- This excursion was part of a tribute to honour UK Railtours' late owner, John Farrow, who passed away in 2020. As one of Mr Farrow's favourite steam locomotives, Clan Line had the privilege of heading this tour from London Victoria to Sherborne, via Woking and Salisbury, returning by the same route. A memorial service was held at Sherborne Abbey Church during the break in Sherborne. All profits from the trip are being donated to the Royal Free Charity.
On the outward journey, I filmed at Winchfield and on the approach to Tisbury, where there was a temporary speed restriction in place. A quick trip to the Yeovil Railway Centre meant I got to see Clan Line being serviced and turned. The return filming didn't go to plan when the service train I was on terminated at Salisbury. But, I did see Clan Line as she picked up speed after departing Sherborne, and again as she departed Salisbury.
Great work by everyone at MNLPS; Clan Line looked fantastic as always.
