The only way I would prefer to have 6.4 over my 5.7 is if I was never going to mod it. Their used to be a stronger argument to buy a 6.4 over a 5.7 when the bodies weren't the exact same.
Like I told you before, Knockout 360. I love my R/T with 171,891 miles and it still goes strong. I had a Chrysler SRT and it's a gas guzzler and I had problems towards the end. So I would never do 392 so I learned a lot from having that car. R/T is the way to go.
I have a 2020 challenger R/T with active exhaust it’s still stock and I absolutely love it I’ll never try to make it to be as fast as a scat I love it because it’s an R/T top speed 155 mph is way more than enough for me sometimes you just gotta love your car for what it is no matter what kind of car you buy
@@russellbrownlastnameI’m 45 and have a ton of fun in my “slow land yacht” R/T 5.7! I’m sure a 6.4L Scat would be more fun at times, but my 5.7 does enough rumbling and grumbling(and catches wheel when I make it, easily) for me to enjoy for 2 years, than I’ll trade it in on something probably totally different, like a 2026 Toyota Tundra or Sequoia... 😂🤷🏼♂️
I agree. You have to buy within your budget without settling. When I first bought my 5.7, they were trying to sell me a 3.6 because I didn't have car buying credit. Got my stuff together, came back 6 months, bought a brand new 5.7 with every option I wanted.
Most importantly, I love your content! You know your stuff! I have a 2018 Challenger R/T. Thank you for the 5.7 love. But I think you might not quite have your finger on the pulse of a typical R/T owner. Most of us just want a solid car with V8 power, that Hemi sound, and really aren’t interested in more than 375 HP. We don’t want to race or go 0 to 180. Some do! Most don’t. Don’t get me wrong itd be fun to have a scat pack, but I’m happy with my mostly stock R/T!
Just bought my wife a 2022 charger RT, really don't need anything stronger than that. Just need a strong reliable car for her, plus its a daily driving car.
@@riverabrosgardening5763 did you get a good deal on the 22? RT’s are less likely to be gouged but you never know. I’m considering trading my 18 in for a 22
The 5.7 is unfortunately detuned from factory in order to separate it further from the scat pack. Because a tuned 5.7 is making 400+hp and as for the 6.4, 6.2 they are both just modified 5.7 hemi’s tbh.
What some people don't understand, if they do anything extra 2 the RT,it really wouldn't make any sense 2 get a Scatpack...Thats why they have the RT where it is,because it would effect the sales of the Scatpack .
I’m 22 I had a 3.6. I upgraded to a 5.7 rt mid last year. Low key sometimes I wish I woulda waited and got me a scat but hey it is what it is. At the end of the day I’m happy with the RT. I doubt I’ll go to a scat no since I’m coming from 3.6 to a 5.7. I think in the future I’ll just get a used hell cat. I just got what I could afford cause they taxing on them scats right now so I just got the rt because it’s more affordable and it’s a perfect balance between reliability and power. I know God will bless me with an abundance so I’ll be able to afford a hell cat in the future 🙏🏽
When I got my 19 Rt. I was working for Amazon. That’s All I could afford. I’m a truck driver now and can afford a scat and Hellcat now. But I’m cool with my RT. I’m barely at home to have a scat or hellcat sitting for so long. Due to me being on the road for long time periods. Get what you can afford.
I’ve had both. Right now in 392WB. Can honestly say the 5.7L performance was pretty close to the 6.4L. But, I definitely feel more power with the 392 and it hits corners so much harder. Still would take the 392 all day but not gonna say the R/T is really that big of a difference. Just my opinion. And good point on you want to get what you can afford bc I’d have a redeye if I could. I’d be saying the same thing I bet because they are all fast coming from a 84’ Subaru wagon missing a back passenger door back in 98’ for my first ride 😂
Thanks for the facts going 172 verses 155mph top 🤷🏾♂️ guess the police chase a last longer if your a wide body or scat fanatic ? We know tickets still cost the same 🤣🤝 maintenance for both the same go srt if u race if not RT IS WORTH IT BOTH Beautiful cars and well-Built RT CAN Out perform SRT OR SCAT OR DAYTONAS FACTS mopar world is sick never see BMW BOYZ ARGUING THIS MUCH 😀
Faaaaacts. I test drove a 392 challenger and a 5.7 Daytona charger. I didn't feel that much difference to be honest. Not sure if the daytona's tune and intake made a difference or what. But yeah
Buy what you want to buy period. The 5.7 has more room to grow just a few bolt ons and e85 and I can beat stock scat chargers. Also I would say price point plays a big roll and having fun by building it as a “car guy” youre suppose to have fun modifying your car. “Built no bought” thats what we go by.
