I don't like the back of the 370 roadster. That bubble hump looks off. I far prefer the cleaner lines of the 350 roadster. I prefer the 370 coupe over the 350 coupe, though.
Id like the 350z more if the roofline wasnt looking like a sloping speed hump. The 370z has this nice roofline shape that resembles the earlier 240z cars. The side profile of the 370z really gives it that resemblance of its past z cars and has a great look to them.

Fantastic analysis. We are speaking the same language when looking at the timeless lines on the 350. It’s why I keep urging current owners to stop modifying their cars. They are aging extremely well.
370z owner... That's why mine stays stock and "boring" looking. Other than the FI carbon fiber exhaust and z1 2-piece rotors and window light window tint, my car looks stock/clean with the sport package wheels. It's also blue, which there was only 199 in midnight blue made, so it grabs looks even though it's one of those cars that's dismissed by everyone as "not good enough", but they keep looking!
I have a 03 350z de, and the only mods i plan is to have stock looking parts. If i put a hood on, i want it to be based on a stock one, same with bumpers and fenders too, with headlights from an 08ish model. Everything else is just me making improvements to interior and performance, primarily suspension.

Lets be real: Unless you drop serious coin into the Z, it's not going to win many races, but you can make it handle a little better, and do a few things to improve it's livability. I just keep mine clean/ceramic coated, picked a classy exhaust from fast intentions (carbon fiber mufflers), better front swaybar fixed the steering/turn in/understeer dynamics; 2-piece z1 rotors eliminated needing to mess around with the brakes, intakes helped with the sound of the motor.... I did sound deadening and a much better stereo. It'll never be a lexus/bmw quiet on the road, but it's great for what it is.

Amazing video mate, I love what you mentioned about “in person “ as opposed to looking at it in a picture. They are a similar looking car most people would confuse it for the same one until you actually see one….. they surprisingly look COMPLETLEY DIFFERNT in person
The longer wheelbase of the 350 makes for a longer door , therefore it can be difficult to get in and out in tight spaces. I noticed this right away when getting in my friends 370, a shorter door is easier to get in and out .
I can't decide which I prefer. It's 50/50 for me. The nicer elements of each design integrated into a single package for the best of all worlds design would be ideal, but it's rare to have your cake and eat it in the automotive world.
Honestly the 370z Nismo is the one for me, the 350 always looked a bit melted in my eye. If I had to change two things on the 370z the first would be round off the peak of the roof so it was the same as the 350 and the other would be changing slope of the roof going to the trunk. Whenever the car was parked in specific angles (see 4:11 ) It always looked liked the roof line never ends.
You mentioned the nismo 370z as your preference yet you'd wanna make its roofline look a bit similar to the 350. So in essence you like the 350 more. The way you explained it seemed pretty silly. The roofline and side profile of the 370z really reminded me of the older z's of that era n just looked so sportier and edgier. Looks miles better that slopy speedhump looking 350.
When the 350 first came out it looked too radical for me, but after hours of Need for speed Underground I knew I wanted one. When the 370 came they ruined not just the head and tail lights but the profile when they shortened it.
You should definitely check out the 2014 nismos then, they did a better job on updating there and giving it also a two tone color. I have one and I love it, also love the 350z as well. Have one too and I love it as well
370z hands down especially in stock form. Design for 350z is more clean and has distinctive elements from the original Z but it just looks too anemic for a sports car. I’m no car designer so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt but let’s let time takes its course and see if 350z’s design becomes more appreciated than 370z as it’s more “timeless”
Honestly I think the 350z took a lot of inspiration from the Toyota Celica. If you look at the 350z's design from the exterior to the cabin, you can see a lot if similarities to the Celica.
