He had to go about 1/2 mile before he could turn around and dad never slowed. Dad turned down the road to the shop and we drove in the garage and closed the door and waited. We switched cars and went back to town and the officer was cruising the parking lot at a shopping center and then drove off. (The State Police Post was just up the road.) Weeks later, one of the county officers my dad knew said there was a call that went out about a speeding Monarch driven by a guy wearing a baseball cap. The state and county hated each other (the state police still gets referred to as the "Grey gods.") so, the county officer told the state officer that they got outrun by a 6-cylinder Monarch. They never told it was my dad. Then dad told me NEVER do that. GREAT VIDEO!