When I purchased my 2021 slim body I was looking at a wide body also . But remember it’s not just 6000 extra it’s also put in a loan and will cost a lot more. My opinion I got mine because of the Hemi experience not the fenders
The Drag Pak Challenger run a small displacement Gen3 Hemi, I think it's a like a 5.8L small block Hemi with a Supercharger, and they're running in the 7's in the quarter... so the 5.7 does have potential & as far as reliability is concerned, it's all in the engine builder who puts it together and assemble it & the parts that used... I was smoking 2 Chargers yesterday on the interstate and both of them were 392's and I left them 3 times in my R/T.... I feel the 5.7 is definitely underrated and looked down upon
Get the car for the passion. There is always a car faster than you, but only one (or fine, a few) that fill your heart with joy, and give you a lifetime of memories
Ordered my scat widebody charger, when I was a kid my dad had an 03 ctsv. I have great memories of tearing up the streets with that thing. Since he passed I always wanted a big v8 sedan, now I'll have one to enjoy with my daughter as she grows up. Can't wait to pass along those memories
you buy a 5.7 if you want to daily it, 6.4 is for when you want to be Ricky Bobby. 6.4 is faster , but 5.7 can keep up. 10k price difference to me wasn’t the problem, finding a low mileage scat RIGHT NOW is rare, so unless you are ready to fix a scat that is out of warranty, once the lifters leave the chat.. 5.7 is the way to go
5.7 cannot keep up stock I’ve seen them barely beat mustang ecoboosts and v6 Camaros. They don’t have enough power to offset how heavy they are. As for daily drivers they’re only related for 1 extra mpg compared to scats
5.7 IS THE MOVE!!! Way cheaper than scat and hellcat!!. You can modify the engine to be equal or faster than scat thats just my opinion. Anyways im gonna get a RT at the end of the day. The dealerships are overpricing the scats and hellcats wasnt for that i would get scat for MSRP no brainer!! but as for right now people i know bought an RT love it!! Not lot of people can’t afford an Scat and Cat especially the crazy interest rates on Auto Loans even you have good or better credit😓🤦🏽
My R/T is the perfect car. I have the black top and performance handling packages. It's a great daily driver, my insurance is cheaper, I can get 26-28 mpg on the highway and it's easy to mod when I'm ready. Plus I'm not as worried about it getting jacked. Great content, love the channel !
Another good video Knockout. I got a 5.7 Challenger and I love it but if I was able to afford Scat I definitely would have gotten the Scat over the 5.7. Just stay in your financial lane and get what you can afford. All these cars look and sound good..
I own an RT as a family car is great on gas and is light to the pedal, maybe not a 6.4 but I don’t see it like that, is a great daily to me, I also own a C7 vette for the fun times. However this guy has a point, you buy according to your needs
I can give you the best reason you buy a 5.7--you are going to get a spare tire! I had to buy an aftermarket spare for my Charger Scat and it eats up a lot of the trunk. At the end of the day, nothing sounds like a V-8--whatever size. Back in the days of muscle, MOPAR's best selling big block, the 440 with a 4-barrel carb was only making about 370hp. The 5.7 makes the same with a more fuel efficient engine with fuel injection.
I see what you're saying. But it depends. If you're getting a 5.7 daytona with the Alcantara/leather memory cooled/heated seats, upgraded suspension, 20X9 wheels, adapted cruise/lane assist, Mopar intake/daytona specially tuned 345 with that deep exhaust note over a base scat with wack cloth seats then IDK!
I love the 5.7 and the 6.4...2 be honest...your not going 2 be able 2 do the top speeds for anyone of them unless u take them 2 the track. Be happy with what u have ,because there are alot of people who wish they could have both, but they can't afford them...
TopSpeed, lol? I have the flattest longest roads here in South Dakota and I still couldn’t get my scat to hit 180…piece of Junk. Bought a cat and only got that thing to 192. It’s getting mods currently i’m irritated with Dodge.
