I have this amp with a 150rms 300 watt at 2ohm 10inch kicker sub would i be able to add a second sub or should i just merge a second amp ?

I'm in the market for a 5 channel amp to power two sets of Alpine S-S65C that I have in my front and rear doors & also set of Alpine S-S69C on my rear deck. Would this amp be a good fit for them since its 65 watts RMS x 4 + 150 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms?

Great video!..considering channels 1-4 are AB class, how would you describe the sound? Better than D class (on audiophile level, warmer sound), or in this particular amp is not that noticeable?
I’m the old school, not sold on Class-D for full range, that’s why I really like this amp. I have heard decent sounding D’s but the AB’s always win SQ.
pretty good amp, if it could have a solid 500 watts rms at 2 ohms it would be a solid amp. but for me I would pay more and get a JL Audio XD700/5 you get almost 500 watts rms at 2 ohms on the subwoofer line and about the same 65 watts rms at 4 ohms and the amp is even smaller in size. this kicker amp is pretty good for the price though.
That is the sweet spot 500 @ 2-ohms!

My unit felt very hot and stopped working today. I live in south Florida but I would think these things are kind of built to withstand average hot car temps. After a few seconds the music quit and I noticed the green light went off and the red light came on, then went out and nothing. Did it again after stopping the vehicle. What is wrong here? All of a sudden it's doing this. Has done this before but usually works after shutting off the vehicle. I had this unit installed exactly 2 years ago. I hate driving without my tunes! Help!
You have gone it to protect mode, you likely have a wiring issue were the impedances are below the lowest capablity of the amp; if the setup hasn't changed in two years as you state, you should try this. You live in Florida; 1, check and clean your amp ground and alternator ground. 2, check and clean your amp positive and fuse holder positive and battery positive. One of these connections is likely corroded.
@@Qualitymobilevideo thank you for your input. I took the car to the guy that installed the unit/speakers/amp/swoof and he found that the driver door speakers were wired backward. I had body shop and window people in there last year and they messed it all up. My guy got it all fixed up.

I purchased this amp, and itsounds great, but at higher volume, the amp reduces the sub level on its own, and there is no way for me to disable that function
Unfortunately its rolling back either due to heat or incorrect wiring.

Load all of the channels when testing.
We loaded channels 1-4 and tested 5 separately. We are the only channel that also tests continuous power.

All good, we don't have enough resistors to do 4-channels 2-ohms at the moment.
