The paint job on Clan Line this time is something else, that’s the best ever. It never looks tatty anyway, but they’ve pulled the stops out for the 50th Anniversary Pullman which I’m going on, this celebrates Clan Line’s first return to the main line on the 27th April 1974.
The train line is very close to the 🏘 houses!! Wow. I live in Perth Australia 🇦🇺 & it is nothing like the UK train service & stations. Thanks for sharing Henry 👍
Great to see a Clan again. Fortunate as a kid to see the evening Glasgow to Liverpool train at Aintree on its way to now defunct Liverpool Exchange station, always a Clan. After a day at Lime Street with selection of Semis, Brits, Jubs, Pats, black 5s and so on, and a quick sprint to Walton on the Hill to see the evening NER goods train from Hull, we went home to underscore our Ian Allen with great joy. Thanks for bringing happy times back.
Thank you for watching. This isn't a Clan, there were no Clans preserved but there is one currently under construction. This will be 72010 Hengist and it will be great to finally see a Clan again.
@@HenrysAdventures Hiya Henry. Thanks for the info. I realised that the train shown was Southern region and a different beast to LMS Clans but it was the nostalgia that it reawakened. I should have made that clearr, thanks for clearing it up.
I like how they've changed the body colour of the class 67 to complement the trainset, rather than stick with the industrial red or green found on these units.
Superb refurb and repaint job. It’s a pity MNLPS can’t acquire a second Merchant so that they always have a loco in traffic. I do however understand the phenomenal costs that it would incur making it prohibitive.
Would anyone here be kind enough to divulge how one finds out when a steam locomotive is travelling on network rail - especially when it’s passing through a local network rail station?

Thank you for watching! Have a great day on the 50th tour!

You're welcome! Thank for watching.

Thanks for sharing Henry 👍
You're welcome! Thank you for watching! :) I'd love to live that close to a railway line but I don't think it's everyone's cup of tea.
Spotted myself on the platform with other members of the MNLPS. Sheep skin coat gave it away!
Thank you for watching!

Thank you very much! :)
Am I right, the freight train we can see at the beginning of the movie was headed by a DB-engine (Deutsche Bahn AG)?
Thank you for watching. Yes, that's right.
I like how they've changed the body colour of the class 67 to complement the trainset, rather than stick with the industrial red or green found on these units.
Thank you for watching. 67005 and 67006 are the locos which work The Royal Train, hence the black livery.
@@HenrysAdventures the royal locomotives are in a plum livery but it can look like black sometimes

THank you for watching! Yes it would be nice but as you say it would be impractical.

Thank you for watching. Best to check the Rail Tour info website.
Preserved locos don't just live twice or three times as long - they go on and on.
Thank you for watching! Yes, they keep going.
i werde diese woche and the nächste woche oft an king charles denken wenn er ins hospital rein comet