Out of everything you said I totally agree with you but I also like the fact you included if your pockets allow you.. Don’t go putting yourself in debt to fit in nothing wrong with the 5.7.
I took at 5.7 pursuit cause of very low mileage and it was in my price range. I plan on trading in before I get to 100k. I got it with 51k on it. Had it a year. Definitely want the 392. But still very pleased with the 5.7. I agree with you. I think it’s more of a graduation process type thing. You can’t just get in 392 never driven a Hemi before. That’s how they wrap themselves around a tree. Start with the 5.7, get used to taking care of it , driving it., the power , then upgrade. Some of these guys don’t even be ready for the 6.4. Next thing you know it’s for sale of copart all mangled up lol
Absolutely agree I have an R/T that’s what my budget allowed me to get. Added some modifications & I love it. But if I could afford a 6.4 scat best believe I would have gotten it.
@Knockout 360 I see where your coming from. And it's valid. I have just about every after market mod on my 15 challenger srt392. Even a whipple on a 6.2 hellcat shortblock, e85 etc. And I made a video and advise people to go hellact over my situation if HP is their goal. But I'm not about having a "stock" car. I will always mod, it's a fun process for some of us. Wrenching on my cars helps me understand how they operate and able to fix most of my own issues. And I'd rather mod a 392 now, then save for years to get a higher trim just to mod that. Most people, like myself, aren't that financially responsible. 😂. Props to you though
R/T is for somebody who wants to build a faster car & it’s good for mods compared to the scat it’s harder to mod and gain power. The fastest dodge car is the 5.7 because dodge came out with a drag strip car which is powered by a 5.7 which produces an impressive 1000-1200 hp
Wrong the Drag pack car.is powered by a 5.8.liter 354ci drag pack.engine that has a whipple.super charger on it.which.makes about 1500hp my guy but it's still far from being the most.powerful hemi. The 572 was the monster your looking for you also have the 426 and 440. And for modern street hemis it's not even a competition the 6.4 is still gonna more.powerful and .ore capable. But wait.your.gonna say won't take.boost. yeah neither will the 5.7 unless you get better pistons. Why because both the 6.4 and 5.7 right now come with hyperutectic trash ass pistons that the second they get any type of boost they shatter like glass. Also for boosted applications I recommend going from H-beam to I-beam. If you dont know what I'm talking about just stop while your ahead but don't get me wrong the 5.7 is a good motor just it's capability doesn't even come close to what the 6.4l Apache BGE block is capable of.
@@americanassassin001 wrong it’s powered by a 5.7 search it up and your right about the whipple supercharger but bottom line it’s still powered by a hemi and that proves my point that’s the most customizable engine from dodge that’s good for mods besides the hellcat
@AmericanAssassin ...as far as the 5.7 being able to take boost in a forced induction setup, Richard Holdener actually tested a 5.7 Hemi on a dyno with a Precision turbo and it made 1,121 h.p. @ 19.2psi on the factory stock bottom end... u should check out the video & he also said he didn't even do the test correctly & felt like he could have made even more power than what it put out... lotta ppl are sleeping on the 5.7 Hemi
Widebody is also different suspension, plus electrically dampened suspension with drive modes controlling those as well as electronic power steering. Definitely worth buying the factory version!
Yall hurt in the comments because you have an RT and missing the point smh the man literally said if your wallet can take it. He is not saying an RT is a bad decision, he is saying if you can afford a Scat but still choose to get an RT just to mod it, you probably shouldn't because it is not worth risk.
Had a friend who blew the torque converter under warranty. Dodge flashed the car and claimed the damage was from abuse. So, these cars come with burnout modes, zero to 60 times, etc. However, I wouldn't say you can run the shit out of these cars because when shit breaks, dealers will flash the car to see how you drive the car and look for reasons to repair the car outside the warranty. Be cautious.
