Just got a ‘23 Challenger Scat Pack, and learning some of the computer from your videos. I’m 59 years old, and learned from carburetors, and tuning the distributor lol. This is the fourth Challenger I have had. Back in the 80s I had a ‘70 R/T SE 440 Six Pack, and a ‘71 convertible with a 318. My third Challenger was a ‘13 3.6 Liter, and I really like that car. Now I have the above mentioned, and still in break in process. Thank you for your informative videos.
Ok I just got a widebody and this setting is a shift light set up. This does not change your shift points. It changes when your shift light comes on while driving with paddles.

the shift light rpm does not change your shift points in auto mode. it lights up your instrument cluster with a red light to remind you to shift while you're in manual mode.
Can you use launch control bcuz you can set the launch rpms and then set the shift points for as it runs with it in tandem?

So with changing shift light your still in auto not manual shift mode right? If that’s the case I’m not sure why it’s called shift light when it’s just changing the shift point in the rpms.
This guy is super confused. He thinks line lock is launch control and he thinks the shift light settings control shift points for the trans. There is nothing changing with how and when the trans shifts. Track mode to sport and so on will have its own shift points. But changing the shift light points is not when the trans shifts. Its for when you use the paddles, and the light reminds you to shift.

Drop your psi to like 22-25psi when your gonna do some digs then of course fill em back up when your done

These aren't shift points it is the shift light that comes up on your evic lol. The fact that it took him 5 mins to find the setting shows you how much he knows about it.
What changes the shift point is the Drive Mode setting - Street, Sport, Track, track mode of course giving the highest RPM shift points.
I have a 2020 392 Challenger Scat Pack with all the SRT performance pages, SRT dashboard and SRT drive modes but i dont see the SHIFT LIGHT option? I hit race options and only see the line lock and launch options?

How do you get the srt mode option on your screen
Dude need to learn to control his foot. Quit gassing the shit outta the car out da whole. Launch control is for the track basically. Look bruh. Drop your tires down to 28psi. Do a small burnout. Footbrake your car. No launch control. Stall to 1200. When the flagger drops his arms. Let off the brake without giving the car to much gas. Once you get to about 30 mph right b4 it gets to 2nd gear...full throttle it. Tire pressure is everything. You fight a losing battle with the factory tire pressure

Or if you're on a street or even a drag strip with worn tires paddle shift up to 2nd gear. 1st gear is for a prepped track and good tires.

Just a heads up, it only changes the shift light. Not anything with the transmission itself. So unless your in manual mode and shifting yourself, it won’t change anything.

Yeah that's right, pretty much that was just all track mode working as intended, I noticed it likes to be finnicky at times, there's times where it'd aggressively shift right away out of 1st and 2nd gear before even reaching a high rpm, and others where it takes its time revving right up then shifting
Knockout 360 have you tried rolling drag mode when your racing. I have a 19 scat pack and it works great.

I wouldnt worry about launch control you’re better off just braking hard and build rpm yourself. Also don’t put the suspension on track it’s better to use street so the car squats and digs for traction.

They are quicker because they are geared different 10speed vs 8speed...their shift points are quicker therefore they get out quicker. The 392 is definitely heavier also.

Put shift points at 6200 rpm .... my 71 Mach 1 4spd hauled ass and beat a lot a sport car and Camaros. Your black ride sounds really sweet as well .

I believe this feature only adjusts when the shift LIGHT comes on NOT the points at which the car shifts

So...
1.) Change your Drive Mode settings to Track Mode + Track Traction
2.) Avoid Launch Control (hold the brake pedal and build RPM manually)
3.) Shift around 5750 RPM

Anyway soo, firstly: does setting the shift light just change when the car shifts up automatically? Second, are you pinnin the pedal to the carpet or are you slowly depressing the accelerator,, oorrrr are you stomping it letting off then putting it back to the floor quickly. OK now finally or thirdstheses (lol) are you using line lock as a means to launch because ive done that thinkin i was on launch control and tore off fast as a muuhhh
Im very new to the platform and to V8's and muscle in general, but that being said, i am used to having tons of features and drive modes, i came from boosted 4 cylinder cars and my last was a Ford Focus RS super fun and quick but light and agile compared to feeling like im driving a cinderblock on wheels

It should do that in track mode. My 2020 Challenger Scat Widebody will do it when I'm really getting on it in track mode.
Track puts your transmission into the most aggressive mode - I think it changes the engine a bit as well. There are a lot of settings that aren’t documented in owners manual
transmission learns to your driving habits, if you drive aggressive a lot it will adjust and be more aggressive.

You keep saying shift points but what you are doing is changing the shift ligh rpm points, that doesn't shift your gears that's when the shift light comes on to tell you to shift though
Bump it up a bit and give it a whirl, I hope they realize changing the shift points doesn't change anything except when the shift light comes on. Has nothing to do with when the car actually shifts.....

If you’re driving in automatic mode I don’t think changing the shift light changes anything. It’s just a visual indicator for when you’re paddle shifting right?
