I totally believe that you just happened upon this while swinging the detector around like a mad man (which is not how metal detectors work because you have to keep it low and level with slow sweeping motions to be precise) and knew exactly where to dig up this thing that had old coins in great condition even though the container had holes in it. The first red flag is how the container that looks like it was made out of brass is not corroded at all. The second red flag is when he opens the container with all the coins the coins don’t seem to have that much dirt or mud on them if you see other examples of people finding actual hidden treasure, you know the smallest holes can lead to big amounts of water inside if it was buried in the area like this and it didn’t look like it sealed tight the coins also make a plastic noise like you just got coins from a gift shop also, those don’t look like any coins. I’m familiar with and what looks like to be skull on the front.
