There are many competitors. The issue is a lot of the current "car" community deems anything less than a hellcat slow no matter what. People get tired of having their car shit on so they go elsewhere.

True. I work at a used car dealer. I sold a 2018 Scat Pack Charger with 40k miles for $44,900. I bought my NEW 2021 Scat Pack charger for $41,000 at 0% for 72 months. My payment on a new one was $200 less than the one I sold. 🤣
It’s actually because there’s a car shortage rn for dealerships. A computer chip sold in every car is hard to come by rn, which has left many brand new cars sitting in garages waiting for these computer chips. The used car market as well as the brand new car market has inflated massively so if you’re going to sell. Sell now. This is the reason the C8 corvette was originally planned to be around $60k but dealers are marking it up to $120k

I’m mid 40s. The scat pack is a cool car for a young guy. Dodge has done well stuffing truck engines into moderate heavy sedans and such. But from a luxury perspective and someone who can afford more luxury it’s not even on the radar. I drove a scat pack and it sounded amazing but the interior materials are suspect to include exterior quality control. I love to see the youngsters rolling around scaring woman and children with those exhaust though.
Appreciate the mention my guy! 🤝 I explain exactly why I’m getting rid of mine in the vid I put out on my channel.. but for me one of the main things is because I want a manual vehicle again. I love my widebody charger. Hands down one of my favorite looking cars and one of the most fun cars coming straight out the factory with all that torque.. but I miss manual trans too much and I want to add certain modifications that just ain’t worth the power to money spent ratio when it comes to the 392 platform. I definitely agree with everything you said as well as far as them giving us the basically the same car for the past 7 years or so. I love the look and everything but 7 years?! Come on Dodge lol. LouieXIII did you say you wanted a manual vehicle again. Cadillac is coming out with a STANDARD manual 2022 CT5-V Blackwing (668HP) at the end of the summer. Automatic trans is now OPTIONAL on that car. I've got the Cadillac 2019 CTS-V (640HP/Automatic). Check it out my friend. At least Cadillac knows how to update their vehicles.

I have a Tor-red 2020 charger scatpack widebody, the last “muscle” i owned before this car was a 2004 cobra I bought in 2007, one owner. I had my son in 2007 as well and held on to the cobra as long as I could, sold it in 2010 not practical with my son. Had many cars in between, now my son is 13, he wanted me to buy the hellcat but we discussed it lol. I couldn’t justify paying for the extra horse power I’d never use. 392 is fast enough for the street identical to hellcat as well. To each their own of course but for us this car is perfect. Comfortable, interior space, trunk space. It satisfied my midlife crisis as responsibly as possible and my son is still all about the scat widebody. It’s an older design, yes. We now have a refined platform with most of the bugs worked out and the widebody is a nice refresh. I believe the car still looks good and will continue to. With the changes at FCA and SRT, this could be the end of the V8 as we know it, however exciting things are probably coming in the near future that may not be in the niche of v8 muscle. These scats and cats widebody or not could become desirable in the future. I’m holding on to mine.
They say demand is so high they can't provide the current demand, and they say they don't have the needed chips to make new vehicles so it's been paused, I believe it's deeper than that. Honda announced it will only sell electric vehicles fully by 2040, and GM also announced it will sell only fully electronic vehicles by 2035. These vehicles will be iconic in the short near future.I truly believe the other manufacturers will follow these companies as well.

I have a 2010 challenger 3.5 I’ve been cooling out with for about a decade and all the points you touched on are reasons why I haven’t upgraded yet. I love dodge but the c7 stingray and the 2016 and up camaro ss sound like some fun options to build with too.

I agree, they haven’t really changed the interior that much, but there are slight differences from your v6 and the widebody scat. The flat bottom wheel is different, it has paddle shifters, and srt and launch buttons.

Great video and topic. Totally agree with you on the fact that it’s been way too long since Dodge did any type of redesign on these Scats. I own a 2020 Widebody and it is hands down my favorite car. Only thing I would swap it out for is a Widebody Hellcat. Probably same color, stripes and everything. It’s that good of a car but would like to see a refresh soon. Also market is so crazy for these cars that it’s hard to not be tempted to sell to turn a profit.
I planned on buying a Hellcat Redeye but reconsidering due to the interior. If I spend 80-90k on a Mopar I need that Ram screen and better interior.

