Fan mail time today if you're interested ? Just stick around after the video and if not thanks for being here either way and I hope you enjoy today's video. Pretty simple scrap swarf melted into an absolutely awesome bar if I do say so myself. Definitely one of my favourite bars, that's for sure. So sit back relax take a load off and I hope to see all your beautiful people on the next video👊🏻😁. Oh and have an amazing day and a better weekend 👋🏻
🙃🤔🤐🤨😵😵💫😎👌👍💅Make copper or aluminum melt and make it into different shapes. All this effort and money is spent on these things. What you do is just a hobby for you and also you make yourself many viewers and followers as well. But you are rich. What you do, in my opinion, is ridiculous, especially not showing your face. This means that you are rich. I know who does these things. He does things like melting copper and other metals. He does this to make money. This is the work for living.\Why did I say this is ridiculous A simple example if you do this work you make the metals melt In the form of copper ingots or other metals in large quantities you sell them You put one piece this is for the hobby This is normal But to collect all the metals without selling them this is ridiculous Why did I say this is ridiculous A simple example if you do this work you make the metals melt In the form of copper ingots or other metals in large quantities you sell them You put one piece this is for the hobby This is normal But to collect all the metals without selling them this is ridiculous In this way, you can also have viewers and followers for this work or method.
Yes, I hear what you’re saying and I haven’t been doing too many mirrored bars lately, but I did use to collect all the dust for future melts and I still do just not as much. When I’m sanding outside all the dust is going into the rocks around the furnace so in a way I am keeping it still, but it’s not really transferring well up onto the shelves. Next time I go to the city I’m gonna look at purchasing a small CNC machine which will produce a lot of swarf as well as probably dust so I’ll be back on top of it all collecting as usual. I’ve also been looking at dust extraction units that I can set up permanently so I don’t need to keep packing everything away as that’s quite time-consuming each time.👍🏻
Idk why seeing all the mail made me emotional but it did. You are truly a loved individual. Idk if it’s a real quote but “to be known is to be loved” & your subscribers know you so well every gift is so well thought about and caters to your interests. Much love D ❤
@@bigstackD I love your channel man! My favorite parts: when you separate all the impurities, pouring the Liquid Metal in to the mild, the sanding and polishing! Oh, and the initial Melting of The metal as it starts to get soft and turn liquid. And when you collect all then dust so it doesn’t go to waste… Cool stuff, mate!
I'm not even much of a dog person, but for your two, I make an exception. The way the yellow one uses the rugs to scratch his belly and face is just hilarious.
That Copper bar came out perfect! I'm a big fan of copper melts anyway. I'm glad you kept the "crust" on the bar. Woke up to 65F ( 18.3C ) today in S/E Michigan USA My Sister who lives in N/W upper Peninsula of Michigan woke up to 50F ( 10C ) the big difference is were expected to get upto 80F ( 26.7C ) and she is only getting up to 58F ( 14.4C ). You get some of the best gifts I've seen creators get on RUclips. From scrap metal to melt, to art made out of scrap metal to antiques like the old copper bug sprayer etc. They say that millions of tons of copper came from Michigans Upper Peninsula, theyve traced copper found in Englands old cache of coins and jewelry, even copper that was used in Egypt during the reign of the Pharoahs all traced back to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Take care and have a wonderful weekend!
Hey dude! A friend from Alaska coming back again. Last winter it hit -48c, probably the only one at my workplace that can say that I can't wait for it to come back! Keep up with great vids!
Oh wow! Cheers for the super thanks mate that’s very generous and I really do appreciate it. And damn that is bloody cold!! When it gets 0°C here I don’t want to move because it’s that bloody cold and I couldn’t even imagine that temperature you’re talking about that is crazy cold. It’s hard to even comprehend those kind of temperatures, especially where I live but a few hundred kilometres from my house it can get over 50°C, so there’s gotta be a high and low at different places on the planet, I suppose, I’m just glad not right where I live. Thanks again my friend I really appreciate it you have yourself an awesome weekend👊🏻😁
No worries at all my friend yes I will definitely keep being awesome I’ll even tell my wife that but she will probably roll her eyes and walk away but either way doesn’t matter👍🏻. I keep complaining over these last few months about the bloody rain, but once I start hitting the 35 - 40°C days again, I’m gonna bitch about that too! 🤷🏻♂️
-48 C is a normal winter day for me. In Yakutia, where I live, it's a normal winter, it's cold for us from -60 C and below (sometimes 2-3 days during the winter). My wife grew up on the Black Sea, so my mother-in-law called and asked - What's the weather like here? My wife once answered - Normal -40 C, the kids went to school!
Fun fact: Those rings you were seperating are from cutoff tools on a lathe. If a part is finished from a solid bar, we use cutoff tools (usually 3mm) and plunge straight into the round bar
That copper ingot came out awesome!! Looks good! That's a nice little haul from your subs! It's nice to see people from all over the world sending stuff to the Big D. We'll have a chat about a shredder when I get the current project finished. Have a good weekend mate.