I am very happy with my 5.7 I have a ram truck with a 5.7 pushing close to 140k with no issues I sold a 300 with well over 150k miles also no issues and that is the reason I bought a 2020 R/T. The 5.7 is a proven platform. Now as far as performance dodge built the 5.7 R/T for fuel economy and drivability. The 5.7 from the factory comes with a very restrictive header that is killing power but remember they didn't put a better flowing header on it the way they did the 6.4 and also another thing for the fuel economy the 5.7 R/T Differential gearing is set up for lower rpm fuel economy and a open differential for better drivability and control. I have changed out both my differential and headers and I am very very happy the way the car pulls and sounds and it looks good af. I am amazed when people talk crap about the 5.7 they fell to mention or don't do their research on why this was done. I have no problems running with scats while getting better gas mileage, easier to maintain, cheaper to insure and hell the 85% percent of the public don't even know the difference
1st. All the hate to everything that isn’t a 392 or hellcat is kinda interesting. Your 392 is slower than the Camaro ss and mustang 5.0. The 485 hp at 4400 lbs is not very Efficient. A Camaro ss with or without the 1LE package is faster and so is the mustang gt with or without the performance package. Power to weight, tires, gearing , all go into play when racing. My ATS V will surely smoke that ass without question . 2. Albeit the 5.7 might not have as much power as the 6.4 but the 5.7 has been tried and true for ages and is extremely tunable with a vast realm for after market parts. You can get a wide body RT which that wide body is quite laughable after seeing how it’s installed via adding body panels and not factory part of the real chassis like a z06 or grand sport corvette per se. 3. It seems like this is your first v8 coming from your v6 and it feels like a dream to you which it should. But if you go back and look at how you present yourself you seem narcissistic in that you have the best car around. You talk shit on every single car that’s not yours even though your beloved dodge slowly fades away as they gave up and caved into all electric. 4. A real car enthusiast will have respect and appreciate all cars for what they are built for and what they do. Maybe because I am a little older than you and have been building all cars from Evo to corvette and Cadillac V series cars and owning a charger myself. A car is what the owner makes of it and if they are happy with it. 5. I appreciate your passion and love for dodge which I have as well and for all car companies but take a step back and go to some cars and coffee and see what’s out there, go to an actual track and see what you can do against others stock and modded, learn to drive with some lessons from a professional and auto cross , I know I did and it helped and gave me a nice serving of humble pie. All I’m saying is don’t put false information out there and talk bad about other companies or people, especially enthusiasts. And you can bet you pants that the 2024 mustang gt and dark horse are coming and ford didn’t give up. Keep the petrol and manual transmission alive. Good luck and congrats and being back on the road.
There are several reasons to get an R/T over a scat pack. 1) It’s cheaper than a 6.4, 2) Better gas mileage than a 6.4, 3) Takes better to modifications than a 6.4 (because the 6.4 is pretty optimized from the factory, 4) Not targeted for theft as much as the 6.4. I have a 5.7 and I personally would never trade it in for a 392. I would go straight to a hellcat. The 5.7 sounds better than the 6.4 to me.
The cost is being able to say it’s built not bought it’s a more rewarding feeling of having something like a 5.7 you built up from stock rather than just going to buy a stock 6.4 and the most that is done to it is LEDs and fatter tires and a little tune or something some people would rather buy a 5.7 just off the fact that they wanna build it up to be better than a 6.4 etc, it shouldn’t be an obligation or rule to buy the better engine option just because it has more power when some people just wanna build a car not just buy it
My first challenger was a 5.7 shaker. I look into what I would have to do to get to scat pack level. Or just buy a scat pack shaker. Well the rt just gets 1 more mile per gallon than the scat. Wow. By the time I could modify the rt & still no way near the hp of the scat, I had no warranty. I just bought a scat shaker instead. I liked the rt but no contest.
@@Knockout360I love the scat and cats but prefer a truck and the only option we have on the truck side is a TRX and I definitely don't got $100,000 to put on a truck so the 5.7 with deleted muffler is my baby scat. Lol maybe one day I slap on a Whipple supercharger and upgraded my rear end to 3.92 gears or a 4.10 😂 gotta love a mopar either way
Had a 2017 5.7 for 3yrs got what my money could afford at the time, loved my 5.7 didn’t have any plans to mod the engine so I got my money right after 3 yrs & got me a 2021 fully loaded widebody Scat 485 hp is plenty of power for me I’m good!!😤💪🏾💨
@@392JMA7 No cap I’m happy for you bro but the only way you didn’t have negative equity is if you paid it with a big down payment, to me it’s only worth gettin a 6.4 if your not into modding your car in stock form it’s a 11 second car so you definitely can’t beat that it’s a good bang for your buck but the cost to get 110 more hp just isn’t worth it to me
I think your 100% right on a financial and peace of mind stand point, but the build process, the learning experience , wins ,losses ,engine failures, worries, and progression are very important , not everyone should just hop in the driver seat of 500+ hp muscle car with no prior experience or progression, and we see all to often what happens when they do. but their is also some to be said about knowing your car will always start get you where you want safely and not blow up and leave you with a payment and no warranty.
