,000 miles recently in it and it's damn near perfect. Hasn't needed anything, no check engine lights, nothing.
@@RobertEdits bought it to flip from the auction. It was a theft recovery. Going to end up letting it go for around 20k once it’s done, just gotta paint front bumper from rock chips and get it detailed. Clean title
Want to put it this way I bought a 300 SRT8 with $70,000 MI I got a extended warranty it came with exhaust it came with a nice set of wheels better than factory I am using the warranty to fix things I think might go wrong. Everybody has different circumstances these cars are rare the chargers and challengers are extremely overstocked., 🤷🏾♂️
I would just ask how much idling it has done? Hellcats and manual scats don't have to worry but everything else has MDS which starves lifers for oil at idle. This is because the MDS lifters are only lubed directly during the an MDS event. This is due to the lifter mechanism collapsing when pressurized oil enters the bore by command of the computer to activate MDS. So the only time oil directly enters the lifter bore is to activate MDS.
a low mileage rush-hour challenger is probably much worse than a higher mileage car that have some highway driving. The MDS lubing is very interesting, I saw a video on it , and its also interesting that many get it deactivated by reprogramming it...:-/
You would really have to baby the Dodge Charger 392 scat pack with high miles depending on the owner might be a OG that could of took care of it and didn’t do burnouts but you are still right the majority do beat the fuck out those cars 😆
As a owner of a charger 392. Im going to be honest anyone thinking of buying any charger, challenger, durango, cherokee, ect... All of us are just like Will Smith in Bad Boys 2 "Dan Marino should definitely buy this... well not this one because im going to f*** this one up... but he should definitely buy one just like this one" 🤣
You can buy a car with 10k miles and it can be destroyed. When buying used it's roll of the dice. All you can do is check car fax and if your not a mechanic have your mechanic check it. Then your good. You can buy a brand new car that can end up on the side of the road. Covered or not still will be an inconvenience. So again buying used is roll of the dice
When it comes to these kind of cars if you have to ask about maintenance or gas, you should reevaluate, never buy these cars used unless you plan on building it up, or if you have a bomb mechanic who can get you in the right car, you may get lucky but I would go new if I were buying one of these
No disrespect, normally I would agree with you 100%, however I own a 2018 Shaker Scat Pack Challenger that bought brand new for my wife. She loves the carand would never run that car hard, she won't even drive it in the rain. I myself have never even turn the tires over except by accident. Our challenger gets 22 to 25 mpg on the highway. By the way we're both in our 60s 🤣. I was into drag racing when I was young, but with this car, this car has nothing to prove.

If people allow me to be great my car should last for a long time. I too baby my car but people don't give a s*** they open their doors recklessly they see you on the road drive close to you wanting to provoke you to do things other than that I stay the course I park far from people I don't mind to walk that's what I can help fight against other than that on my end I should be fine for a long time.
Got my 2017 Daytona 392 with 15k under average mileage for the year. Used Carvana on a single owner well maintained car. Was it raced? I'm sure it was but at the same time I got the coverage for any issues that may show up. I also used the 7 day test drive to have it checked and all was good they said especially considering most people beat on them. Mine is a daily so sometimes I get on it but not all the time.

Got lucky on mine. I got my 2018 Challenger 392 recently with 10k miles on it. 1 original owner.
Agree. I bought a brand new Widebody Charger just for the same reason. I know how people love to beat up on these cars.
I’m buying new regardless especially with these cars people buy them to abuse lmao 🤣
Drive like bats out of hellllll you hea me 😂I’m not taking they left overs
N makes no sense to buy used rn w prices
I've beaten the shit outta my scat pack
@@officialluroiAKALouieBeenCappn bro I agree with you 💯 percent
@@slimhardaway8 😂😂 as you should it’s built for it
I learned my lesson nothing matters unless you have extended warranty used cars are still good
i bought mine used, its been awesome.
