I like to anchor my cloches with landscape pins, that way if a determined rodent or deer were to try and knock over the cloches it would be much harder for them to get at my new plants. 🌺💚🙃
Hi Solé/Soleil (sp?), great video... lots of great information - I really need to divide and transplant my hellebores this year... and I want to especially say thanks for recently introducing me to the root slayer shovel you use... I immediately ordered it and I absolutely love it - at my height of 4'10" and age of 74, it has been a game changer... I have also just recently received my hori hori knife which has become my 2nd favorite garden tool next to the root slayer... thank you so much for making my gardening that much more enjoyable... 🐝🐞🐝🐞🐝
LOVE your divide and transplant videos, Soliel !! Can you explain more of the process of what, when, and how to cut back perennials in the fall! (for instance, I have a white gaura that's 5' tall and don't know if I should leave it up for the winter ((zone 6a, SW of Cleve., OH)), cut it back 1/2 way, or down to the ground). Thanx SO MUCH for all that you do for us as your knowledge and passion is indispensable!!
I will try, but if I dont grt to it....in general if something is prone to disease or doesn't look good, I will cut it back. If it has winter interest or is marginally hardy in my zone, I will keep it until spring. 😀
Great garden plants has been really good for me! I’m in Livonia. We had a deer and her baby once 2 years ago (been here more than 30 years). Think the ground hog ate my 3 wee bit grumpy hydrangeas though!
How do you keep the grass back from your stones? Mine always creeps in- The new bed is really coming along! Great choice with the Gatsby Moon hydrangea. Thanks for sharing the video on transplanting.
Can you tell me the name of the Hosta in your front bed when you were dividing the hellabor?.....it was in the middle of your bed toward the corner of the house...it has a big beautiful yellow center and a small green border, big leaf...
I love your garden , specially the hostas 😍, can you please tell me how you make your mumps comeback every year or is there a specific hardy mumps that I am missing , cuz mine never come back. if that helps I’m in zone 6/7 pacific north east. Thanks for the tips on dividing
Hi, I have a nantauk daisy & it has lots of buds but no blooms. It’s in full sun & looks very healthy, can I expect blooms this late in the season.? Also I want to move them because the foliage is so tall, would I harm them by moving them before they bloom?
@ Oh ok I thought it was giving you a hard time I would love to grow some I just need to know if they grow in zone 9b South Texas….I will try to find out thank you.
I enjoy how fearless you are in the garden. You have taught me to go for it! If you want to split and divide; do it!
I am so glad to hear that!! 🤗
Just not lavender. I learned that lesson 😂

Yesss, I did just that today! 😃
I really do love your rich dark soil, that can take a lot of admendments in my soil.
I always enjoy your videos. After watching I’m going out in my garden and get busy. 🌸🪴
Love that!🙃
Thank you Sunshine. Looking forward to seeing what else you bought from great garden plants. 🌺💚🙃
Wow wonderful garden 🌿🌿 thanks for sharing 🩷💚
That’s going to look great!👍🏼👍🏼
Greetings

I am so happy that you love it! It really made a difference for me and glad others benefit! 🥰
I order stuff all the time from Great Garden Plants. I really like them! They have a nice selection of plants.
Yes they do!

I love how you said you "planted the moon"!!! 🥰
Thank you ! 😊

Darn ground hogs!! Glad to hear you had a good experience with them as well. 🙃
Wow the hellabours are massive! I'm still in search of those, which are so hard to find.
You can find them online as well through mail order. 🙃
@Suburbanoasis Thank you! I will do some searching!
My helibores don't do well even when I moved them. 3 have died. 1 is very tiny, no growth
Sorry to hear that, they do take some time to establish. 🙂

Thank you! My hubby uses the string trimmer along the edges of the rocks to keep the grass out. 🥰
Did you fasten with fabric pins on the netted protector so the wind doesn't blow it off?
It's made of metal so pretty sturdy, but I added landscape staples afterward. 🙂

I think you were looking at the June hosta or the Paul's Glory hosta! 🙃

You do have to plant Perennial mums as many are annuals. They then need to be planted early in the season. 😍
@@Suburbanoasisthank you
Very nice video. I think moving daisies is best in the spring but can I move them now? I'm in Cleveland.
You could, but you may be taking a risk with them surviving since you are in a colder climate.
@@Suburbanoasis Thank you. I will wait.

It may bloom yet, I have a daisy doing the same. You may lose some blooms through division, but it should be just fine otherwise!😍
Beautiful garden! Where do you get your plant cages?
The plant Cages are from Gardeners Supply company. 🥰
Watching from Flint Michigan. How far away are you?
A little less than an hour from Flint! 😀
That is a very tuff plant how long did it take you to dig it out?
Which plant are you referring to?
What kind of daisy are you dividing?
It's called a Goldfinch Daisy. 🤗
How long did it take for your hellebores to get that large?
I would say it took 3 to 4 years to get that size! 😍
The Hellebore my bad sorry.
It dug up really easily!