Great video and information. I personally dislike the small production numbers on some of the vehicles that are sporting the Hellcat power plant. Catering to the collectors really makes us smaller guys a little pissed. Having so many models with the 392 power plants is awesome and can help keep people interested in the brand even over the years and type of family. Would like longer runs and more production numbers on the Hellcat models and Demon like platforms or the fantom Ghoul. Anyway stay safe and power on 👊🏼👍🏻💪🏼

I got the 2020 Challenge Blacktop edition, V6, because I have a 80 mile round trip to the office and kid in grad school. Got mine for just $26k. Over $10k less than the SRT392 edition.

Bought my SPWB Charger in September 2020. Dealer called me last week and offered me $5K more than I paid for it including taxes and fees. I almost pulled the trigger but then thought, no way, I love this car. It’s so fun to drive. Yep - the styling has been around a while, but I don’t care. It’s how it drives and 10 years from now when all new cars are electric it will be a classic.

A lot of people are selling because they realize the power to price ratio isn’t that great. 52k on average for 430hp roughly but the mod options are limited. AND they’re literally everywhere nothing unique.

I've always been dodge. But I came up on the 03/04 Cobra Terminator. I got lucky and got one for $20,000, and added a VMP blower, tune, dyno and got 675hp and 650tq for $6500. Now she's old, but reliable. But I will always love the charger, 68, 69, 70 charger hemi

Love my 2021 scatpack wide body. I like the different headlights. I love the long bar taillights. Performance pages, line lock and all that. Had a Ford Focus st before. This thing is just so fun to drive. Can drift any and everywhere I want. Definitely sit on this until I’ve done everything in it I can and then maybe upgrade

I jumped out of my 17 scat challenger for a 2021 lt1 camaro, I loved my scat pack and miss it, and most likely will find another scat in the future. Overall my warranty was almost up and I felt it was time to test the waters with chevy, I'm a car enthusiasts at heart, and have no regrets in the change to chevy. I actually like my camaro and respect it like my scat, it's alot of power.. But when it comes down to mods the hemi is a lot more pricey, and the weight is also significant to other cars on the market, but in the end you do what you will with your money, and I grew up a chevy guy my whole life, and I bought a 392 and I can tell you from the heart that, the dodge srt brand has a fan here for life. Thanks for the vid and just cause I sold it does not mean I completely walked form the brand, it's a great car

Love the channel... So I think you hit on something important about how the Challenger / Charger line feels old and or tired. And I can see that, if you had gotten something from 2015 on up. But there is still a lot of the 2008-2014 group that are just now wanting to upgrade and or a person new to the brand, and I think that plays into some of what Dodge does. My self, I went from a Challenger 2013 RT Blacktop to a 20 Scat, so for me the upgrade and interior was new. But I totally get what you are saying. I think the other thing is that, currently Dodge service and repair is not seen well overall. By myself, but by the community as a whole ( or from whom I have talked to ) My Challenger 20 Scat was purchased a little over 4 months ago. Since that time, it has been to 3 different dealers, one of them over 100 miles away and spent close to 7 weeks in and out, to diagnose a rear end issue that started right after I got it home. It took me having to open a case with Dodge to get it in and keep it there so they would fix it. As of now I am waiting on parts for a new rear end diff and some transmission work. My point with this is, I agree that the Challenger / Charger line needs to be younger, both inside and out. They also need to fix issues that are on the other side of the sale. They need to be better at working at keeping customers along with getting the new ones in as well. Keep up the great work, love your videos !

Not alot of people keep chargers or challengers for more than 2 years, people are also realizing that other than the initial torque scatpacks are not really too customizable, handles bad, and are now the official "thuig" car.

I totally get what your saying ,I just sold my Hellcat for a couple of reasons ,but that was one of them.I feel like im under the microscope when in that car and im a cdl driver and cant get caught up in that BS. Ive been pulled over twice in that car once doing 63 in a 50 and the other doing 49 in a 35 ,meanwhile for 5 years driving my ford escape back and fourth to work ive never been pulled over and everyday im doing 75 plus ,But in the Hellcat i get stopped,thankfully once they come up to the window and see im 48 years old and have a cdl ive been just told beautiful car ,have a nice day ,but i dont need that right now plus with the market so out of control i figured id sell it i got $4,500 more then i paid for it and had 15k fun miles.I will definitely get another one at some point tho
@@frankie072 exactly same thing happened to me, I sold my 19 wide body hellcat last week. I’m a 48 year old project manager with more than 50 employees. I think after owning the hellcat every body looking different to me look like I’m a hooligan!! Of course hellcat is a fun car to drive but I hope they change the design very soon.