I never beat on my Scat...top speed 151...no burnouts, no swinging...I baby my shit lol
Your point is very valid I say the same thing about the Nissan gtr .
facts
I was looking at 30k under miles for daytonas then I just ordered a 2021 scat widebody smoke show wait for it to come
I bought a used rt rental car back in 2019 with 36k miles now I got 56k miles and only thing I had to replace was the radio screen because it started separating but that is more of a dodge quality problem everything else is perfect
Exactly what my dealer told me. Trade them before 60k because the value starts nose diving after 60k.
@@j.vosier6786 Did you get another or something different?
@@j.vosier6786 I traded my 2019 at 17k because they offered me a stupid amount of money for it. I expect to keep my Widebody until I am bumping 60k.
@@j.vosier6786 Nothing at all wrong with that. That's for sure.
I'm surprised used ones aren't selling for under $20K at this point.
I love the content brotha… keep dem coming. We here to help you win and see everyone eat💪🏾
You had me at "do not buy a used dodge charger 392 scat pack".
Bought a 1owner 18 scat fully loaded 22k miles for $29500 with a $800 down during the beginning of Covid when dealerships were down bad. looks brand new could trade up but why do it when note is $500 month
Just bought a scat with 98K. Hopefully she will treat me well. I’m gonna maintain her regardless.
How’s it going
Buying NEW! PERIOD! NOT TAKING THAT CHANCE!
Another thing....just because you can afford the car note you better factor in maintenance costs or you will be in trouble.
I cannot agree more. As an old hotrodder that has built engines ( machine work), this is all relevant. These are performance built. The R/T has a conservative level of output and over engineering. But the 392 on up it's a roll of the dice on what may be. In spot info. Great post...
I like your Show I got a 2018 Scat with 32,000 Carmax..Second one 5.7 to 6.4 GREAT CARS..NOO ISSUES
Love the video man, and appreciate the honesty. Very good points....that's what forced me to look at NEW verses USED.
This is damn good information I will never buy a used Charger are Challenger, because you just don’t know what the Original Owner did to that Car and how it was taken care of.
" Your 1 button away from Freedom " 😭😭😭💯💯😂
i get called a pussy or get told that’s a real scat driver(implying someone who swings it) by my bois for not swinging or burning tires, i barley put 2k miles but majority of swingers already done wrecked or damaged the rear end and mine is in perfect condition while they paying for parts/tires/suspension/etc 🤷🏻♂️ i’ll eventually have fun but that’s after i get done cruising and enjoying it’s luxury lol
Was just watching this. I got a 2019 scat charger with 193,000 miles recently in it and it's damn near perfect. Hasn't needed anything, no check engine lights, nothing.
Holy shit how much
@@RobertEdits bought it to flip from the auction. It was a theft recovery. Going to end up letting it go for around 20k once it’s done, just gotta paint front bumper from rock chips and get it detailed. Clean title
This car that I have now was a rental so it wasn't beating the hell at all I still drive it like a rental so it should be fine
Bring The ( This ) intro Back With The ITS Ya Boy Knockout 360
sir you have a great channel
Should I buy a srt8 with 200k miles for 3500 ? I understand the the risk but I have a little more leftover to put an engine just in case !!!
The MDS lubing is very interesting, I saw a video on it , and its also interesting that many get it deactivated by reprogramming it...:-/
For sure. Ain’t no way I’m gonna own a Scat Pack/Hellcat and drive it like a grandma with a Prius. At least not while under warranty lol
#FACTS
Great video brother. I bought a 21 scat pack as a trade-in 23,000 miles on it I bet the shit out of it lol 😂 old school
I baby they have a lot of it
I baby the hell out of it damn, I can’t spell for shit great video, my brother thank you for the tip 🤙🏽
have my going on two years, just hit 12k, i love my scat, have to take care of your car and not beat it up
I got a deal on mine 30k miles for 33k. I had to replace the resonator 3k to replace, but it was under warranty. I got everything but a sunroof
What city
I’m Houston a 40-50k mile one is 38k and up
@@392lu that was 2yrs ago. I had it shipped it from Cali. I just traded it in and now they want 37k for it
@@Akron2PDX yeah it’s crazy prices are stupid high rn i want a used 2017 but i think it will be best to wait for next year
You would really have to baby the Dodge Charger 392 scat pack with high miles depending on the owner might be a OG that could of took care of it and didn’t do burnouts but you are still right the majority do beat the fuck out those cars 😆
What type of charger is good for winter seasons?
