      @@GabrielVIP, what I'm about to say is to be read as constructive feedback, particularly because I know you put a lot of work into this video and it actually helped me make up my mind - my sigma is arriving today! Please tell me whether my notes made sense to you.
      In copywriting, there are 5 stages of awareness by a consumer.
      1 - Unaware - they don't even know they have a problem
      2 - Problem aware - they realize there's a problem
      3 - Solution aware - they also understand there's a solution
      4 - Product aware - they realize a given product offers a solution
      5 - Most aware - they are very close to buying, they just need to deal with some objection or have a very specific question answered to make up their minds and move forward with the purchase.
      The idea is that you should treat each customer based on where they stand. You don't take an unaware customer and tell them about your product vs the competitor's right away. You have to first show them that you understand their pain points, that there's a solution etc.
      Now, read the title of your video again. "Sigma 16mm f1 4 vs ZV-E10 Kit Lens (Do You Need f1.4?)"
      That's VERY specific, which means that the people who'll click these are at LEAST 'product aware', most likely 'most aware'. And you treated your audience as if they unaware, or just problem aware.
      Modern copywriting theory would suggest one of the two following alternatives:
      1. Change the title of your video to something aiming at unaware or problem aware customers. "I have a good camera, but my video looks nothing like those by youtubers I watch" or
      2. Keep the current title and get to the point where you compare the lenses more quickly.
      Out of curiosity, I invite you to check your analytics for info about viewers skipping a few minutes at the beginning of your video.
      Do you see my point?

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  2 месяца назад

      It really depends on what you want and what you compare it with. Yes, it's half the price of the camera but it's 1.4. A Sony lens with 1.4 will be extremely expensive compared to this one. But of course, if you want to stay on a budget, the kit lens will be better.

    Voy a comprar la Zve-10 mk1para hacer vídeos como los que estás haciendo. Me gustaría poner poner la cámara justo frente a mí sobre mi escritorio.

    En ese caso me preocupa tener que desplazar la cámara hacia atrás en un trípode. 🤷🏼
    Qué opinas? La Zve10 puede hacer zoom con el 16mm fijo?

      Hello. It really depends on the space. If you want that blur and wide, clearly you need a 2.8 or a faster lens. If you want more versatility, zoom and smaller lens, use the kit lens. You can do great with both, the kit and Sigma. But because I don’t know that space, the best choice will be to start with the kit (it’s cheap), and if you don’t like it, invest in Sigma after that.

    Hi Gabriel, thanks for the great videos, they are so helpful. I do talking head videos and have the ZVE10 with the Sigma 16 and love it but find I cannot go below 1.8 or the image gets overexposed. There is just too much light in my studio (even with the lights not at their full capacity and blinds closed) and I don’t want to turn more lights off. So I am in the market for a ND filter. Do you have recommendations or could you please make an upcoming video about how to choose an ND filter (and potentially also a mist filter for a more cinematic effect) for the Sigma 16? Thank you!

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  2 месяца назад

      Hello :) I understand your problem.
      - First, let me ask you, how much light do you have there? :)) What is the ISO value you use? At 100 the image it's still burned?
      - If you have problems with the ISO at 100, yes, an ND filter it's perfect and I recommend you a variable one. This will be the most practical one. You can use it in almost any environment.
      I use this one: amzn.to/45sre8F
      I have two of them and the quality is excellent.
      I hope this will help you and let me know if you have questions :)

    • @MartaTarallo
      @MartaTarallo 2 месяца назад +1

      @@GabrielVIP thank you for getting back to me, and so quickly! Yes my ISO is at 100. I have a key light in front of me and another light on the side. Both are soft boxes. The one in front of me is not even turned all the way on and the one on the side is very soft. So it sounds like the only option is an ND filter. I didn't expect it to be so expensive though! The size needs to be 67 mm to fit on the Sigma 16 lens, right? I am literally just learning about these filters now and it's a whole other world that opens up! Keep the great videos coming!

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  2 месяца назад +1

      But what if you lower the intensity of you lights? Keep them at 30-40%... try until you find the sweet spot
      With ND filters it's tricky. If you don't buy a quality one the image will have a vignette and some ugly dark zones. This is why I recommend a PRO one. Honestly, I really believe that you can find a balance in the light so you don't need to use one.

    • @MartaTarallo
      @MartaTarallo 2 месяца назад +1

      @@GabrielVIP I can’t adjust the lights, they are an old kind fromFovitec with 3 switches on one (and turn 2 on) and one with a single switch 🥲 I got them years ago so now I’m stuck with them ahah. Makes sense, if you think it’s worth the money I trust you! But I’ll also try switching one extra light off first and lowering the aperture. Thanks again.

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  2 месяца назад +1

      Before investing I recommend you to keep the f at 1.4, keep the light as it is and increase your shutter speed. You don't have a lot of movement in your videos so everything will look fine. Try to keep the f at 1.4, iso at 100, set the lights as you like them and increase the shutter speed. Make a test and you will not see any difference because you don't shoot action. Let me know if it's of like this for you :)

    Should i buy zv-e10 or should i wait for mark ii

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  2 месяца назад +2

      In my opinion it's really about what you are using it for.
      If you shoot talking head videos (youtube videos, courses, online calls etc.), go with ZV-E10. If you pair it with a lens like Sigma 16mm f1.4 you will have a great setup. ZV-E10 mark 2 looks like will have 10bits and you really don’t need that for talking head videos. Also, for this, you don’t need slow motion.
      But, if you shoot travel vlogs and want to do advanced color grading and slow motion at 4k, wait for MKII.
      I use the ZV E10 since it was released and it is amazing. For RUclips you don't need more.
      Just learn how to use it at his maximum capacity, pair it with a good lens and that’s it!
      I hope this will help you to choose right :)

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  2 месяца назад

      It's hard to find the perfect response. If you shoot workouts indoors and use the camera on a tripod ZV-E10 it's perfect. But if you want to do cinematic 4k slow-motion for some exercises... Wait for MKII. Also, if you do outdoor workouts and want to invest time in advanced color grading wait for MKII. If you want something simple go with ZV E10. It’s really about your stile and how much money you want to invest.

    “We also call this kind of lens a fast lens because when you have it wide open at 1.4, the hole that lets the light in will be bigger and more light will hit the sensor faster.”
    I’m pretty sure light won’t hit the sensor any faster with a bigger aperture. Aren’t they called ‘fast’ lenses because you need a shorter exposure time with them, in the days of film?

    • @GabrielVIP
      @GabrielVIP  2 месяца назад +2

      Hey! Yes, you are perfectly right! You need a shorter exposure time, but why? Because more light will come in faster. Think about a pipe. If you want to fill a swimming pool and use a pipe with a bigger diameter, more water will pass through the pipe an you will fill it faster.
      This is reason behind that shorter amount of time for exposure.
      And yes, they can call it faster because of the shorter exposure time and not the mechanics behind it, but it’s the same thing. I should say in the video: “A bigger amount of light will pass through the lens in a shorter amount of time”
      Thank you for your interest and attention to the video man :) I really respect valuable feedback.
