Did not work on iPad 3. Legacy iOS kit would only show options down to 8.4.1 (which wouldn't work either) and when trying to get 6.1.3 through "4) Other (SHSH)" I was unable to find or use current version's SHSH blobs to restore.

I honestly bought the MacBook Pro 2018 and it’s really good. I love the touch bar version and I bought it a decent price 350$! Can’t wait for the laptop to arrive. Try putting it in recovery mode first, then plug it into a Mac or windows computer depending on the MacOS version, it may use iTunes for older versions, and for the latest versions of MacOS, you would use the finder, on Windows, you would need to install iTunes. After putting the device into recovery mode, go to the device tab and then click restore, then restore and update. What this will do is reinstall iOS to the most compatible version supported on your device.

I know I’m over a year late here, but you can edit the file system with ssh ramdisk to set passcode attempts to -9999, use legacy iOS kit (can be used on Mac OS or Linux, I used Ubuntu bootable usb) you can find the file needed and guide on github, once you have the attempts basically unlimited it’s just a matter of getting the passcode right, I downloaded a complete list of 4 digit passcodes sorted by frequency of use and got into a 2nd gen iPod touch in about 3 hours of guessing passcodes lol, if you need any help let me know!!