This videos basically sums up why I factory ordered my Camaro. I'm going to baby the hell out of it and of course give it the very occasional beating
You can turn off traction control in any car. It's useful to turn it off if you're stuck in the mud or snow or something
Great video and thanks for the information
Snack pack 🥳 jk 19 ss owner but these cars are gorgeous I see so many on the road nowadays but those cars sound so mean 🔥
Great informational video my friend
Keffer on independence had a used Daytona all black for 37,000 3 ppl already had owned it and it had 83,000 miles on it already
Gah damn
What thumbnail software do you use man??
Intro is dope
You can buy a car with 10k miles and it can be destroyed. When buying used it's roll of the dice. All you can do is check car fax and if your not a mechanic have your mechanic check it. Then your good. You can buy a brand new car that can end up on the side of the road. Covered or not still will be an inconvenience. So again buying used is roll of the dice
Knockout360 has a HellCatCharger He also operates His SRT with Great care be like KnockOut360💪🏾
15k miles or less for a Cat. Preferably a Hellcat that was previously leased.
By the way our challenger has 40,000 thousands miles on it.
I agree cuz trezzell and the boys probably did donuts on it and beat the hell out of it 9000 other ways too
Hope to be cruising down the street in my 6.4 by the end of THIS year 2023
Look for 50,000 miles or less bet 👌🏼👌🏼
You and me both, hope you get there man💪🏾
This guy is basically the debbie downer of the mopar community
Omg homeboy is being honest for once
He usually lies then?
@@Xx5thofHennyxX he.stretches the truth for you young guys . Complains about the police cracking down on street racing and road take overs and says he don't do that shit. Then during the gas shortage gets gas and he says he's racing every mfer he see on the road home so what would you call it HAHAHAHAHAHA
Mind as well buy new at this point anyway….the prices of these cars are shooting up like crazy….A new V6 GT is starting out at 30-35K. I seen dealerships Selling 06 SRT8 and Superbees for 20-25k. Some 30k plus with low mileage
There's no srt at no 10-25k
If I ever decided to sell my Redeye Charger, somebody will get a good car. I have 1,800 miles on it and I still have not spun the tires or hit 110 MPH. I baby the car and take mine to car shows and meets. I love my Redeye. Not for sale!
A scat is in my future plans. And if I get up to 100mph. That will be a good day.
Never sell it nor trade it
Used is okay but not over 10,000 miles
I'm currently looking at a 2017 Daytona 392 with 93,000 MI they're asking $26,000 I figure if the engine blow on me I will just go ahead and stroke it out anyway to a 426 do you think it's a good buy or no
idk about all that...i was doing 100+ a to b in the crappy old civic..in fact i blew something the last time i was at 90 and floored it...RIP
Hey Knockout, i thought ur windows were tinted??? And how come you never mention anything about the Durango and Durango Hellcat models???
If u wanna run it into a tree u can do that as well 😂😂😂😂
Never buy a used muscle car if you can avoid it. They all been beat to shit. Nobody buys a muscle car to look at it. Well, except me. 21 new WB Scat 6 spd Shaker. But I'm pushing 90 yo.
Thought i waz watching a dodge commercial.
Did you have any issues with carvana ? I been seeing alot of bad comments regarding getting ur title sent in etc . ? Any thing u can vouch for ? Alot of cars i like on there website
@@omarvaladez9492 I have had my car since March 2021 from them. No issues with it. I am sure some people have had legit issues but the girl that dropped it off was super careful and even warned it would be hard to roll off the truck being the Daytona sits lower than a scatpack. She did fine getting it down though. They took care of the plates and title work for me. You get 7 days 400 miles to test ride and decide before keeping the car. It was a very smooth experience on my end. I plan on getting my next vehicle from them as well.
