    This comment section has never jammed before. Everyone saying that this is so easy and that they are hardly doing anything. Its a jam session not a dual. Its making music with people and having a good time doing it, not showing off to some kids on RUclips who don't play themselves.

    This is how music is supposed to be made! Just a bunch of people sittin' in a room, doing what they love, not caring about wether it sounds good or not. @@erepsekahs Oh, really? Do tell, why is that?

    • @erepsekahs
      @erepsekahs 2 года назад +2

      Because you stated emphatically that this is the way music is supposed to be played. Not all that silly sitting down and writing and thinking and waiting for the inspiration to return, and then having spent months composing an orchestral piece, rehearsing and rehearsing and adjusting your score when you perceive an opportunity to tweak it a little to achieve just the right ambience, tempo, complexion, impression, flavour, look, tone, tenor, and spirit. Just ask Sir Paul McCartney, I am sure he will tell you that when he had an idea for a song...let me quote you.... They were 'Just a bunch of people sittin' in a room, doing what they love, not caring about wether it sounds good or not.' ....end verbatim quote. That's what you should tell the conductor.....in fact , if he were still alive you could ask Sir Paul to pass on your words to Sir George Henry Martin CBE, and Her Majesty the Queen for being silly enough to assume Sir George Martin had any influence over the Beatles and their music at all. Is that good enough for you?

      lol.. Johnny will never be the star amongst the caliber of some of the players in this clip. im betting as time marches on, you will see less & less successful popular musicians willing to be filmed or associated with Johnny Depp as/in a musician format..its clearly visible that his motivation to share space with a lot of these players has nothing to do with music. im guessing these players are learning this as we speak.. those with integrity will remove either themselves or JD from future PUBLIC events. damaging their reputations wont be worth it. it wont get big, it wont get talked about. it just.. wont.

      Knowing his place? He couldn't even find his place, that was the problem. The rest (even Paul who has never been a great guitar player) are so out of his league it wasn't even funny. Depp looked like he was holding a guitar for the first time. Spent most of his time fiddling with the tuning.... Then kept tapping his fingers on the frets because he was completely lost. Did you see anyone struggling? I didn't. Paul "knew his place". Depp was just out of place....

      exactly - I love both of your comments Sandra and Banished. - Both Johnny and Paul are wonderful gentlemen - and Johnny always said that his first love was music; but -the acting thing turned out to be his "bread and butter" - - - he plays with a lot of musicians - he's pretty darn good as a slide blues player - - - something i always wished i could do - I taught myself to play when i was 10 yrs old (i'm now 55) and i was never able to manage "slide blues" - - - in fact i've given away 3 guitars in that 'trial' - I can play 'flamenco' style - - - but there is certainly what I call my "yardstick" when it comes to guitar. I'm much better with percussion and wind instruments.

      that's cool . . . music and playing - hell just listening to it aught to be for enjoyment - - - I don't get why people have to pick the crap out of everything. . . the world and life is tough enough- music is something that has always helped all kinds of people through just about anything - - and I've played in "professional bands' - and 'free gather jam gigs' - - - and got questioned for playing music for free - well I can tell you - it was a hell of a lot more enjoyable and fun; then the "play this song (maybe 4 times a night because the drunk audience didn't remember the first 3 times) - and playing with a random group that spills out of a coffee house into a park - - - Now - that's fun. You want to see some really Joyful music check out the Playing For Change videos - - - awesome talent - and the $ donated goes to music schools for kids. Good stuff.
