6:23 Wikipedia says Steve Jobs's 56th birthday, his last one alive. What a great time for this to pop up, with tomorrow being the 13th anniversary of his passing. Today is also Siri's 13th birthday with it introduced in the iPhone 4s exactly 13 years ago today.
I found a iPhone 4 running 4.2.6 iirc. One of the last versions of iOS 4. The battery had expanded when I found it. Put a new battery in it and it worked fine. Booted up without a passcode so I could see all the old apps and such on it. Ironically in the phone app the last voicemail was someone calling asking if the owner had found their phone yet, so I think it was lost around 2012 and obviously never found
Fun fact the iPhone 4 was the first iPhone to have the tamper resistant Pentalope screws of the device, but VERY early iPhone 4 Models actually have Philips screws on the bottom because they were added in an early production change about a month after production. I actually obtained a Philips screw iPhone 4 a few weeks ago when I bought an iPhone 4 and 5 for $25. The 4 was passcode locked but I bypassed it and dumped shsh blobs and it is on iOS 5.1.1 revA, and obviously FMI off since it is pre iOS 7. I did an IMEI check and the phone was made in August of 2010, so it is legit. It’s a shame I had to open the phone because the power button did not work but it should not devalue it much. Super nice addition to my collection overall!!! And if you are curious the 5 was also passcode locked on 9.0.2, but since I don’t have a Mac to bypass it and iOS 9 isn’t that rare on a 5 I just restored it and it is 16GBs and FMI off.
Where do you find all these old iphones to buy? they're in such great condition as well most of the time! I wanted a 1st gen SE for listening to music😊
@@the_big_al_01 I bought one, hope it's in good condition. I love that form factor, small, thin, light... And yeah it's actually pretty fast still indeed
Hey, I have a question. I might get a iPhone 5C, or 5. Can you downgrade the iPhone 5C to iOS 8 with iOS-tool-kit? I thought so because the iPhone 5 can. Also, if I found one on iOS 7, would it show a software update for iOS 9 or 10?

Actually FaceTime was released with the iPhone 4 in June ‘10 but it was the Mac which got it in Feb ‘11

Possibly stuck in 2011 since 2 things
1.this is an iPhone 4 white which was introduced in 2011
2. This might be stuck with iOS 4.3.
0:30 The iPhone 4 was the first iPhone to have glass front and back alongside stainless steel on the outside, even though it is brushed.
My first smartphone iphone4.
The place where dreams begin!
The white iPhone 4 and 4s were truly the prettiest phones ever made
Can you do an unboxing video of an iPad Mini 1 running iOS 7?
i have a white GSM one on 4.3.2 😃
I remember having my iPhone 3G updated to iOS 4 gosh that was a nightmare
Didn't the 4 and 4S have steel instead of aluminum?
Yes. Both phones have a stainless steel band, which also serves as the antenna.

I got an iphone 4 with ios 4.3.5 for 20€ and i live in Germany. Here its not really easy to get some.

It can only be tethered downgraded to iOS 8 or if it has blobs. You can also downgrade to iOS 6 but it is tethered and no touchscreen.
@@Cozumii I knew you could do it tethered, I just am trying to find untethered iOS 8 for the 5C. Thanks though (:
I’m wondering if you keep all the iPhones from all the videos in your collection at home or sell off some of them and keep only the rarest copies?
About the CDMAs not having SIM cards- I have a CDMA Galaxy Tab and it also doesn’t have one. I think that’s just what they did for that technology
Correct. 2G/3G CDMA devices didn’t use SIM cards.
No the iPhone 4 cannot use FaceTime through 3G on iOS 7.1.2. ..However the 4S can use FaceTime through 3G starting with iOS 6.
I have 4 white iPhone 4’s, I’m still waiting for you to buy an original iPhone on iOS 1.1.4 and unbox it!
You can downgrade the 2G to any version, so it’s useless
