I give the cop credit for holding on as long as he did but them CLS 550's are definitely sleepers and with the right driver even if the cop was in a unmarked Hellcat cruiser hes not catching that Benz. That 4matic system is brilliant especially in them high speed corners that Charger wouldn't be able to keep up.

Theres one trick from back in the Dukes of Hazzard days that these guys should do... Wire a kill/breaker switch to their brake lights so when they press the brakes the tail lights dont come on. Using the High Beams trick is a great one but adding the brake light kill switch would make them almost invisible at night during these king of manuvers.

That’s was a 392 Durango.
This isn't a AMG. This is a CLS550. You can see it pretty clear paused at 5:37 and make full screen as it's hard to see. But it's clear. CLS550. Those are 402hp and 443lbs tq. The CLS 63 AMG would have gapped this trooper well beyond what this driver did. The AMG model is 577 hp and 590 tq. Either of these cars are quick.

That's a 2012-2014 CLS 550. It's a 4.7 L V8 twin turbo. I know because I own one with a stage 2 Renntech tune. It puts down 560 hp and 700 lbs of torque. It has the speed limiter removed and a top speed of 180 mph. Plus it's AWD and has a very tight turning radius. It would destroy a scatback and a 392 in a chase.

Imma be honest with because i have two CLS 550's, rwd and 4matic. The only reason hes able to even see what that car looked like is because theyre governed at 130 and that motor has a shit ton more power. Also the motor size is slightly different with these year CLS550's you either got the rwd 4.6 or 4matic 4.7....fun cars, fast cars but expensive toys to own; if that thing dont have a hellcat badge on it dont mess with these if you see one, ive knocked off too many scats,camaros and 5.0's until i max out on speed.....this woulda been a dope as commercial for Mercedes tho lol

The car was a Mercedes-Benz W218 CLS550 with the M278 4.7 litre BiTurbo V8, stock 402 HP and 443 lb-ft/tq. The car pulls so well stock and I can't imagine how it is tuned. Not an AMG exactly, but the AMG M157 5.5 litre BiTurbo V8 with 518/550/577 HP (different packages) and 590 lb-ft/tq in the CLS63 AMG and other cars is an up-tuned version of this engine, both very great performance engine and can be done right with tuning
The real difference between these two is that they bored out the 4.7 and has a larger stroke thus increasing the displacement. Then they just added a little bit bigger turbos which thus increased turbo psi. The other real main difference is that the front suspension is on springs not air suspension.
