Coups a pretty simple game, it sounds complicated but as soon as you learn all it really is is a list of actions and you only access to a few but can lie and do any (risking being challenged) it gets really easy to grasp.
Please let them know that they're doing the ambassador and inquisitor wrong. You can return any of the cards, not just the one(s) you draw or the activating card. You can use the inquisitor to return the other card to the deck.

Block someone from taking foreign aid. Assassin: Pay three coins and try to assassinate another player's character. Contessa: Block an assassination attempt against yourself. Captain: Take two coins from another player, or block someone from stealing coins from you. Ambassador: Draw two character cards from the Court (the deck), choose which (if any) to exchange with your face-down characters, then return two. Block someone from stealing coins from you.

Michael's tendency to set things up and be a sly devil on the shoulder of the others and then sit back and watch the world burn, and Ryan's ....Ryan-ness, would play into this game really well. Matt would be a target far too quickly, and I love them but Gavin can't lie for shit in these types of games (like how in gmod he just goes quiet) and Lindsay may be even too much chaos for the game as much as I love it normally.

Hold 9 coins, a Contessa and an Inquisitor, and you can threaten to coup whoever coups, assassinates or steals from you. Keep swapping your Inquisitor every turn to burn your turn and wait until everyone else is dead.
I'm much more of a fan of not knowing. It's fun trying to figure out who is and isn't lying (besides Jeremy because we all know he's almost always lying lol)

I prefer knowing what people have but how they lie more than trying to figure them out. I might have watched them for years but I still am awful at telling who is lying. Both options are good it is just preference if you want to be as if a player figuring it out or as a watching seeing how the plot unfolds with all the knowledge. Since I am not actively playing myself I prefer to see all the lies and the gutsy moves rather than wondering if it is actual a big play or not because I have no idea what people have.

That rule is honor system. It's very similar to a German game called Schummel Hummel were the entire game revolves around cheating, but if you get called out while cheating you can't lie and deny it. There is no way they can PROVE you lied. But that's straight up cheating and that's not cool.
Well when the game ends they can check his cards and validate his victory. And if it's found out he cheated AND lied about it they will find someone else to play Let's Roll in his place, because that's just wasting footage.
They should single out Jack's audio just for that high pitch 'he challenges the contessa!" at 17:56, I would use that as a ringtone. Jack makes some of the funniest voices.

Just a heads up on how the Inquisitor/Ambassador works: You draw from the deck, and then return ANY of the cards you have back to the deck. So you can use an Inquisitor, Draw a Card, and then keep both the inquisitor and the new card, returning your other card that you already had to the deck.