485hp at that weight for that price and STILL a N/A? I can, get the 5.7 and mod it yourself. Sounds like you are new to car modifications and body and engine work. Your car is still relatively stock and still looks like the average scat that you see in a Walmart parking lot, same air dam, side skirts,,same rear diffuser
i mean a fbo rt will get a stock scat pack and it is less then the price difference for both of those cars to fbo a rt. but i understand. people like building the cars tho
I just looking into buying a scatpack and watching this video made so much common sense. Like you stated, if you look at the prices, you gonna spend the same amount of money trying to modify the R/T.
Thank you. I don't get it. I had an RT for about a month but it didn't seem much faster than my Charger GT daily. Sold it for a SPWB Challenger and there's no comparison. Also WB from the factory has adaptive suspension, stiffer front springs and larger front/rear sway bars. Save for a 6.4 WB.
Not really a modded rt will blow the damn doors off a scar pack. Both are fun cars but they are boats that weigh 4400 lbs and power to weight and many other things matter. I love the dodges but when this reviewer constantly tries to talk shit on every other car like the 392 is some blessed by gods car it’s really not and they are super common. Especially when a mustang gt or Camaro ss are faster and handle better than a 392. I am a car enthusiast and have love for all cars as each vehicle is meant for something and to talk shit about everyone else isn’t cool. My ats v with a v6 TT will some the doors and has plenty of times a 392 as with my m3.
I had the choice over a scat and a loaded rt and I chose the rt. Price was only 4 grand off. Scat challenger and charger rt in f8 green. I wanted the charger. But I have much more room for growth when it comes down to my engine😈😈
Iight so knockout you said it yourself the 6.4 is topped out the 5.7 is not topped out to its max potential that's why those ppl are buying the 5.7 and it's full potential is more horses than the 6.4
Just got a 25K mile Widebody charger Mod list is a aftermarket ehxaust, Corvin 5 inch tips, JTL intake. KN filter, rear splitter new Brimbos and a nice set of pirellis.
Honestly I have a 2017 Daytona R/t. Coming back from my deployment most of the scatpacks were overpriced. I was specifically looking for a fully loaded v8 and when I had the chance to get a white 392 dayton someone bought it cash before the day I was suppose to buy it. Long story short I love my 5.7. Plan on supercharging and building it. Either way I like both.
First I say, get what your budget can handle!! I can’t emphasize that enough because I had to learn the hard way trust me you don’t want that. Second I say take all these videos about RT’s vs scat pack’s vs Hellcats’s with a grain of salt, because your decision on which car you pick all depends on what you want out of it. I am personally not someone who would be satisfied with stock power from any of the trim levels offered. I knew going into buying my RT that I was going to modify it and eventually void my factory warranty (which if you think about it the warranty will run out on every single one of these cars at one point unless you extend it) so with that being said if your fine with stock power get what you can afford which most people are content with stock, but if you aren’t just know your going your eventually void the warranty on any of these trim levels. Going fast doesn’t come without sacrifice. If you are into RT’s or just good mopar content period checkout my channel im currently building my 5.7 on there!!
I can definitely dig what you are saying regarding peace of mind. I agree with you on that piece 100%. Buy what you can afford now.. or save until you can get exactly what you want.
I remember when i told myself the RT was plenty for me until i finally realized that its just too slow to complete with almost anything. Proud 392 owner no regrets😎
You sound like my dad, tild me the same thing, you know what i listen to him,i have a 2008 6.1 srt now i have a 2016 hellcat and it will stay stock i love how it drives.