I actually agreed with Bambi 100% on all of the comparisons between the 350z and 370z. And comparing the 2020 Nissan 370z Nismo vs the the All New Nissan Z, I still think I’d choose the 370z Nismo. Anyway, nice review on the design comparisons!
Just bought a 2021 370z after owning one previously. The Salesman at Nissan told me his boss just bought one and garaged it. The 400z doesn’t really appeal to me.
Interesting, our opinions are definitely very far off, i find the 370z to just be a more perfected version of the 350z. I find the 350 lines to be very bland, and the tailights are my least favorite thing on the car tbh. I just see way more aggresion in the 370 with the sharp lines mixed in with the roundness. I also definitely prefer the 350z nismo i think it needed the added aero to boost the aggression. And the white 370z nismo that you show most of the time is the v2 which in my opinion doesnt even hold a candle to the v1 style. But thats just my opionion and im always happy to know everyone has their own taste. ~370z v1 nismo owner
Anyways as someone who recently bought a clean, mechanically sound, accident free, clean title 350z track edition for 700 usd. I’m stoked you picked the 350z.
How is it a rip off? It's how it was designed lmao. People putting widebodys themselves are rip offs lol The only naturally wide hips that come to mind in the automotive world are Porsches, Dually Trucks, and Z's
To me personally i like the looks of the 350z but it just looks dated compared to the 370z. The 370z takes the looks of the 350z and just improved on it overall imo.
Nismo Z v2 is still the champ I love how it rev’s, NA motor, looks, Recaro seats tachometer dead smack in the middle of the dash.Tribute to the late Paul Walker “I almost had you” and that’s good enough for me🤘✊to the first and last Z . No Turbo
350z is so much better, it was a high tide point for the whole Nissan team (thanks Ajay) Awesome details are door mirrors and small details like indicator stalks etc, every detail was agonized over. 370 was different for the sake of being something new. It is definitely not bad but not quite as clean as the 350Z
I really enjoyed this video over lunch, kudos! For me, it's the 350Z. In large part due to NFS Underground 2 but over the years, the 350Z has continued to make me stop what I'm doing and watch it go by with admiration. I can't wait to own one in future.
I could wax on about these two forever. I like how the 350z has the essence of a Z but nothing more. It looks like a Z in style and proportion but without any blatant callbacks to old cars. The 350 still looks modern, and not retro modern. I also think it looks alittle cleaner and more pure. The 370z is beautiful too, but you can see the retro modern influences creeping into its shape with the 240z style canopy roof which took some getting used to at first but overall I think it works. What I don’t much like are the further enlarged wheel arches and bigger rear end make which make it slightly chubby looking. The pre facelift front end suited it better before it was changed in 2013 too. The only thing I’d change about the 350z are the reverse/indicator lights that are below the taillights. They were absent in the concept and it looked much cleaner. Now that the new 23’ Z34 is coming out I think the 370 still looks good but I prefer how the new car does slim down the wheel arches and tidied up the back end in a more compact/clean way. The 240z references are 10 times more blatant now with much of the styling referring to the original which I had mixed feelings about since up until the 370z most Z’s always had a forward thinking design that wasn’t so “retro” but I’m happy it’s being made, and in many ways the 240’s lines are timeless.
I own 3 of the older chassis Z's and I still Prefer my 76 S30 and my 81 S130 Turbo and 96 Slicktop Z32 body lines over the the newer Z33 and Z34 models. They were just curvy and sexier to me. The New Z is a call back to those 3 70-90 year era models and for good reason. Nissan is on the right track now.
the 370z rear fenders are the same for the nismo an regular it just looks wider than the normal ...i got my 370 with 140k clean title no problems an a nismo body kit for 8.5....i couldnt even find a nice 350 that cheap..sooooo happy i got it i love it more than my s2k
As a biased z33 owner, it's just effin gorgeous. Timeless. The 370 is a lovely looking car too but the styling is too busy. The 350 is just so smooth and clean. Fk is it sexy.