Fab video this week BigStack; amazing the difference that offcuts of metal Swaff make when it’s coiled up compared to the loose stuff very interesting, cheers for that 😎👍⭐️
The temperatures here remain fairly constant at around 25-30 degrees C. The only variation is in the amount of rainfall, with 2, 'rainy seasons', a year that can last months at a time. I'd imagine swarf to be a good source of pure metallic scrap, but as you demonstrated, it's a bit of a pain trying to make it more manageable to fit into your crucibles. The pour looked good, though, unsurprisingly. The brass is as lumpy as usual, when poured. The large ingot looked good once cleaned and polished.

Right on! But I’m pretty sure we could put a slab of rotted meat into the position of Prime Minister in Australia and that would do a shitload better job than the monkey We have in charge right now!
one trick with swarf is to get a pipe and jam a bunch in, then use a shop press to compress it. takes a little time but you can actually get it pretty dense.
it'll be 98 F here today. With humidity high enough that it feels like your standing inside someone's mouth when your outside. I hate it. I wish I had a vacation home next door to you so I could spend our summers in AU and our winters here in Texas. Cheers mate!

Cheers from Mesa, AZ USA. 108F today.
one trick with swarf is to get a pipe and jam a bunch in, then use a shop press to compress it. takes a little time but you can actually get it pretty dense.
Love the feeding of the maggies, they sound like curious kitties.😁👍
it'll be 98 F here today. With humidity high enough that it feels like your standing inside someone's mouth when your outside. I hate it. I wish I had a vacation home next door to you so I could spend our summers in AU and our winters here in Texas. Cheers mate!
One of my favorite parts is the ice block. I love how the bar is mirror finished on top and rough on the sides.
B’s eye is looking all better know! I have two dogs, myself. Words don’t express how much I care for my dogs.
I really like that finishing technique you used on the large bar. It looks so cool.
78 degrees F and rainy here in Virginia. Awesome video as always. Thanks for your dedication to the channel. Glad you like the stuff we sent. It was so cool watching you open all the fan mail today. Cheers!
I'm in Phoenix, and it's supposed to be 107°F (41.7°C) today, 111°F (43.9°C) tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing our cooler temperatures myself.
The time lapse of the copper swarf melting was a quality shot. I'd love to see more of those in future videos
today we had a blasting 34°C, which is a pretty hot day here in austria. gladly my SO and I were out with our boat at lake constance! awesome sunset, lovely day! :)
nice work with the blower. i seen that iron go in and was like that was unnecessary, great idea..also the dabloons with pcs missing look cool
those little rolls are very visually appealing.
Yes they certainly are I would like to do something with resin and them and as I only went through half the Copper there’s still quite a few left. I’m just not sure what I would do yet🤔
Good morning from New Mexico!
It's 70 degrees at 5:00 am.
The Frenchies were utterly adorable! The birds and the dogs made me laugh! - Thank you! - Muddypaw🐾
It's 4am and 80°F in South Texas. Chilling out watching metal melt.... 🎉
I'm from Houston TX
I know it would be difficult, but making a large puzzle with pieces from different metals would be really cool.
It's a rainy 65° in Caribou, Maine right now. Be good for some nightcrawling tonight. Fishing tomorrow!
