This show was a commemoration of the "big four" of American thrash metal music (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax). All of the bands came on stage to perform this song with Metallica with the exception of Slayer (only drummer Dave Lombardo participated).
The Big Four was a tour that had Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and Slayer on the same ticket. Am I Evil? is the jam at the end of the night with all four bands on stage.

This is from when the Big 4 played live at the same place in Sophia Bulgaria in 2010. I own the DVD with all 5 of their concerts (the DVD got 2 Metallica concerts), but them performing Am I Evil? Is still the best moment and song from the DVD, and can compete with any live moment.
If you liked this song, check out the studio version. This live version is shortened. Am I Evil was the B Side track on the Creeping Death single LP. In that live version you just watched, they ended the song right where the studio version kicked into high gear leading into the outro.

For the first time, the 4 most influential groups of thrash metal appear together on one stage. For all of us who were at this concert, it is a great unforgettable memory, a dream come true.

Watching you react is like when I first joined the military and was working with people from all over the country with different backgrounds. We take turns playing songs for each other and watching them react to it. I use to only listen to metal when I was in school. I had a whole new world of music opened to me like you guys. I really got into southern rap after living in Montgomery Alabama for almost 10 years and loving Yelawolf, Ritz, Lil Wyte, three six and Juicy J to name a few.

Well, the Radio Station who played their Music at the time had an on Air Singing Contest Acapella Style at a Night Club in East St. Louis, Illinois. I just got there in time to Compete for a Pair of First Row Seats to their Concert that Night Center Stage! Well, i ended up Winning the Pair of Tickets for Singing "Enter Sandman" Yep!, 1st. Place! Great Show!!! Me, and a Friend at the time had a Blast! The Show was in St. Louis, Mo./Maryland Heights, Mo. 1993. 💯❤ Mark Rockledge

SInger for Megadeth, the band that did Holy Wars, was the original Metallica guitarist. He wrote songs like The Four Horsemen, but he got kicked out of the band. They didn't talk for years. That's why it was so cool to see the old friends on stage again hugging and playing.
This was on their Garage Days LP, an album of cover songs, and the Garage Days Revisited double album from the late 90s which had those songs as well as some new covers. My personal favorite of the bunch was Small Hours, originally by a band called Holocaust.

In this day of people singing over recorded tracks, playing over recorded vocal, auto tune and lip synching, LIVE music is a rare unicorn. I have so much respect for a live performance, and I honestly despise anything less. The only exception being if there is some health concern that makes truly live music and vocals difficult.

Diamond Head were part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, along with Iron Maiden. The NWOBHM started in the late 70s and fused the energy and make-your-own-scene attitudes of punk with classic hard rock. It’s impossible to underestimate how important Diamond ahead were to Metallica. Drummer Lars Ulrich followed Diamond Head around for a while just being a fan, and slept on their couch. Metallica has covered four out of seven songs from Diamond Head’s first album (one was never released except on bootlegs). I suggested in another Metallica reaction you should try their cover of Diamond Head’s “Helpless”.
Think about it… there’s 4 legendary bands on that stage together. To have every single member on that stage together, was just an iconic evening 🔥 Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax Those were the bands on the stage together performing AM I EVIL = EPIC

'The Big 4' tour was: Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax each performing a set. Basically the biggest bands in metal from the 80's.
You guys really should re-visit the Metallica - One song. Your understanding of the metal music has grown so much these last six month. So I think that you guys might appreciate the song and the lyrics a little bit more that you did with the first video. The story behind that song is something else.

Diamond Head were part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, along with Iron Maiden. The NWOBHM started in the late 70s and fused the energy and make-your-own-scene attitudes of punk with classic hard rock. It’s impossible to underestimate how important Diamond ahead were to Metallica. Drummer Lars Ulrich followed Diamond Head around for a while just being a fan, and slept on their couch. Metallica has covered four out of seven songs from Diamond Head’s first album (one was never released except on bootlegs). I suggested in another Metallica reaction you should try their cover of Diamond Head’s “Helpless”.