Mhmmmm I understand what he’s saying. I bought my 5.7 knowing that I didn’t want to be the fastest car on the street. I got it for the sound and looks. I plan on doing cosmetic mods but I could careless about racing. I will cut up occasionally on 85/485 though. If you’re the type to drive by a Camaro or Mustang and look in the mirror to see if they want smoke, then you should get a scat lol😂
I'm a 6.4 guy...love the 5.7, 6.2 and the leaguedary 6.1....the 6.4 pistons are weak I plan on have a built 6.4 or stroker 7.0L 426..like my pops. Hemi's run through my family's blood. But his a 6.1 7.0L stroker........As a mopar gear head...some of us just truly love the 5.7 or 6.4.....and are willing to go the extra mile. To prove that these choked non S/C Hemi's...can run with the best of engine's....I for one love both 5.7(300Cammedfbo) and soon to be Built 7.0L Jeep SRT(6.4)....I tell folks do you homework and research...before you buy...know what your getting into...I can tell you every flaw about the jeep SRT from 2012-2022 from water pump issues to shifter problems 2014-15 (recall)..small upgrades and the year they happened etc......point is, do your homework, know your pockets, save for the best platform of your choice...most importantly love YOUR Mopar......It's us against the EV Idiots....if yall buy that banshee...nvm for another day
See some of us RT guys not trying to be the fastest car at the track we like the looks we like V8 hemi horsepower and we like the sound of them pipes that's loud but not all the time
The ONLY reason I got is this, I'm a car guy, I bought a RT (23 last call edition) with the specific intention of building it myself. Granted, mine is a super track pack so I got 385hp stock but the 5.7 responds better to modification and there are a lot more power play options. Of course I wouldn't recommend the average person to build one up but I like to have my own hands in my cars.
I’ve been waiting to buy a wide body scatpack for the last 2 years. Finally after great consideration and watching a bunch of your videos I’ve decided against buying one. Too much heat and too much drama with them. ✌🏽
I agree knockout. Get what you could afford. I have a 2021 narrow body charger scat 6.4 and I love it. I drove a R/T 5.7 and to be real with you. I love the 6.4 better then the 5.7. But at the end of the day. Get what you could afford.
From what I was told it's cheaper and easier to mod a 5.7 and it holds boost better than the 6.4 the main reason why Dodge made the hellcat a 6.2. You can add the wide body kit yourself and you can do it for cheaper than factory. Sometimes it comes out better than the factory depending on who's doing the work. And Hellcat wide body rims or scat pack rims, come a dime a dozen in the junk yards around here 😂😂😂
true but if you can afford a scat or cat it would be better to get it. Scats and cats are just a level up unless you wanna go and mod out a rt (good luck). BUT if you want a mopar and all you want is a rt go and get it. Or just buy an rt if you really want a rt 💀
I'll give you 1.7 million reasons. The 5.7 will cost you $310/month less (for a narrow body). If you invest that over a 40-year career, that's the difference between being dead broke and having $1.7 million dollars in the bank. For what? The difference in real-world driving between the two is negligible.
I agree with you in all of this. I still have my 2015 R/T charger and still looking great I have a few make up like front spoiler, black top wrap 265 all around ( I was planning 275) and K/N air, and a paddle comander. I will never transform my car to a 392 or anything else. I was thinking a hood but I decided to just leave it as it is. Planning to upgrade chances are I my stick with a 5.7 very reliable engine so far. So far, just 53,599 in 8 years. Top speed drive 122 (I know I know that ain't shit) but after getting two big tickets I chilling now😁
The scat widebody has a bunch of suspension tweaks. It isn't just power but handling. I believe adaptive suspension is default with the widebody. Bigger sway bars. I feel like the 392 scat widebody is the sweet spot in value.