As for the new 2022/23 Z Just forget it completely, it will go down as a complete miss!!...........Was it designed by Microsoft?
I think the wheels are important here too. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite body. Both have their advantages. A top send 350 in brickyard has always been one of my favorites. 370 definitely got the better wheels.
I like the 370z rear better. I feel like the 350z just has a boring bumper. Maybe it’s because mines just a convertible and I’m missing the whole hatchback but that’s just me.
It seems like it's really a matter of taste. I sold Nissans in 2003 in Colorado Springs and the local newspaper interviewed me essentially because I'd owned older Porsches. '67 912, 1970 S, and the piece of.hit '79 924. I was impressed with the vehicle and vowed I'd never spend money on another Porsche. I'd take the rear end of the 370Z. Peace
Personally I would take the 350z Nismo over all of the options. I love the look, I think they stuck their neck out with the design and that’s what I love most about it

The longer wheelbase of the 350 makes for a longer door , therefore it can be difficult to get in and out in tight spaces. I noticed this right away when getting in my friends 370, a shorter door is easier to get in and out .
The last sentence was the perfect way to end for us Nissan fans! Thank you!
350 has the better exterior. 370 has a far superior interior.
wouldn't say far, 370z interior still feels pretty cheap
You should show how the G35 is actually a beautiful car and why it has a timeless design
G37 is better and doesn't look like the 350Z's cousin.
@@ShiningJudgment666 I used to agree but I think the G35 is better than the G37 looks wise.
One suggestion: it will be nice to have the two different cars with the same colour paint
If I had to change two things on the 370z
the first would be round off the peak of the roof so it was the same as the 350 and the other would be changing slope of the roof
going to the trunk.
I'm asking myself the exact same question : 350 or 370, and why ? Thanks for the video
350Z forever 💔⌚️
When the 350 first came out it looked too radical for me, but after hours of Need for speed Underground I knew I wanted one. When the 370 came they ruined not just the head and tail lights but the profile when they shortened it.
You should definitely check out the 2014 nismos then, they did a better job on updating there and giving it also a two tone color. I have one and I love it, also love the 350z as well. Have one too and I love it as well
@@hirvin1371 Yeah I guess I left out until the NISMO came out. That looked worlds better👍👍
@@waynemangan9925 well said
As a 350z owner, something is off about the 370z (which is why I don't like it), wouldn't trade it for the world
370z hands down especially in stock form.
I got a 06 G35 coupe great car it's essentially the same as the 350z shares frame, motor, transmission and suspension has different body and interior
350z style paved the way for alot of newer sports car designs.
Honestly I think the 350z took a lot of inspiration from the Toyota Celica. If you look at the 350z's design from the exterior to the cabin, you can see a lot if similarities to the Celica.
@@UnitiveWILLIAM24 More the Audi TT than the Celica
350Z is where it's at.
I actually agreed with Bambi 100% on all of the comparisons between the 350z and 370z. And comparing the 2020 Nissan 370z Nismo vs the the All New Nissan Z, I still think I’d choose the 370z Nismo. Anyway, nice review on the design comparisons!
6:38 Broooo are you familiar with the 300ZX? Because that’s got basically the same trunk profile. There’s your Z history.
Love the 300ZX beautiful car a work of art to say the least.
The rear on the 350z nismo is like that to vent out the air under the car, without it it the rear bumper has a parachute effect.
Anyways as someone who recently bought a clean, mechanically sound, accident free, clean title 350z track edition for 700 usd. I’m stoked you picked the 350z.
The 370z looks better to me especially with a nice body kit/lip kit
350z veilside or rocket bunny beats the 370z all day
I think the 370 looks so much better in person they’re so wide it’s literally like a wide body off rip
How is it a rip off? It's how it was designed lmao. People putting widebodys themselves are rip offs lol
The only naturally wide hips that come to mind in the automotive world are Porsches, Dually Trucks, and Z's
Excellent analyses, you got a follow! I've got a 07 HR and the simple lines have always been my preference.
To me personally i like the looks of the 350z but it just looks dated compared to the 370z. The 370z takes the looks of the 350z and just improved on it overall imo.
Had both, 370z for me :)
Have both 350z for me with veilside
I personally prefer the 370z ,for me it's a good mix between a 350z and a r35 gtr
370z
You completely have the same opinion as me. I Just love my 350 Z
Z cars just have the best silhouettes
especially the Hr 350z
I have the late model 2008 350z, and really love the curve roof; it's such an artistic design.
I really enjoyed this video over lunch, kudos!
For me, it's the 350Z. In large part due to NFS Underground 2 but over the years, the 350Z has continued to make me stop what I'm doing and watch it go by with admiration.
I can't wait to own one in future.
I love my 350z track. It’s beautiful on its own but coil overs wheels and a big brake kit really does something for me.
350Z all the way for me..
The 70 just looks plump. 350 all the way.
I've always liked the 350z way more because it just looks so much cleaner and sleek designed
I still prefer 370z design, it is timeless, sleeker, more elegant overall
OMG, the 370z looks so much better. It's a total redesign.
That's why we bought a Ford KA 20 years ago. Simple graphics connecting the front and rear in Ford's new edge design.
Actually, you should do a video updating the graphics of the 350 to price it’s more timeless than the 370 cuz I’m not convinced
Prove not price
just curious where are you getting those numbers for a stock 370z? everywhere online I check it's 4.7-4.8 0-60 and a 13.2ish 1/4 mile.
Lol recorded is like 12.5 for stock he don’t know
Those performance times sound really optimistic!
the 370z rear fenders are the same for the nismo an regular it just looks wider than the normal ...i got my 370 with 140k clean title no problems an a nismo body kit for 8.5....i couldnt even find a nice 350 that cheap..sooooo happy i got it i love it more than my s2k
You got the Entire nismo body kit? 😭
What's the top speed
As a biased z33 owner, it's just effin gorgeous. Timeless. The 370 is a lovely looking car too but the styling is too busy. The 350 is just so smooth and clean. Fk is it sexy.
I said before and I'll say it again the 350Z is a Timeless Beauty !! Hands Down ."A MILF that only get better as she ages. " That why I just bought an absoulute peach of a Model for 25K USD (Yes not a mis-printI) Where I live it's the most expensive place on the plant to owne any car.!!.............I do not like 370 light styling design at all. As for the new 2022/23 Z Just forget it completely, it will go down as a complete miss!!...........Was it designed by Microsoft?
Great video as always! What about the new mazda cx50?
Love my 370Z
I'd still get the 50z it's nice I love the older look
I much prefer the 370z it's a sexy looking car I love the head and tail lights, the styling of the car and of course the improved performance
Thank you!
I prefer the 350z but it’d be perfect if it had the 370z Interior
Both cheap but this comment hella underrated
I think the wheels are important here too. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite body. Both have their advantages. A top send 350 in brickyard has always been one of my favorites. 370 definitely got the better wheels.
I like the 370z rear better. I feel like the 350z just has a boring bumper. Maybe it’s because mines just a convertible and I’m missing the whole hatchback but that’s just me.
Thanks you
I've always liked the 350Z more because it is cleaner and simpler.
Flawless analysis, totally agree with you.
I love the look, I think they stuck their neck out with the design and that’s what I love most about it
Personally I prefer the smooth curves of the 350z. That amazing smooth silhouette is the main reason I bought a 350z.
