    I am a new immigrant to Winnipeg. I did spend 8 years for high school then university in Toronto and Regina SK in the 80s. I drove an 1975 V8 350 Z28 then a 1977 V8 400 Trams Am (oh i loved American muscle cars) They were around 3k each and they never needed a tow truck. I drove them all the way from Toronto to Vancouver and from Regina to Toronto many times and never had issues. Once back to canada I have been thinking and ready to buy a Ram truck or a Wrangler. I didn't realize that cars and trucks were so overpriced and I thought the prices were normal. I have watched most of your recent videos about the car/truck market in canada and have learned that if i pay 75k+ for a RAM or Wrangler then i am just a moron. Thank you soooo much for your videos! ❤❤

    • @markholubetz
      @markholubetz  Месяц назад

      Thank you so much for the support and great to hear from you. Sounds like you have enjoyed a lot of what Canada has to offer. I would not be so hard on about the pricing but it really boils down to what you can afford. Yes, prices are extremely high, sadly much of it has to do with poor Canadian dollar exchange with the US and much has other reasons like corporate greed, etc, but there are times where you can get better deals. If you need a set of wheels, I would wait till holiday seasons or later in the year when next years models start coming out, which makes the current year a little more value in most cases. You will also have a much better bargaining chip too so be prepared to sit a negotiate and don’t pay asking, ever. This whole market adjustment fee that was happening is simply unacceptable and I would never buy a vehicle in those conditions. Have a wonderfull week and thanks for the support.

    New vehicles are way over-priced and will never last, with undersized turbo-stressed engines, will be lucky to get to 100K miles before major repairs. Or if it has a hybrid or EV battery, good luck on getting ten years of life before the battery pack is kaput, essentially totaling the vehicle. All very poor investments that quickly build negative equity.

I knew better to pay the extra mark up fees the dealerships were charging during the pandemic. Paying over MSRP for a car does not make sense. Why? Cars and trucks go down in value.