Man I feel you, the interior is damn near the same on the 2011 redesign, only thing different is the shift column and maybe the steering wheel.
Same thing with the 300C SRT and dodge magnum SRT back in the days I've seen one of those cars almost every day..lol
I got mine new in Oct 19. I had drooled over one for several years before that. Good thing is about not much changing is that brings the price way down on these. I was able to pick mine up for 39k signed on the line with plus group and extended warranty. Now just being curious I looked up what carvana is offering and they are offering me 41k right now.

Here in Montreal, Canada, the V8 chargers and challengers are rare. And when you see one, it’s a V6 most of the time. I have a ‘19 Destroyer Grey Challenger R/T and ordered a ‘21 F8 green Charger Scatpack (narrow body) 3 months ago. Can’t wait to receive it. What makes it exciting is that you rarely see true muscle cars here.

Went from a 2019 Scat to a 2019 Gt350...the Scat just didn't do it for me, I like rowing my own gears.

I feel you bro came into the Dodge game with a 09 Magnum then skip to a 13 Challenger then 16 charger V6 got to get that scat pack. Hellcat is a little too steep for my pockets but a scat will do just fine I just like aggressive look of the Chargers and Challengers and the customizable aspect of them no other sedan out there really looks good to me unless you step your money game up and go to a Benz I'm just trying to stay in my Lane Scat for me!
I didn’t get rid of mine on purpose. Was t boned going through an intersection on a green light. Totaled my car in January 2021. I had a 2016 and it was the same as your interior as you described. I also had issues with my side panels peeling back inside the interior so keep an eye out for that. The same interior and cheaper materials is probably why they can get away with making it a 42k car as I paid.
I just brought my second scatpack which is now a widebody. I brought another one because since the hemi motors came back out in 2003 in the Ram I have been hook ever since. I have owned a lot of the new hemis over the years and I love my scatpack. So yes it is a old platform but I still love it. I own a Charger widebody scatpack now.

If You go FBO with the new 5.0 & SS you are able to keep up or even smoke hellcats. The 392 doesn't respond to mods like its competitors and I think people are realizing that. If you want to go really fast u need a different platform.

Keep your car, man and be happy with it. As a full size sedan / muscle car, the Charger is a king of a road. I plan to keep my '14 R/T as long as possible, and for now it's already 8-th year with it. More power will be appreciated though...
I went from 14 charger v6, to 15 charger R/T, to 19 Charger Hellcat, to 2019 Ford Ranger (lifted mud tires looked sick), back to a 2021 Scat Charger. I don't think people are leaving for these reasons. The infotainment systems aren't the same in my 2021 Scat as they were in my fully loaded 15 R/T. They are different.

Yeah I agree with you bro. I love the exterior but the interior, although nice, needs an upgrade for sure. I like what they did with the Durango interior.
Speaking from a business perspective, it's one of the most reliable cars out, your getting what you paid for engine and transmission built superior. What more could you ask for it, it's design to get you from A to B and back. Majority of their consumers aren't getting it to race, but the car looks cool and stands the test of time. If people learn how to drive the maybe they wouldn't be flying off the racks. The car sells like hot cakes so if it ain't broke don't fix it. It's like the Era of the Impalas' and Caprices' maybe Chevy should have kept them and the would still be on top. However my dad raised me on Chevys so I wouldn't be caught dead in a Ford, but Chevy doesn't even have anything inspiring to compete with Dodge in my opinion. I'm even a fan of the Monte Carlo but these HEMIs are just the TRUTH out here in these streets. Small changes in the looks every so often is all Dodge needs to stay on top until someone can take the reigns.

I traded my 19 scatpack charger in for my 21 Camaro 2ss. The Camaro is way more technologically advanced. It's faster, way better interior, and the electronic differential, and magnetic shocks are awesome. Not missing my charger scatpack at all
My neighbor had one of those small peckerwood boys Camarillo SS and he traded it in for a Scat Pack. Stated his Camaro was slow and felt slow mad driving it was just plain boring😬! Now with his 2020 ScatPack he’s always flying with the entire family in the car, up and down the road. I am very happy for them.

Crazy bro I had a 19’ challenger scat and I traded it in for a 21’ 2ss as well! Mostly because it was the car I truly wanted tho. The fact that the 10 spd makes it a bit quicker is also a plus💪

Had a wrangler rubicon and wanted something a little faster but not too extra since it would be a daily. I initially wanted a 392 charger but I swear everybody had one so I ended up with a V6 Grand Cherokee 75th anniversary edition for a little less than the 392. Took the extra change and dumped it into mods and now I’m pushing out enough power to give an R/T a run for its money. Couldn’t find an srt grand Cherokee or a 5.7 so I had to settle for the 6 but that limited edition color sold me.
I thought about buying a wide body charger but what stopping me is exactly what you stated in this video.
