not a civil war cuff button, but a nice find anyways

can you ID it? It has a letter C embossed on the left side.

its a ww1 or ww 2 era button, In 1902, the design featuring the coat of arms of the United States was introduced, which included an eagle with the escutcheon on its breast, an olive branch and bundle of arrows in its talons, and a crest above its head with 13 stars encircling it. This design had some modifications throughout the years but remains on U.S. Army buttons still today.
