    Here’s my take on this. 90% of all Laptops in the world has fans so therefore expect the noise. Next, 85% of all people don’t need the most latest laptop anyway as long as the current one they have does the job (unless your MKBHD or Linus). Never compare new ones to the previous generation as it’s obviously lacking hence the upgrade.
    Just be patient.
    Ignore the noise. (Unless it’s your mom or wife)
    It gets warm ( because it’s an electronic device)
    Don’t compare it to Silicon Macs.

    My cousin had this exact laptop and he loved it. He carried it everywhere which’s he’s not done before or after. It broke in a fall and he bought a 13” MacBook Pro m1. Not a bad machine but probably a downgrade in most ways aside from efficiency.
    Edit: I am in the middle on the Touch Bar. I think it’s cool and useful, but the other half of me doesn’t like how the hold lint and dirt.. cause longevity.
    So I’m very in the middle on them. I personally went with the Air to avoid it and fans all together. But, that’s mainly just to minimize anything that can break down the line. Hoping this just lasts and lasts a long while.

      So far I'm really enjoying this machine for programming! I think it's even better for programming than my pretty high-end desktop PC with RTX graphics etc, purely because of MacOS and its portability. You will find that setting up development environment will be much, much easier on MacOS than Windows! Also that 32GB of RAM will really serve you well when you decide to try out on some some stuffs like Docker and VMs. Good luck on your learning journey bud! Enjoy your new machine :)

    Hi, I’m looking to buy this exact MacBook but the year is now 2024. What is your opinion now in the present 2024?

    • @GoJot
      @GoJot  10 месяцев назад

      Still a decent value, but I’ve seen the 2021 16” go for as low as $1200 so you might consider that or a 2021 14” unless you really need to use bootcamp for windows

    Would the chip run cooler, or get better performance in the cinebench test, if you had it running on windows? I’m curious if maybe the chip is optimized to run on windows.

      it runs hotter in Windows, but you could undervolt the CPU for better temps.

      Decent price, it’s a good computer. You should consider an M1 MacBook Air, it’s better in a lot of aspects. I don’t think the 2019 16” will get more Mac OS updates, something to consider

      i bought one for cheap. the speakers are amazing, the touchpad feels good to use,the display is very good, keyboard feels better on my 2017 13" but it still feels good (450 cycles) on this machine so it's been used for sure. one important thing is the latest os is a little laggy and battery is not as good. Definitely use os from 1.5-2.5 years like bigsur or older for max. safari browser is meh on ads, i dont use app store so only firefox with ublock origin. overall better experience than most windows laptops to be honest. i was always a diehard cringe apple hater but their quality is top of the line.

      @@adhizzle9985 ok you got one point but the way Apple tried to manage heat of those processor of 9th generation where ineffective compared to windows machines with the same spec. Its bullshit to reach its max temp only when connected to a higher resolution display. You can search online why are many people complaining about heat and certain moments the machine gets soft lock because of it. I own one and I don't recommend the base model, instead try to find the model with the AMD 5600M

    Your sound is really bad, hollow and echoey It sounds like you're in a phone booth. Can't you hear how bad? Invest in a good lav mic, since any video is only as good as the audio.

  • @andreidoanca4262
    @andreidoanca4262 11 месяцев назад +2

    No, no one should buy this one. it sucks...why? the fans run constantly, specially when connected to external monitors. also, for those using MS Teams because of work ...well, you'll hear the fans running constantly at a high speed...Teams will get slow and the whole OS lags. For those who want an Apple macbook, just stay away from this 2019 generation and buy the new M1/2 or so
