The original fantastic four had the perfect cast
Such a good Superhero Movie
Shame this movie got so much hate, the cast were good, story was average and it was in general a lot better than most people say. It was sure as hell better than that remake :/
First off, the 2015 film wasn't a remake. It was just a new adaptation on the comics. It's like with the 1990 miniseries of IT and the films Warner Bros. made. Those films aren't a remake of the 1990 miniseries. It's just a new adaptation on the book. There's a difference.
And yeah, it's a shame this movie gets so much hate. The cast was pretty great. And yeah, the story was average. It's a shame that we only got one battle with the team just for the climax. I get that it's an origin story, but still. And since I haven't read that many comics, I don't know what Doctor Doom is supposed to be like since everyone says this isn't a faithful adaptation on him. I know he's supposed to have more powers. And based on what people have told me, they say how he is indeed one of the biggest Marvel villains ever created which is why he needs to be the main villain of a MCU saga. However, despite this version of Doom not being totally accurate to the comics, we can all agree this version of him is way better than the one from the 2015. And while that film only had one battle just like this movie did, this movie did a better job for an origin story than the 2015 movie. They didn't even get their powers until it was the halfway point! There were only two small things that I thought the 2015 film did a tiny bit better. First off, explaining why Ben got his rocky appearance when becoming the Thing. In this 2005 film, we get why the storm caused Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Victor each got their unique abilities, but we never got an explaining for Ben (other than the fact he was outside and got the most exposure). For the 2015 film, it showed a bunch of rocks flooding into his capsule in which it shows that they were going to merge with his DNA. I don't know if the comics provide an explanation for it. Anyway, the second thing I liked from the 2015 film was Doom's voice. I mean, the voice in this 2005 film is pretty good too, but the 2015 is just deeper and a bit more scary for a villain. Especially when he says the line "There is no Victor. There is only Doom." But of course, the villain in both films have never actually been called Doctor Doom. Let's hope the MCU version of Doctor Doom and Fantastic Four will please fans. In addition, let's hope that we get a comic accurate version of Galactus.
