    • @KRich408
      @KRich408 5 месяцев назад +3

      @@Kawasaki750triple2stroke I don't think that's legal in the USA the only reason Tesla can is because they are EVa the laws were not written for electric. I'm sure Dealership licenses are limited by law for ICE vehicles. Nobody except a licensed dealer can buy new vehicles from the manufacturer.

    • @LancelotLink1
      @LancelotLink1 5 месяцев назад

      @@KRich408 Yes that's true but the laws need to change. Back in the day when cars were unreliable, they needed service & maintenance a lot more often then they do now so having a local place for service was essential. Also with no internet, customers needed to be educated and given options before buying a car, hence a physical sales office made sense.
      States earn sales taxes from auto dealers. The bulk of these taxes (89 percent) are generated by new car dealerships, those with whom manufacturers deal directly. As a result, car dealerships, and especially local or state car dealership associations, have been able to exert influence over local legislatures. This has resulted in a set of state laws that almost guarantee dealership profitability and survival.
      In 2024. most cars need little maintenance except oil change, tire rotation and brake change for the first 50K miles. Electric cars don't even need oil changes. The internet gives the user all the information they need and in most cases the users are more informed than even car salesman.
      I do not need a car salesman to help me buy a new car. We can't keep supporting something wrong just because it feeds one or two people and makes the owner and GM filthy rich. The laws need to change.

The Constitution establishes a common defense to defend the United States. Last I looked, Ukraine hadn't signed up to become the 51st state, has it.
      In terms of the other issue, the money I was talking about, which was about $4 trillion in two massive COVID welfare handouts, well, despite the General Welfare clause in the United States Constitution, Federalist 41 puts to bed any argument that claims the government has the authority to hand out welfare checks, even during a pandemic.
      So, printing money and giving it away to free to the American people or the Ukrainian people doesn't appear to me to be a Constitutional role of our government.

    Wife and I stopped by a local ford dealer last weekend and finally test drove a new Bronco. We actually liked it but they had ZERO interest in dealing with us. Salesman said they sell easily so there’s no incentives on price or financing. Correct me if I’m wrong but ford has a high number of days supply of broncos. If i didn’t want put a large down payment on it my payment would have been $1200-1500 and it’s just not worth it IMO. I’ll wait until they drop the price or buy something else. I’ve owned 4 jeeps over the years and enjoyed them so might go back to one of those if they are willing to deal. My son has a big interest in buying a gladiator but was told they sell them fast regardless of the fact that the dealer had over 40 units on the lot. The Rubicon he wants is over 60k. Can’t believe they aren’t willing to make deals. Fewer and fewer people have the credit to qualify now and don’t have the money to make the exorbitant payments. I truly hope the dealers and automakers wake the hell up. The economy is crashing in many areas now and they he salaries aren’t even close to keeping up with inflation. Every trip to the grocery store is 150-200 bucks a couple times a week and that’s just for my wife and I.

I owned a few so far 220,000 miles no issues just oil changes every 5000 miles,tune up after 100,000 miles..Like any truck you change gear oil in the diff and trans fluid as I tow do that 50,000 miles and its cheap to do so $250 changes both diffs and trans fluid...5.7 Hemi run perfect..expensive to maintain? You must be broke not to afford $250 every 50,000 miles not that you have to change the fluid but I do..Also every 2 years on any brand I change the coolant..
      Toyota's are expensive to maintain,I am a former Toyota tech...A customer spend $48,000 on a 12 year old Camry in just maintenance with 140,000 miles over the years.