I’m glad you touched on this topic..I personally feel like an optioned out 5.7 is the best bang for your buck..key phrase, bang for your buck..to have a loaded V8 with power on demand that isn’t terribly expensive is a win..so I think those folks are right..as for me, it’s too many damn Chargers and challengers on the road for me so I got the SRT Jeep..could have gotten the 5.7 Grand Cherokee but just not enough power for me, could have gotten a Hawk but too damn expensive lol..felt like I got the best bang for my buck and it works for me..I tell folk get what you want while not going broke..but I do agree, get the most for what you can afford too..them 5.7 Chargers/Challengers are not cheap by any means so might as well spen dat extra money if the 392 is what you desire..good video 💯
I bought my rt at 19 fast forward 7.5 years and I sold it and got myself a hellcat, can’t rush into financial decisions and only get what you can afford
I've had both so I can speak on this the 392 is nice but overpriced sorry but it is. To me it's still getting slapped by a SS and a 5.0 all day. I have a RT now and like it better than my scat. I would never say I wouldn't get one again but the prices on the 392's are stupid
At the end of the day 5.7 or 6.4 hemi "fully forged" internals is what make a hemi engine more powerful and more durable and they last longer and a good drivetrain

People please be mindful of your financial situation when watching a video like this and you are looking for info via YT. A lot of people got scats and cats to feed their ego. Don't let someone influence you into a bad choice financially. We're talking no less than 5 yrs of constant expensive bills month after month. The gas is going to be a killer if you don't have a back up daily and we know how gas prices like to do.. nothing wrong with any of these trim levels 5.7, 6.4, 6.2 .. it's all about can you afford to feed your ego cause we not getting these kind of cars to be humble and quiet.
I got a 2022 charger rt. Enough power for me and all I’ve done to it is lowered it. Not going to mod the engine. Keeping the miles low on it, I’m at 3,500. Man whatever happened to just having a v8 under your car was enough?
I agree with you if what’s important to a person is performance. I don’t think that it’s always about affordability. It’s sometimes about laziness. People don’t research enough. You can find a 392 that’s just as affordable as a well optioned RT. You may even have to get a 2014 SRT8 which has the 6.4. People who want the performance just need to do their homework..
5.7 is a lot more suited for building. Scat Pack is much better if your staying stock. I build all my own stuff but 6.4 isn’t as easily buildable. Stock Widebody Scat Packs are some of the best, straight out of the factory. Bilstein active dampers is where alot of the 6,000 goes.
Well that's just like me I had a V6 before as well a charger I had a 2013 V6 that time I did not know a Scat Pack SRT wide body car was going to come out I don't think nobody knew those cars was going to exist so you can't nobody or yourself because you got a V6 at that point you did not know that kind of car was going to come out
Man you hurt my feelings. I've done exactly what you're describing to my 392 and am suffering the EXACT consequences. Last car I'll ever mod this heavily. SMH
So I take it y'all never check that guy RT life he got a 5.7 he built that thing every bit of 455 hp it's a blue RT it's not quite fast as a Scat Pack but $455 hp damn
I can honestly say that I’m on the fence and the reason is this I own RT is actually paid for so I have no car note I could go trade up and get a great value for my car and then dump it into a scat pack but I could also just take it to a shop which is close by me that does nothing but Mopar cars and install a stage three cam and some more bells and whistles and just have a fun project car to work with at the end of the day I think it just depends on your personal choice. Nothing wrong with either one
I’m 19 and got a rt and I’m happy, don’t let ppl convince you into a bad financial decision wait your turn , I’ll have a scat or cat eventually

I agree. You have to buy within your budget without settling. When I first bought my 5.7, they were trying to sell me a 3.6 because I didn't have car buying credit. Got my stuff together, came back 6 months, bought a brand new 5.7 with every option I wanted.

I’ve had both. Right now in 392WB. Can honestly say the 5.7L performance was pretty close to the 6.4L. But, I definitely feel more power with the 392 and it hits corners so much harder.

Lol
I see what you're saying. But it depends. If you're getting a 5.7 daytona with the Alcantara/leather memory cooled/heated seats, upgraded suspension, 20X9 wheels, adapted cruise/lane assist, Mopar intake/daytona specially tuned 345 with that deep exhaust note over a base scat with wack cloth seats then IDK!

But still very pleased with the 5.7. I agree with you. I think it’s more of a graduation process type thing. You can’t just get in 392 never driven a Hemi before. Why because both the 6.4 and 5.7 right now come with hyperutectic trash ass pistons that the second they get any type of boost they shatter like glass. Also for boosted applications I recommend going from H-beam to I-beam.

I love my 2016 /3.6 bought brand new. Now I’m in 2023 scat pack . Mannnnn I love it!
Wow.

Iight so knockout you said it yourself the 6.4 is topped out the 5.7 is not topped out to its max potential that's why those ppl are buying the 5.7 and it's full potential is more horses than the 6.4
Just got a 25K mile Widebody charger
Mod list is a aftermarket ehxaust, Corvin 5 inch tips, JTL intake. KN filter, rear splitter new Brimbos and a nice set of pirellis.
Buy what you want fellas; if you roll an RT you'll get a thumbs up from me in my Scat Challenger WB.
Sold my 5.7 6 months after getting to get a Jeep SRT!! 392, just do not ask the question. Get the 392 period.
The R/T is definitely the more pragmatic choice, so I understand why someone would recommend it over a Scat Pack
To prove that these choked non S/C Hemi's...can run with the best of engine's....I for one love both 5.7(300Cammedfbo) and soon to be Built 7.0L Jeep SRT(6.4)....I tell folks do you homework and research...before you buy...know what your getting into...I can tell you every flaw about the jeep SRT from 2012-2022 from water pump issues to shifter problems 2014-15 (recall)..small upgrades and the year they happened etc......point is, do your homework, know your pockets, save for the best platform of your choice...most importantly love YOUR Mopar......It's us against the EV Idiots....if yall buy that banshee...nvm for another day
Amen!!!! Saw Racer X say that 5.7 and upgrades. I want that warranty! 6.4 all day!!
I 100% agree. WB SPs are amazing beautiful cars but buy what you can afford.
And Hellcat wide body rims or scat pack rims, come a dime a dozen in the junk yards around here 😂😂😂
let people buy what they wanna buy bro
true but if you can afford a scat or cat it would be better to get it. Scats and cats are just a level up unless you wanna go and mod out a rt (good luck). BUT if you want a mopar and all you want is a rt go and get it. Or just buy an rt if you really want a rt 💀
Thank you bro, finally someone understands
I agree 100% I’m just telling people that if they really want a scat or cat, they should wait and save and get that and nothing less…
For real. How dare you offer your advice. Id prefer to learn the hard way after spending $50k
😂
I'll give you 1.7 million reasons. The 5.7 will cost you $310/month less (for a narrow body). If you invest that over a 40-year career, that's the difference between being dead broke and having $1.7 million dollars in the bank. For what? The difference in real-world driving between the two is negligible.
btw there is a law that they need to prove that “your mod” caused failure to the car. and if it doesn’t cause failure they have to warranty it
Man that’s going to be hard to prove bro
@@Knockout360 yea i work at a dodge dealership and i own a 5.7 so when i start modding i’ll see how it goes. i’ll be swapping my diff out first
Miss your intro driving through Charlotte…bring it back for a couple posts…best for Mopar posts…
Top speed drive 122 (I know I know that ain't shit) but after getting two big tickets I chilling now😁
That's why I didn't modify my 5.7. I'm good with my power. It's to expenses to replace transmissions and rear ends.
Don’t have a mopar but it recently purchased a 2016 A3 learned this the hard way was trying to make it look more like a S3/RS3 but I’m just gonna pay it off and just buy an RS3 figured I say this because similar situation u mentioned
Man whatever happened to just having a v8 under your car was enough?
its not worth the cost cause you sinking money into reengineering the entire car to drive like a 6.4
I agree with you if what’s important to a person is performance.
Got valid points, but when it boils down to it all these cars are the same just different motors, Get whichever one you can afford and call it a day.
Just traded my 5.7 Daytona in for a 2023 widebody scat. Can't wait to break her in.
I drive my R/T like it's a Hellcat and most of the time when I'm driving it, I'm smoking everything I run against...
@@JVeleta11 ...nah bruh, I'm talking Challengers, Chargers, BMWs, WRXs, anything...
Well that's just like me I had a V6 before as well a charger I had a 2013 V6 that time I did not know a Scat Pack SRT wide body car was going to come out I don't think nobody knew those cars was going to exist so you can't nobody or yourself because you got a V6 at that point you did not know that kind of car was going to come out
Order the last year of Hellcats or just buy a like-new used 22’?
Keep it Pushing Knockout! Love what you do bro 💯
You’re right knockout 360 completely 🔥🔥🔥💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
I agree 100% I’m just telling people that if they really want a scat or cat, they should wait and save and get that and nothing less…
Knockout dropping that vid with the glizzy on em.. I can't do it bro
Crazy world we live in bro.. 😂
Yea for scats and cats lol..I never had to look at my mirrors to see if ppl creeping up on me bro..knock on wood. Stay safe bro frfr
Same frame of mind. I live by "buy it nice or buy it twice".
